McKenzie Cousins Box Set Four: Books Ten, Eleven, Twelve Page 12

by Lexi Buchanan

“Did being together feel more intense?” she asks quietly.

I think about what she says, and I have to agree. “Yes. We were made for each other, babe.” I tap her on the ass.

She moans and slowly wiggles her hips as Mr. Happy gets happier, going hard for round two.

She lets out a husky laugh, which turns into a moan. "I'm not sure I can move if I'm honest." Her fingers dig into my arm as her pussy tightens and throbs.

“You don’t have to move. I’m going to love you from behind.” I give her a soft kiss and find it hard to move my lips. I trail them over her shoulder and down to her breasts.

"They're extra sensitive now I'm pregnant," she admits, a slight blush on her cheeks.

“Good to know.” I pull my cock free and hiss at the feel of her trying to keep me inside. Climbing over her, I toss the covers and settle behind. Wrapping a hand around my cock, I stroke, letting the head bob against her bottom. It doesn’t help that she wiggles and presses against me.

Sliding a hand over her thigh, she lifts it up and over mine. I align our bodies and slide inside the welcoming heat. I can’t get as deep in this position, which I’m relieved about because any deeper and I’ll come in one stroke.

“Jaxon,” Poppy moans. “I don’t want you to move.”

I clench my jaw and breathe through the intense pleasure rushing through my body. My eyes trail down her back and land on the gorgeous twitching ass and, further still, to where half of my cock is shoved between her thighs. My pulse thuds hard as I slowly withdraw and watch myself slide right back in.

“Are you okay?” I whisper the question against her ear as I plaster myself against her warmth while slowly rocking into her tight body.

  “More than okay. Are you?”

“Oh, yeah!” I hug her close and struggle for breath when I tweak one of her rosy nipples, and she squeezes down. Intense pleasure shoots down the length of my dick, and I try to fight not to come.

Poppy starts moaning and arching her back, taking all of my length. I hold still until she takes my hand and moves it down her body. My fingers trail lightly over her mound. In response, she grinds and rocks and pulses, and, the moment I slide my fingers between her wet pussy lips, lights explode behind my eyes. She moans, long and loud as her orgasm pulsed through her body, her sheath squeezing and massaging, dragging every last drop of semen from my dick.

Even when our breathing becomes normal, and I feel a slight chill in the room, I don’t leave her body. My dick will slip free soon, and until then, I’m going to enjoy having the woman I fell in love with, in my arms. I smile against her shoulder while my hands move to caress our baby.

“You and our baby mean everything to me, Poppy.” I breathe a kiss on her shoulder before reaching for the quilt. I pull it over us and continue to spoon against her curves with my hands on her belly. Her hands cover mine as I add, “I’m going to keep telling you until you believe me, and then I’m going to carry on telling you.” I kiss the nape of her neck and feel her shiver. “You’re my girl, Poppy.”

She turns over and snuggles back into my arms, our legs tangled together. “You mean everything to me, too, Jaxon.” She blinks the tears away. “I missed you.”

Kissing her sweetly on the lips, I cradle her closer and hold her while she falls into sleep.

  I join her.

I watch Jaxon stretch lazily as he climbs from the car. He spots me watching him from the passenger seat and winks. His eyes darken as he watches me in return. I know he sees the sated look on my face that he put there. He’s probably filled with masculine pride right about now, and so he should be. The man is too sexy for his own good. I notice the women looking at him—I always have. However, it’s me he’s always looked at.

“Hold that thought,” he grins, closing his door as he runs around the car.

Slipping my hand into his, he tugs me out and into his arms as I tease, “So, what thought would that be?”

He backs me up until I’m pressed against the car with his large body. He cups my face and whispers, “The dirty thoughts running through your mind.”

I smirk and wrap my arms around his waist, my hands sliding under the back of his jeans and boxer shorts to the bare skin beneath. His eyes widen in surprise, but when I lightly scrape my fingernails over the bared skin, his cock becomes hard and insistent. Enjoying the power I have over this man, I lean in and whisper into his ear, “I have a lot of dirty thoughts running through my mind.” I nibble his earlobe and feel him shudder.

