Eye Books is a small, independent publisher founded in 1996 with the aim of publishing books about the extraordinary things ordinary people have done: everyday people who decide to stop talking about their life and actually go out and grab it. There is often a strong travel element to these stories.
Eye Books and Lightning Books have agreed to work in association. Eye Books is offering Lightning Books access to its 20+ year history and infrastructure in return for exclusive access to Lightning Books’ proprietary publishing process. Lightning Books is using this process in conjunction with access to the Eye Books infrastructure. Together they aim to publish books that challenge the way we see things, with Eye Books focusing on non-fiction and Lightning Books on fiction.
Like our writers, we passionately believe that the more you put into life, the more you get out of it. We also know that it isn’t easy to stop what you know and start what you don’t know. Through the books we publish we hope to inform, educate, motivate and inspire our readers to be able to let go and do what they think they can’t do, however big or small. We believe that by challenging the way we see things, we can evolve and grow and hope our books – both fiction and non-fiction – help readers achieve this.
