CHAPTER 1
Dreams
S hane woke to darkness, her mind bright and alert. She slipped from her place beside Ryan and stole across the room to retrieve her phone. It was from 5:30 AM. Early, too early to be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. The world beyond the blackout curtains would be dark, even here in Vegas where the city never slept. She was curious about Micah’s condition since his heart attack in the hotel lobby. As of yesterday, he was doing better- so much better than what could have been. She refused to let her thoughts spiral down the black hole of could-have-been. Shane followed her instincts and sent off a short heartfelt inquiry to Michael, Drew and Tess; his sons and niece. Her phone vibrated in her hand, and somewhere in the darkness, she heard Ryan’s phone chime with an incoming notification. It was Amanda checking up on her. Shane set a small cup of coffee to brew before she checked the incoming email.
Amanda their driven, type A, all business no play boss wanted to know how things were going. God bless her, Amanda was being patient with the whole situation. The focus of the four-day weekend trip had been to woo the Rossi family and close the deal. The deal with Vino and the Pairing campaign. Shane knew Amanda would be very interested in the next steps, but Shane didn’t see much happening today. She read through Amanda’s email and began preparing her response. Shane reassured her fearless leader that they had taken all steps to accommodate the family during this difficult time and would continue to build the relationship until a contract be signed. Hopefully, that would be soon. Amanda’s email response came back quickly her tone appreciative and encouraging. Her instruction was for Shane and Ryan to spend the remainder of their time in Vegas as needed and she’d see them at the office upon their return.
Satisfied with the exchange, Shane drew back the blackout curtain slightly. It wasn’t as dark as she’s imagined. She sank into the hotel’s side chair and watched the sunrise over the cityscape while she sipped at her coffee. By the time she heard Ryan stir, the sun cast a soft glow on the horizon and her coffee was gone.
She closed the curtain, shutting out the morning light and moved through the darkness until her knees connected with the mattress. She crept in as carefully as she’d crept out. His body naked and warm, curled around her; even asleep, he pulled her in.
Shane rubbed his head as he pressed against her, his breath warm on her skin.
“Ry.”
No response.
Her hand traveled from his close-shaven head down his back, rubbing.
“Ryan?”
Nothing The man was out fast. Shane felt the draw of sleep and let him hold her. The morning was still early, and they were still riding on this deal. Shane let the lingering to-do list fall away, following him into a dreamless sleep
She woke to his kiss whispering on her lips.
“Hey you,” he said, holding her tight. He smelled of sleep.
“Hmmm.” She rolled into him, nuzzling her face into his chest, not wanting to make words. She didn’t feel bright and awake any longer.
He kissed the top of her head.
“Time to get up.” She nodded and stretched into the warmth of the bed as he slid out, Heading for the shower. “You want to come?”
She heard You want to cum and smiled. “Hmmm. Yeah.”
“I’ll warm it up first,” He said as he disappeared into the bathroom.
Shane nodded, “Okay.” Shane turned onto her side snuggling into his pillow.
“…be right there.”
“Okay.” His voice was distant, beyond the closed door of the bathroom, masked by running water. His phone vibrated under the pillow beside her with an incoming text. Then it vibrated again. She cast a glance over her shoulder to the thin line of light streaming into their hotel room.
“Ryan?” She called, not overly enthusiastic. He didn’t respond. Duh, He couldn't hear her. Not with the water running. The phone buzzed again.
She slid her hand under the pillow and searched for a moment before her fingers curled around his slim black phone. It glowed with the light of the incoming messages.
“Hi, Ryan…” Shane read.
It was Tess.
Shane’s breath caught her throat, and her curiosity spiked as she waited for the message to continue. Tess was typing.
“I just wanted to reach out with an update. Micah’s doing well. The hospital moved him to a less monitored floor. He’s no longer under observation. Working to get him back on his feet. Thank you for being there for me.”
The message was short and straight to the point. Nothing more needed to be said but Tess was still typing. Shane’s heart pounded in her ears. The message continued.
“I’d love to see you tonight. The boys are headed out to take care of some business. I was wondering if we could do dinner or something. I need to do a little shopping while I’m in town. So…”
Shane waited while the words hung somewhere between Tess’s fingers and the incoming message. Shane held her breath while Tess’s proposal hung in the ellipsis.
“Maybe Shane would want to go with me?” the message completed. Shane’s heart skipped as a smile played across her lips.
“What do you think?” Tess asked.
Yes, please. Shane would like to go. She replied. She was too happy with her decision to respond or rather, respond as Ryan to worry about it.
“Shanie?” He beaconed from the hazy bathroom light. She jumped, startled.
“Sorry,” she said, the word was soft, a half-hearted apology.