Slipping out from the cage of his aroused body, I move toward the back entrance of Kenza, without moving my eyes from Jaxon. He’s breathing heavily with his hands resting on his hips while his eyes don’t leave me. “You are asking for trouble.”

“As long as it’s from you, then I love trouble.”

His eyes narrow as he moves toward me. Once he’s close, he wraps an arm around my waist and ushers me inside after using a code on the security panel by the door.

As I move along the hallway, the music gradually gets louder until we’re in the central part of the club. Jaxon wanted to check on his brother after the earlier conversation at their parents’ house. I found Ryan easy to talk to, and our private words helped. I, too, sensed something bothering him.

Jaxon is leading me toward the bar, but I don’t see Ryan. Neither does Jaxon as his feet start to slow once we get nearer. Then we spot him at the same time. He’s hidden toward the end of the bar with his gaze fixed elsewhere. He’s totally oblivious to anything that’s happening around him.

I catch a frown on Jaxon’s brow as he moves me along the edge of the bar and closer to Ryan. A few feet away, I notice the girl Ryan has his eyes on. I should have known. The McKenzie men are rather intense once they set their sights on someone. The poor girl doesn’t stand a chance. She looks younger than Jaxon and has long red hair that shines like silk under the spotlights.

Closer still, and I notice a red blush along her cheekbones. Oh, she’s aware of the way Ryan has focused on her. Jaxon, of course, doesn’t realize what’s going on, not even when he lifts me onto a tall stool at the bar and then proceeds to lean on the black granite bar while waiting for his brother to notice us.

Ryan doesn’t pay us the slightest bit of attention.

Jaxon becomes irritated, so I distract him with a nudge into his side. I direct my gaze to the girl and his brother, and back again until I see the light bulb go off in his head. Jaxon looks between the two of them a few times and starts laughing.

It’s the laughing that finally moves Ryan’s attention to us.

He blushes and coughs before moving toward us with only a slight hesitation in his step. “Two nights in a row,” he comments. “What have I done to deserve this?” he drawls, casting a sidelong glance toward the girl.

“Who’s the girl?” Jaxon asks while I cringe.

Ryan, for all his friendliness, I think, is actually a shy guy when it comes to someone he really likes.

“What girl?” he asks, but only after casting another glance toward her.

Jaxon rolls his eyes and laughs before a frown appears. “I’ve seen her before.” He taps a beer mat while the clogs turn in his head, and then he announces, “She was Alexander’s date for New Year at Aunt Lily’s and Uncle Michael’s before he got together with Rachel. I can’t remember her name.”

“Gretchen,” Ryan says immediately. “Leave it.”

Taking pity on him, I change the subject, “How long have you been managing Kenza?”

If I’m not mistaken, he offers me a smile of relief. “Around five years.” He shrugs. “I’m a people person. I’m also able to tune out the music, so it doesn’t bother me. It bothers Jaxon and Sofia after a while.” He places bottles of water in front of us. “I’ll be back in a minute.”

I turn to Jaxon. “Doesn’t it bother you?”

He smiles and kisses the tip of my nose. “No. The nightclub isn’t my scene, doesn’t
mean I’m not proud of what Dad built, or how Ryan runs it now.” His hands slide to my thighs, pressing them open. Once he’s moved between, he places his hands on my hips. “I love my job at McKenzies.” Pausing, he kisses my lips. “I’m going to take you back there tonight. I want to have you all to myself.”

My heart beats rapidly, and I only have eyes for him. “I’d like that too, but won’t your parents’ be disappointed?”

“Mom will be until Dad refreshes her memory about the finer points of a new relationship or an old one in their case.”

I chuckle. “I remember you telling me about your family when we were in Boston. You have a large one while I have my brother.”

A mischievous sparkle enters his eyes, and I know exactly why. Telling him he has a large one no matter the context, has sent his brain to his penis.

He coughs and smiles as he says, “David?”

