“No, thank you,” Ava squeaked out. I saw a tear rolling down her cheek as the doctor left the room.
“So, tubal litigation. Correct me if I’m wrong but that means your shit is tied up, right?” I said stroking my chin. I didn’t wait for her response. “So you knew you couldn’t have kids but you just thought it would be fun to ruin my fucking life?” I nodded my head and looked at her one last time. “Find yourself another job, Ava. Oh, and find a ride home too.” I walked out of the exam room and got in my car.
I had to find Camilla.
I was on a high after finding out that Ava wasn't pregnant. It felt like popped one of Laurel’s pills or something. My heart was beating and my hands were sweaty like a teenager about to ask a girl on a date.
Camilla was where I expected her to be, under Emmanuel in the office that would be hers once she replaced Dana. She looked over her shoulder and rolled her eyes at me. When she turned back to face Emmanuel I grabbed her hand and yanked her from the room. “We need to talk.” I said before whisking her down hallways and to the parking lot.
“Xavier, let me go! I'm not just running off with you in the middle of the damn day. I have shit to do.” I ignored her yapping and escorted her to my car. I was taking her back to my house. Back where she belonged. “Emmanuel is gonna be pissed.” She remarked as we drove down familiar streets.
“Fuck him,” I blurted. I was tired of sharing Camilla and now there was nothing in my way, not even Emmanuel.
When we got inside of the house Camilla folded her arms and gave me a look that only she could. Her green eyes sparkled in the sunlight. “What the fuck are we doing here?” She snapped.
“All of this shit with Emmanuel stops now. Ava’s not pregnant. I found out today. That means you're mine.” I didn't speak anymore. I didn't have to. Her eyes searched mine for truth. I smiled before I pushed her against the wall and kissing her. I’d missed her so much and I wanted to do nothing but show her that over and over.
“Xavier don’t lie to me please.” She shut her eyes against my kisses and I shook my head.
“I’m not lying baby.” I pulled her clothes off and just looked at her. “You’re so beautiful. I love you so much.”
“I love you too,” She said. She looked shy for once, like she didn’t want me looking at her this raw. I laid her on the bed we’ve shared countless times before. Camilla reached for me and we crashed into another kiss this time it was slow and purposeful.
“I’m so sorry I broke your heart.” I whispered into her ear. She just nodded her head and locked herself around me.
“I want you to make love to me,” she said.
“That might be hard because I’ve missed fucking the shit out of you too.” We both laughed.
“Okay well love the fuck out of me then,” she compromised.
It was my turn to mark her as mine. I didn’t give a fuck how mad Emmanuel got. Camilla’s heart and body belonged to me. When I bit down on her neck she gasped out. I bit her shoulders and put her stiff nipples between my teeth. I wanted to make her understand how badly I needed her. I looked at her and she bit her bottom lip. I teased her with my tongue between her legs and then I slipped two fingers inside of her pussy. When I slipped one single finger inside of her ass she squealed out so loud I stifled a laugh.
“Xavier what…are you doing?” It started out as a question but melted into a moan as I moved my fingers in and out of her simultaneously.
“You want me to stop?” I asked knowingly.
“No…please don’t stop.” I watched her breasts rise and fall with the movements of my fingers and tongue.
I could see her stomach muscles clench when she got ready to cum. It happened so quick I almost didn’t know what the hell was going on. Camilla turned into a fucking fountain. She squirted and let out the sexiest moan I’d ever heard. Goosebumps covered her sweaty skin.
I had to be inside of her after that.
It was driving me crazy not to be especially after she flooded me with her sweet juices. Her pussy was so slippery, and she was still shaking from the forceful orgasm that I had to hold her down with my hand against her throat in order to push my cock inside of her. Once she felt me enter her she moaned my name and I buried myself even deeper. I pushed her legs back until her feet touched her ears and took over her pussy.
“Xavier…please…” She whined. “It feels too good.” She tried to wiggle away but I had her pinned and I wasn’t letting her go any fucking where. “Baby…oh my god!” She whimpered.
“Stop? You want me to slow down?” I asked, peering down at her beautiful face.
“Yes. I just…it’s too much,” she replied. I smiled at her and slowed to a tender pace that made her cry out. I didn’t stay there for long though. As much as I wanted to smooth things out and make love to her Boyz II Men style, I had to show her who was in charge. As soon as she got used to the slower pace I thrust deep and hard inside of her and she tore at my back with her nails. No words were screamed but she sure did let out a growl that would’ve put any lioness to shame.
I lost count of how many little orgasms she experienced on my dick but when I came inside of her, that shit was monumental.
I felt like I could see sounds.
I wanted to hold her and kiss her while she lay in my arms but she laid flat on her back, mouth open, hair messy and in her face and started snoring.
