All Mason knew for certain was he would see more action, as an XR-8 war bird pilot, or on some type of covert, strategic black ops. That’s what he was trained for, what he did best. He was a warrior. Mason’s immediate concern was for Rachel’s safety and the safety of his children. The High Council promised to keep them safe. Was anyone safe from the vengeance of Sukesh?
The XR-8 rose above the Brussels base, higher and higher. Mason launched her at full thrust. He would arrive on Moon Base in three hours to rendezvous with the High Council’s Inspection Team. He would apply all his criminal forensic skills and expertise to the investigation, and utilize all his intuition and considerable powers of deduction on this mission.
Mason would never take his eyes off his enemies. He was the High Council’s “Sword.” He would strike at the heart and head of the rebellion, and decimate it. Mason swore an oath to never rest until the alien lizard invaders and their human hybrid collaborators, the Yellow Man and his powerful renegade Sukesh, were driven out of the solar system once and for all.
Major John Mason was focused, resolute, and prepared for battle, as the XR-8 streaked through space. Unwavering and intense, he was fully engaged in the way of the warrior. It was John Mason’s way.