“Coming.” She said as she slid from the bed and set his phone back on the side table. Goosebumps rose on her skin as she crossed the room and stepped into the steamy bathroom. He was already under the running water. She stepped inside the shower with him. The heat of the water hit her skin, as he slid his arms around her and pressed his lips to hers. Mmmmm.
Shane smiled into the kiss. “Hello again.”
“Hello,” He kissed her again. His body warm and soapy. “What took you so long?” It was the closest thing to a pout she’d seen yet. Jesus, that was cute.
“I was sleepy,” She paused, “Then then…” Jesus, her mouth was moving faster than her brain. She hadn’t meant to confess to reading his incoming messages.
“Then what?” he asked.
Oh shit. “Well,” she paused considering the right words for a moment before she came clean. “Then, I was reading our texts.” He raised his eyebrows. “From Tess. Tess started texting and I was curious about Micah.”
His eyes narrowed in concern; he didn’t even care that she’d breached his privacy. “What did she say?”
“She wanted you to know that Micah was doing better.”
She watched his concern shift to relief.
“God, that’s great.”
“I know. They moved him to a different floor; they are working to build his strength before he can go home.”
“Okay.” He wrapped her in his arms, in a celebratory hug. “That’s so good.” Shane moved into him, caught in the delicious space between his muscular body and the shower’s heated spray. “What else did she say?” His chin rested on her shoulder, and she could no longer see his face.
“She said she asked if you wanted to have dinner with her tonight.” Shane listened closely to his reaction to this piece of information.
“Oh.” His voice stayed even, nondescript, giving absolutely nothing away.
“She also wanted to know if you thought that I would go shopping with her today.” His body was still, as he considered the proposal.
“Do you want to?” he asked.
She laughed. “Go shopping with Tess?” Shane was now the one to consider. Yes. Yes, she did. “Sure, that would be fun,” Shane said testing the waters.
He nodded and smiled. “She knows all the best places.”
“Ry?” She pulled away.
“What?” he asked. She felt it between them, he was holding back words he didn’t want to say.
“What?” She mirrored; her eyes wide. “Is it weird? Me going with her?”
“Oh, you know...” He stroked her back for a moment before his hands working the water through the tangle of curls that hung down her back. “I guess so. There was a time when she was all I could see.”
Shane nodded and closed her eyes. Listening as he chose his words carefully.
“And now?” She coaxed.
“And now, she’s not.”
Simple and straight forward. Good answer, but she still pressed him. “I saw the kiss. You were holding yourself back from her. There was no lack of desire. You still want her.”
She felt his lips on her shoulder. His fingers trailing down the back of her arm. “It’s different between Tess and me now.”
“How?” Shane asked. His arms tightened around her, and she understood he wanted to protect her from what he was about to share.
“She’s beautiful. I’ve always been attracted to her. That part isn’t gone.”
Shane nodded in agreement. “She’s incredibly beautiful.” It occurred to her that she was going to have some sharing to do as well.
Ryan continued, “And she has always had the ability to draw me in. The difference now, is you.” He drew back and looked at her before he went on. “With you in my life, like this…I’m stronger. I never would have been able to resist her before, but now she feels more indulgent, like,” he paused again trying to find the words. “Like a piece of chocolate that has your mouth-watering. Now, I can choose to not eat it.”
The giggle rolled from Shane’s lips before she could stop it. “Mouthwatering? She is that.”
“I’m saying too much.” He said, trying to put the right words together again. “Shane, it’s just that...”
She let him hang onto the thought for only a moment before she interrupted. “Ry…”
The humor was gone from his eyes, replaced with what she could interpret as a real desire to share his perspective with her. He turned it over in his mind. She could see it working.
“Ryan.” she cupped his face in her hands. Forcing eye contact. “Look at me.” She watched his focus come back to her. She wanted him to present what she had to say.
“Ryan.” She began again. “She is mouthwatering…” Shane dropped her eyes, unable to finish the sentence as his gaze penetrated her.
“To me too.” Shane watched as understanding dawned on him. “I watched you kiss her back. I can see the hold she had or maybe, has on you.” Now it was her turn to choose words carefully.
“I understand you have a history with her. I was curious. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want you to respond to another woman as you respond to me. I only want you to kiss me. The thing is, I think I’d like her to kiss me.” She pushed on, before he could interject. “After I saw you two kiss, I had this really naughty dream.”
“You did?” A slow smile crossed his face.
Shane nodded. “So naughty.”
She had his full attention now.
“What was it about?”
“About you and Tess, and what happened after the doors closed.”
“And what happened?” he asked, he hands massages her shoulders.
Shane took a deep breath. “She was toying with that hold she has on you; making you want her.” Shane paused. “And you did.” Shane corrected. “You did want her, in the dream. She had this way of increasing your desire by pursuing you, then denying you. I could see this inner struggle going on and honestly, it was really sexy.”
