Prologue
Simple, Tennessee 2007.
The Thirsty Turtle was the place to be seen and tonight all of them were officially legal to be in the bar. Technically that never stopped any of them before, but tonight was special. Tonight was going to be the last time they were all together for a while, and since all of them knew how precarious life could be, they all wanted to do it right.
“All right, boys, everyone grab your glass,” Garrett Riley, the oldest and the leader of this ragtag bunch of misfits, shouted over the loud music.
“Are we ready?” Nate Curt asked, looking at Samuel West and Toby Bass, who both nodded.
“Hell yeah!” Justice Hightower shouted, bumping into his twin brother Quinton, who just smiled and held his glass high.
“Got it, we’re ready!” Casper Dane and Dustin Michaels said.
“We’re good to go over here!” Anthony Campanella and Kyle Whetford yelled.
“Okay, Chip. You are officially a man today. So make it a good one,” Garrett yelled, lifting his shot glass. Tonight was a night for celebration.
Chip Patterson grinned like an idiot, and knew it. They were all here for him. He loved them all dearly, though he never told any of them that. They were his brothers, even if they didn’t share one single bit of DNA. Looking at their faces, Chip felt like he could accomplish anything. The Hightower Brothers, Justice and Quinton, had just made it home from a yearlong deployment and were due to ship out again in the morning. Garret Riley and Zac Phelps were leaving, too. They had their first assignment with the US Marshal Service that was going to take them away from the only home they knew, all the way to Miami, Florida. Even Toby Bass and Sam West returned just for him. Where those two had run off to, he didn’t know, nor did he care. What mattered was that they were all here for him. While some were returning to college in the fall, the rest were staying behind, along with him, to take care of the farm.
Life was good.
“Whenever you’re ready, dipshit!” Harley Nelson shouted.
“We ain’t got all night, bro,” Adam Lattimere added.
“Yeah, hurry the fuck up, we have a date,” Tic and Tac Young said at the same time.
“Okay! I’ve got it,” Chip shouted, effectively silencing them all.
“Thank god, my mouth was going dry,” Blake Noble muttered.
“Okay boys here it goes…Twinkle, twinkle, little star, what are you drinking at the bar? Is it vodka? Is it Jack? Who gives a fuck just knock ’em back!”
Every single one of his brothers stared openmouthed at him and groaned. Chip smiled as he tipped his glass back, letting the fire of Marvin’s moonshine burn its way down. God, he was going to miss this. It wasn’t very often that he and his brothers weren’t fighting and posturing for dominance amongst the group, and after tonight, it would probably never happen again. But for now, he let that all go and enjoyed what time he had with them. That was, until his phone rang

Jason Ramsey sat at the bar nursing another shot of rotgut. Why he stopped in this little podunk town he would never know, but after sitting on his Harley for the last three days, he was in desperate need of something more than dust and wind in his face. When he saw the blinking lights of the Thirsty Turtle, he figured why not. He had nothing better to do anyway.
He wished he could say his life was all hunky-dory and smelled of roses, but it wasn’t. That’s why he lived on his bike, traveling from place to place. Just thinking of his past gave him the willies. However, there was nothing he could do about it now. What was done was done, and there was no changing it.
Jason stayed long enough in his hometown of Boggy Bay, Georgia, to make sure his father was carried away in handcuffs for murdering his mother. That son of bitch could rot in hell for all he cared, and when the bastard turned to him, and pleaded with him to help, Jason turned, gave his dad his back, and rode out of town. He hadn’t been back since, nor would he ever be. He was done with that town and everyone in it.
Riding from town to town had given him the freedom to forget. He couldn’t do that when he stayed put for too long, and as it was, just sitting at the bar, listening to the loud music and patrons hoot and holler, was bringing back many of his childhood memories he wanted to forget about. He downed his drink quickly, placed a twenty-dollar bill on the bar, and left, passing a table with several men celebrating loudly.
Jason grinned as he heard one of the men shout, “Twinkle, twinkle, little star, what are you drinking at the bar? Is it vodka? Is it Jack? Who gives a fuck, just knock ’em back!”
Shaking his head, he walked out into night, got on his bike, and headed out, for where he had no clue.

Simple, Tennessee, Two years later
Sara swallowed hard. She was late. Hell, she’d be late to her own damn funeral if her head weren’t attached. Regardless, she was in trouble, and there was nothing she could do about it. Her poor ass already tingled for what was about to come. She stopped before the door and took a deep breath before stepping into the dark room. Her pulse raced unsteadily.
Her eyes flicked about the room, adjusting to allow her to see better in this stark, cold room. The far wall, lit by only one candle, gave the room a dark and sinister feel, Her tongue darted out to sweep over her dry lips as one hand reached up to tuck a long curl behind her ear.
“You’re late.” His voice cascaded around the room, harsh and angry. She trembled.
Closing the door behind her, she took another deep breath, knowing she had just a few short minutes to do as she was instructed. He had told her this was how it would end between them, and she agreed. As much as she still loved him, they had agreed to one more time together. Now it was time to finish what had started a little over a year ago. It broke her heart to think of not being with him anymore, but he refused to give her what she wanted, and she couldn’t forgive him for what he had done. However, she could give him this one last good-bye.
“Strip and place your clothes on the chair next to you,” he ordered.
“Yes, Master,” she whispered, and did as he instructed quickly. After placing her shoes on top of her now-folded clothes, she stood, waiting for his next instruction.
“On the table, wife.”
“Yes, Master.”
