  He let Joshua go, and the young man fell to his hands and knees. Breathing hard, confusion was his only companion. He had no clue how he had gotten beaten so badly, so close to his final breath. He touched the small cut on his neck and seeing blood on his fingers, his rage returned. He turned to look at X who was flanked by his brothers. His erstwhile opponent was completely relaxed, returning his blade to the sheath and not even breathing hard. It was unnatural. He wasn't even sweating.

  “What the fuck just happened?” Joshua croaked.

  The brothers laughed. “Welcome to Wing Chun!” they said in unison.

  Just then an explosion ripped through the quiet of the compound.

  Digger and his Pirates had begun their attack.