As he listened, he worked his hands into her curls, wetting her hair. “And then what?”
“She undressed you. She got on her knees and took you in her mouth. It was so slow and sensual. She was incredible.” Shane looked up at him and saw that his eyes were heavy with desire. She could feel higher arousal between her thighs. She shivered under the warm shower.
“What happened then?”
Shane smiled, remembering reality colliding with the dream. “I don’t know, just before she made you cum, I woke up in the middle of my own multiple,” she leaned in, repeating her words, “multiple orgasms, with my own fingers moving like crazy over my clit.” Shane shook her head, caught in the reverie. “I came so hard. “
He smiled. “You did?”
“I did.”
“There’s more.”
“Really?” His cock stood at attention now, as his hands pressed her against his body. He moved with a rhythm she recognized, building her need. She wondered if he even realized he was doing it. He was still catching up, wanting to hear more.
“I had another dream.”
“About Tess?”
Shane nodded.
He was curious now. “What happened?”
“It was last night after you told me about you and Tess after we made love and fell asleep. I started dreaming I was in the elevator with her. This time I was the object of her desire.” Shane swallowed. Her mouth watered at the memory.
“Ryan.” She stopped. “Ry. It was so hot.” she wanted to relay all the details, grateful to share with him. “She undressed me…”
“What else did she do?” His voice was thick. His hands had found their way to her ass, and begun to squeeze, pulling her into him. His cock hard against her belly.
“She blindfolded me.”
She heard his breath catch.
“She went down on me.” And then his mouth was on hers. The mouth sucked on her lower lip, his tongue tasting hers. His cock throbbed against her belly. Shane moved her mouth under his jaw, his morning stubble rough on her kissing lips. She bit his earlobe lightly as he lifted her in his arms. Her back was against the bathroom wall with Ryan’s hands hooked under her knees. He shifted her weight to find the right position.
Shane felt the pressure of his cock pressing into her, stretching her wide as his hands pulled her thighs apart.
“Oh god. Oh my-” she breathed in the wet warmth of his skin.
“Keep going,” he said in her ear. Her words were coming faster now. Shane needed to finish the story.
“She went down on me,”
His cock thrust into her and he began to move.
“She went down on me and made me cum.” He was moving faster, fucking her harder, deeper.
“Oh fuck. Fuck me. Ryan. Ryan. Ohhhh god.”
Ryan pressed her into the wall, trapping her between the cold tiles and his solid chest, his hands on her ass as he fucked her. His need was relentless.
The heat she’d been carrying since the first dream was a fire ready to ignite and as his cock stroked her, the orgasm that lay, barely sleeping, came to life. Pleasure welled up, over-flowing from her belly. It spread through her limbs. His breath was hot on her skin as she slid
from his arms and kissed him, turning away from him so he could take her from behind.
She pressed her chest into the wall, feet apart and her ass presented to him. For him. He took her narrow hips in his hands as his cock found her pussy. She felt him between her lips as the head of his dick slid against her swollen clit making her want him more.
He leaned forward and found her mouth. Kissing her, tongue exploring as he entered her fully. She felt him shudder as their bodies rocked in the steamy shower under the downpour of the still-hot water.
The orgasm flooded through her without warning, stealing her voice and her words. He fucked her until she didn’t know how many times she came, riding the aftermath until his cock let loose inside her, satisfying his own need. Surrounded with the heat of the shower and pounding water she could hear nothing but white noise and the sound of his voice saying her name.
After, Ryan slipped out to make arrangements for her outing with Tess and allowed her to recover alone. Shane squeezed shampoo into her hair and lathered her curls. The suds slid down her sensitive skin, muscles warm and spent. She shaved her skin smooth, ridding her body of excess hair under her arms, on her legs. At last, she carefully lathered and shaved her pleased pussy clean of all traces of the soft curls that his hand was so used to caressing. Once out of the shower, she encouraged her dark hair to curl and smoothened the hotel lotion into her legs and arms, leaving her skin soft and supple.
CHAPTER 2
Boutique
G etting ready to go shopping with Tess felt an awful lot like getting ready for a date with a boy she’d been crushing on. Except for this time, it was not a boy. This time her crush was on the golden goddess and they were going to do girl things. Lunch and shopping; So simple still, Shane could not stop smiling. She could not explain how she’d come from feeling completely intimidated by this woman to curious about her then, wanting her.
Wanting Tess. What did that even mean? Shane didn’t know and she didn’t care.
Ryan was as excited for her to go with Tess as Shane was, and he wasn’t even going. Shane finished her makeup and ran her fingers through her silky curls before she slipped out of the bathroom.