Sara headed for the table on her right. At first glance, the table appeared to be a normal gynecological table, but upon closer inspection, she could see the straps that adorned the sides, made of calf leather with shiny silver buckles at the end and leg braces at the foot. Her eyes roamed over it, seeing the way the back of the table was slightly inclined, and wondered what he intended to do to her. Gulping, she scooted up onto the table and spread her legs, one on each of the leg braces. A soft blush rose over her cheeks knowing the picture she made, her creamy, naked flesh illuminated by the flickering candles, freshly shaven cunt splayed wide open, and her ass even with the edge of the table. Her nipples hardened in the coolness of the room.
Her ears picked up the sound of his footsteps against the hardwood of the floor, each one louder than the one before, the sound hammering in her ears. She squeezed her eyes shut as one tear trickled down over her cheek. It surprised her to feel it there, but then she realized the enormity of why. This was it. This was going to be their last scene together.
Her heart broke.
Smack!
The sound of flesh hitting flesh echoed in her ears, as her hips rose up off the table as he slapped her bare cunt hard. Her eyes flew open, only focusing on him.
“Much better, wife,” Chip said, looking down at her, his electric-blue eyes locked with hers, “You agreed to this scene, wife, and you knew what you were getting into. You are still technically mine to do with as I please, so pay attention. You are not a free woman yet.”
“Yes Master,” she whispered softly. Her mind wandered to the beginning of their relationship, their meeting, their courtship, and their marriage. They had been young and in love. They were so happy together, and then the real world crept in with a vengeance. At the age of twenty-one, and in her last year of college, she found out she was pregnant. She remembered calling him, giving him the news. When he didn’t say anything, she figured he wanted nothing to do with her, then two hours later, he was standing at her door, with two wedding bands in his hands, asking her to marry him. Thus, their life together began.
They were happy and made do without many things, but the love was there. Then her accident happened and everything vanished. He had changed that night, and nothing she could do would bring him back. He became harsher, more determined than ever to see to it that she obeyed him. She went along with it at first, thinking he was just scared, but over time she started to think differently. When she asked him if they could try again, he flatly refused. That’s when her world crumbled to dust. He had taken away any chance for her happiness with one trip to the doctors, thereby sealing their fate.
He refused to give in, and she refused to live a half life. She wanted it all, thought she had it, but it didn’t take long to realize that she never had him at all. The only course left to her was to leave him, setting him free. She loved him enough to do that.
He moved about the dimly lit room, his mind totally focused on the task at hand. As he walked back to her, her mind was barely able to grasp the glint of pain she saw in his eyes as he held a spreader bar in his hand.
With determination, he strapped each of her calves to the metal bar, and hooked the center of the spreader bar to an eyehook dangling from the ceiling. Reaching above, he pulled sharply on the rope, forcing her lower body into the air, ripping a short scream from her lips as her shoulders pressed painfully into the table. She heard him moving around, the sound of a few of their special toys tapping against the wall on which they hung. Shivering, Sara wondered which one he was going to choose, her attention drifting for just a bit as she wondered if it was the crop, the flogger, the cane, the—
Suddenly her body jerked, tears welling up in her eyes as she gasped for breath. Her mind played the words wooden paddle repeatedly, like a tiny song in her mind. She sucked in a deeper breath as the pain washed over her, and her ass began to throb from the one swat.
Chip walked to the head of the table, grabbed a handful of her hair, pulled on it and leaned in close, hissing into her ear, “Oh, wife of mine, this is just the beginning. I have the whole night prepared for you. You’ll receive your punishment like a good little wife, and be happy about it. Then, I have something special in mind for later, but mainly, I am going to fuck you senseless until I fuck you out of my system.”
Sara moaned as her body shivered in delight.
“Oh, and, wife, I forgot to mention the best part. You’re not allowed to come.”
Sara gasped. “Chip, I can’t!”
“You will!” he shouted back at her angrily.
“But I’ve never been able to do that!” she yelled back, dread pumping through her veins.
/>
Moving in real close, she could smell his peppermint breath on her skin as it cooled her, “If it’s the last thing I ever teach you, wife, you will remember this night, and the fact that I taught you how to master your own orgasms. Defy me and you will pay.”
Chip moved back to the opposite end of the table swiftly and forcefully rained down five swats onto her upturned ass. Twisting and turning, she tried to escape the blows coming down on her ass, feeling as if her ass had been set on fire. He paused, softly rubbing her ass, feeling how warm the flesh was, his eyes sweeping over hers, seeing how pink she was even in the dim lighting.
Smack.
Smack.
Smack.
Smack.
Smack.
The sound of the wooden paddle hitting her flesh echoed in her ears. Tears flowed freely down her cheeks as another five swats were delivered. Gasping for breath, the pain shot through her, tensing as she saw him raise his hand again.
The paddle fell repeatedly ten times in total, ripping screams from her. Her voice reverberated off the walls. Before she could take her next breath, his hand swooped down and swatted her ass five more times before dropping the wooden paddle. It dropped to the hardwood with a loud thud, and she could finally breathe again. He stepped back and watched her as she writhed, her cries, lower in tone, now filling the room.
He stood there watching her.
He was waiting. She knew it.
Taking another breath, she stilled her tears. He grinned and moved to the front of the table, one hand reaching out and cupping her cheek, his thumb swiping away the last of her tears. His other hand pushed the hair back from her face. He murmured, asking, “That wasn’t so bad, now was it, wife?” He continued stroking her hair, softly talking to her, helping her to calm down. Slowly her breath returned to normal. She turned her deep-green, tear-filled eyes to him. He cupped her face in his hands. Leaning in, he kissed her on the forehead. “Time for round two.”