“Camilla.” I nudged her but she was out cold. I laughed out loud and gave her one more nudge just to make sure she wasn’t bullshitting.
She wasn’t.
Camilla went straight to sleep.
I thought I would catch all kinds of hell when I showed up to work the next day. I never went back yesterday and never took Camilla back either. We spent the rest of the day making love and spending time together that we’d missed out on with her being mad at me.
I saw Emmanuel talking to Trevor in the main church area and paused. “Hey, what’s up Xavier?” Trevor nodded in my direction.
“Everything cool?” I asked looking from him to Emmanuel.
“Oh yeah, everything is fine,” Emmanuel smiled and patted Trevor on the back.
“Just telling Trev how the rally is gonna be set up. You’re welcome to stand in and listen.”
He was happy.
Too damn happy.
For a man that just found out his daughter lost her virginity in a plot for revenge and had his most prized possession- Camilla- snatched out of here with no warning, he was too fucking cheery.
I watched him as he talked about the rally and how he and Camilla had set up an ad campaign for it. That must have been what they were going over yesterday when I walked in. On the main stage were boxes of posters, flyers and other promotional material for the rally. Emmanuel had turned it into a fucking event. “What do you think, Trev?” Emmanuel asked him thoughtfully. Trevor shrugged his shoulders and told him it sounded good.
He didn’t ask me shit.
I was actually happy that he didn’t though. I’d rather him be pissed at me then dead set on finishing me.
Once the impromptu meeting was done I called Trevor over to the back of the church. “What the fuck is going on?” I whispered.
“I told you, he’s snapped,” he replied. “I don’t know when the other shoe is going to drop but I expect to be fired.”
“Definitely,” I agreed.
It was more than that though. I’d seen Emmanuel pull power plays and rank but I’d never seen him like this. I was scared for my friend but there was little to nothing I could do. “Do you think he’s gonna put a hit out on you or some shit like that?” I asked him after pondering it for a while. Trevor shook his head and ran his fingers through his hair.
“I’m sure even if he wanted to, Camilla stopped him. Plus he’s not a murderer.” He said nonchalantly. I didn’t understand how he could just stand there knowing Emmanuel was plotting his destruction with a smile.
“Trev, we’re friends and you’re Camilla’s father. I don
t want to see anything happen to you. Why don’t you just lay low for a few weeks? Give him time to cool off.”
Trevor laughed and shook his head.
“No. This has been a long time coming between us. I’m good.” He slapped hands with me and walked off. Emmanuel looked in my direction and nodded, I returned the gesture. I tensed a bit when Camilla came walking in seemingly floating on a cloud. She floated right over to me, too. Her arm wrapped around me and she beamed from the inside out. I was honestly happy to see her smiling like that. I kissed her cheek and put my hand on her lower back possessively. Emmanuel watched the scene and then came over. “Cami, I need you to review the final edit of the radio spot for the rally. Your office should be all set up,” He told her.
“Thank you, Emmanuel,” she chirped. He went on about his business after that. I let out a breath and tried to ignore the sinking feeling that there was a war being waged that I wasn’t privy to. Somehow I’d won another battle but the war seemed to just be getting started.
Chapter Seventeen
Dana
Boxes lined the walls of the pool house all taped and neat in their little spaces. I was almost done packing everything up…or almost done watching the movers pack everything up.
Before Manny sent a lawyer for me, I’d planned to use the last bit of money he had going into my account to get a lovely home in Atlanta. I was scrambling to make my moves before the bastard pulled the rug from under me.
I lounged on the couch sipping a margarita in the middle of the day. Why not?
Christina startled me with a knock on the door making me almost drop my precious drink. I cradled it to my chest before taking a long sip. “What is it, Chris?” I frowned.
I’d assumed both children were done with me and had been dragged to the dark side by Manny. Well, Camilla had been fucked to the dark side but she was there nonetheless.
“Mommy…” She sniffled and threw herself in my arms. I was in such disbelief that I sat my drink down and hugged her. I pulled back to get a good look at her face to make sure she wasn’t physically hurt.
“What is it?” My question was filled with sympathy now.
“Everything is so awful.” She sobbed. “I just didn’t know who else to talk to. I know about you and Trevor too…” She sniffed and sat on the couch. I rubbed my neck with a bit of unease and sat next to her.
“Okay…what does that have to do with anything? We’re both grown and…”
“He took my virginity,” She blurted. I stopped speaking and took another drink. I felt fury stirring in my stomach.
“He. Did. What?” My speech wasn’t perfect after three drinks but I managed to utter the words without one instance of slurring.
“We were messing around but I found out it was only because he wanted to get back at Daddy for having sex with Camilla. Did you know too?” She looked at me and I nodded quietly. “Ugh! Of course you did. Everybody knew but me! I feel so stupid.” She wiped her eyes with the back of her hand and sniffled. “I hate her, Mommy,” she said.