“He’ll come around.” I slip my hand up inside of his shirt and watch as his breath catches, and his eyes narrow.

“Are you playing with me, babe?”

“Hmm,” I murmur. “I feel alive being able to touch you when I want to.”

“I won’t object to that. Just don’t shove your hands into the front of my pants, or it’s going to become embarrassing.” He grabs my bottom and tilts me forward until his erection is nestled between my legs. “You know what I mean?”

I pinch his nipples before removing my hands and wrapping my arms around his neck. “I know exactly what you mean,” I whisper, enjoying nibbling on his earlobe, or more, his reaction.

“Can you two—” Ryan leans close, “—please not have sex on my bar?”

Giggling, I bury my face in Jaxon’s chest.

“You need to get laid,” Jaxon comments.

“And you need to take your girl home,” Ryan says as I peep at him, he grins. “Otherwise, I’ll call Dad.” He winks, moving away.

“What do you say? You want to go and get naked?”

“You are so sweet.” I slip from the barstool, rubbing down the hard ridges of his tight body.

He puts me in front of him and keeps an arm around my belly as he pushes me through the crowd. Back in the hallway, he whispers, “How about dirty?" He growls. "Because as soon as we get home, I'm going to have your panties off, and you spread out before me like a feast." My core throbs as he continues, “Once I’ve eaten that little pussy, I’m going to slide my cock between those amazing breasts of yours.”

“Oh, Jaxon!” I moan as we reach the door, and Jaxon stops. “Those images are hot.” I push my bottom against the erection pounding behind his zipper.

Jaxon curses. “You want it dirty, Poppy?”

I’ve never been so blunt about sex in my life, but before shyness creeps in, I blurt, “I want you to fuck my breasts while I suck the head of your cock so I can watch you come.”

“Fuck,” Jaxon growls. “I’ll be lucky if I don’t come in my pants.”

“We better get home quickly then.”

Having a job is frustrating when all I want to do is spend the day in bed with Poppy. She’d admitted that the pregnancy made her horny, and it had me too. I only have to look at her, and I want her. That isn’t the only reason I’m on edge if I’m honest with myself. There’s part of me that is afraid she’ll disappear again. I know this time is different than Boston, but when she is closer to her brother than me, it has me worried. I wonder if all it would take is for him to beg her to return with him, and she’ll go. I’d hope not, but it leaves me uncertain.

Sighing, I spin my chair around, so I face the mountains with their snowcapped peaks. Lexington is a beautiful city to live with Boston being a close second. Both cities hold a special place in my heart and, not just because of the family being in Lexington, and my association with Poppy and Boston. I grew up in Lexington, so it will always be home to me. Boston is a fun and beautiful city, and after spending four years living there as a student, it will always be my second home.

I need to talk with Poppy instead of constantly getting her naked. We need to figure out where we both want to live, locate a beautiful house with a garden for our child to play safely in, and I need to find the courage and tell Poppy how I feel about her. We can’t have any misunderstandings between us. Not anymore. My heart hopes that my feelings are returned. I mean, she did come back looking for me, right? So that goes on the positive list. If I was to keep a list, that is.

“Woolgathering, Jaxon?” my cousin, Michael drawls, dropping into one of the visitor’s chairs.

Turning back to my desk, I lean back in my chair. “I have a lot to think about.”

“So, I believe.” He grins. “Brooke wants to meet her, so do the rest of the family.”

Groaning, I run a hand over my head. “That will have to wait. I need her reassured—me reassured—that we’re both where we want to be before the family overwhelms her.”

“Together, we are overwhelming. I’ll buy you some time, but not much.” He grins. “A Dad, huh?”

“Yeah. I didn’t see that one coming.” I laugh. “It brought her back to me so, that’s all that matters.”

Michael rests an ankle over his knee as he relaxes. “The right woman has a way of bringing the McKenzie men to their knees.” He shakes his head. “The first moment I caught sight of Brooke, I knew she was going to turn my life upside down. Wouldn’t have had it any other way.”

I watch Michael closely, and he laughs. “Spit it out, Jaxon.”

Groaning, I roll my eyes. “I can’t believe I’m debating asking you for advice.”

“Sirena did?” He rubs his hands together. “Look how happy she is now.”

“I want to make sure Poppy is happy being with me, and I’m not sure how to do that.” I cringe. “I mean, I know she’s happy in, um, other areas of our relationship, but how do I find out if she’s where she wants to be and that it’s not just because of the baby?”

His mouth curves into a smirk as he tries to hide a laugh. “Your vocal cords seem to be working just fine with me.” He cocks a brow.

“Why isn’t it easy to get the words out?” I ask quietly.

Michael leans forward. “Because your heart is on the line. Opening yourself up for rejection is never easy. However, she has a brother who is more than willing to care for her and the baby. Which means she didn't need to move in with you to be well taken care of. Her heart is obviously as involved as yours is.” With that said, he stands and moves slowly toward the door, fastening the button on his blazer as he goes. “She’s carrying your baby. I think you should go for it.” At the last minute, he turns, “Good luck.”

As the door clicks shut behind my cousin, my phone rings. I smile when I see Poppy’s name on the screen and the beautiful picture I took of her this morning.

“Are you relaxing?” I ask, accepting the call.

  “I’m trying to.”

I frown. “What is it? Are you okay? The baby?” I sit forward, planning on running up a couple of floors to get to her.

“I’m fine.” She chuckles. “I’m sorry I worried you. I was just wondering where my clothing is. David said the courier left a couple of hours ago, but I don’t have anything yet.”

“I’ll find out and let you know. Don’t worry. Relax.”

“Okay. I’ll carry on watching Netflix.”

I hear the smile in her voice, as I add, “I’ll join you soon. I think I need a day off.”

“I’d like that,” she whispers, her voice becoming husky.

Swallowing around the lump in my throat, I say, “See you soon,” as I finish the call.

Where the hell has her things gone?

Picking up the landline phone, I ring down to Reception, and when Sian answers, I’m reasonably sure I know where Poppy’s belongings are. “I’m trying to locate two suitcases, Sian. Do you know where they are?”

“Why yes, Sir!” her words grate on my last nerve as I clench my jaw, so I don’t say something I’
ll regret. Then again, I’m not sure I’ll regret saying anything in a temper to that woman.

“Where the fuck, are they, Sian?”

  “Behind the Reception desk, Sir.”

Slamming the phone down, I let a long stream of curse words leave my mouth. That woman needs to fucking go.

Picking my cell up, I head toward the elevators while I shoot a quick text to Alexander. Fire Sian or redeploy her away from this building. PLEASE!

Unfortunately, I don’t have the authority to hire and fire staff, but I hope one of my cousins will do as I ask, or at least shove her somewhere else in the company. That woman is nothing but trouble.

The elevator takes forever to get me to the ground floor, which I think has more to do with my impatience than anything else. As soon as the doors open, I stride toward the Reception desk and watch as Sian perks up. I don’t smile in greeting because I’m too pissed. I place my hands on the desk between us and lean in. “Where are they?” I snarl.

She backs away, and her smile slips. Good. I spot the bags tucked into the corner.

Without another word, I move around the desk, grab the bags, and hiss. “You had instructions to have them delivered to penthouse two as soon as they arrived.” I check the log on her desk and note that it was over an hour and a half ago. “Why are they sitting here?”

  “I’ve been busy.”

I bite my tongue before I curse. “Security are the only ones allowed on the private floors, as you well know?” I get in her face and notice she finally backs down. “Do your job, Sian, and we won’t have a problem.”

Stepping on the elevator, I know without turning around that Sian is shooting daggers at my back. I don’t care. What I care about is Poppy and her happiness. The elevator is quicker going upwards than it was going down, so I arrive at our apartment in no time at all.

The moment the door closes behind me, I drop her bags by the door and smile when I find her lying on the sofa, her heated eyes running over me. I smirk as I move toward her, leaving my blazer on the back of a chair. I’ve discovered she likes looking at me, which is a significant turn on.