“Oh, Christina. I hated her too.” She pulled away from my embrace to look at me as if I’d turned into someone else. “Hated? You don’t hate her anymore?” She squeaked in disbelief.
“No baby.” I shifted my position and turned the TV off so I could focus on what I had to say. It had been a long, lonely time in the pool house and I’d had time to think about things. I didn’t hate Camilla anymore. I couldn’t. I’d birthed her and given her every part of myself.
All the dark parts.
“I decided that it’s not a Godly thing to hate. Especially the very thing God saw fit to bless me with.” I twisted the remote around in my hand as I spoke. “I hated Camilla because I hated myself. I don’t know how to work through it but I know I will.” I looked over at my daughter who was in awe. “Now, I’m still pissed about Manny fucking her but I don’t hate her. You shouldn’t either.” I pointed at Chris and tapped her nose with my finger. “I created the crazy ass monster that’s running around screwing my husband and getting me kicked out of my own house.”
“Yeah, you kinda did,” She shrugged in admission. “That doesn’t mean I have to like her though. She…she fucked Laurel, mom! I mean who does that? She doesn’t care about anything!”
I drew my head back in utter surprise. I knew my daughter was devious but to fuck your best friend to get revenge on your little sister? That was twisted even for Camilla. Then again she fucked her stepfather to get back at me so maybe it’s right up her alley. “She did what? With Laurel?” I frowned and hugged my crying child.
“Yeah…I don’t wanna talk to Laurel anymore either. You’re the only person I can talk to even though everyone kinda hates you right now.”
“It’s fine. They can hate me. Mommy will have the last laugh,” I assured her.
“What do you mean?” She sat straight up and looked at me curiously. I held her hand in mine and smiled.
“What’s the one thing Manny cares about blindly…besides power?”
“Camilla,” she grumbled bitterly.
“Exactly. If I can reconcile with her it will burn him up. It’s clear that in order to get to Manny, you have to go through Camilla. He told me clear as day that he’s in love with the girl. I know him. Once he’s in love that’s it. He’ll yield to her, he’ll protect her, he’ll treat her like she’s precious and no matter what she’ll be his.” Christina’s face fell into a sad frown as she gazed at me.
“Is that how he felt about you?” She asked. I shook my head and touched her pretty hair.
“I’ve only seen him act that way over you. When you were born he thought you’d hung the moon. He’ll do anything for you and no matter what happened with you and Trevor he won’t be mad at you. I don’t know what Trevor is going to do with himself now but if he’s smart, he’ll disappear.”
“But if he feels that way about Cami now too then…”
“Then I will take away the things that mean the most to him. You and Camilla.” I grinned triumphantly and Christina nodded her head.
“But Mommy, Cami won’t go near you. She hates you.”
“I have my ways,” I told her softly. “All a girl ever wants is validation from her mother. It may take a while but it’ll happen.”
“You really think so?” She asked, wide-eyed.
“I know so. I just need time to work my magic.” I stood up and steadied myself before making another pitcher of margaritas.
“Mom, do you really think you need more to drink?” Christina frowned disapprovingly.
“I don’t think, Chris. I know. Drinking has been my only friend while I’ve been out here like a castaway while your sister has her way with my husband.”
“How could she do that? I mean…that’s like her dad.”
“Camilla never saw him as a father even though she didn’t know any better. Once she found out the truth, his dick was fair game.”
“Mom!” Christina hissed.
“What? Mommy is a little tipsy.” I swayed a bit to the left but kept my balance. “I can’t believe you let Trevor take your virginity, Christina. What in the world?”
“I mean he’s fine. Clearly, you feel the same way,” she quipped. I rolled my eyes and sat down with a full glass.
“I know he’s fine but you’re too young to think he’s fine,” I explained.
“Mom, any woman with eyes can see he’s fine.” I couldn’t deny that. I took a sip of my drink and crossed my legs.
“I have to meet with Camilla a few more times before she takes my job,” I said with a little more bite than I’d meant to. “I’m gonna try to talk to her then.”
“Don’t expect me to be best friends with her,” Chris warned.
“I don’t expect any miracles but I do expect you to go along with things. Remember, you and Camilla are the main things your father cares about. If I can get you two away from him then down he falls. He’ll start acting irrationally first then threatening me then he’ll come at me with everyth
ing he has.” The thought of it made the corners of my mouth turn up.
“And you’re inviting this?” Chris quizzed.
“Yes, because when you’re drunk on power and making stupid moves, you always slip up. He’ll slip up eventually and I’ll exploit the hell out of it.”
“So you want me and Camilla to move with you?” She asked unsurely.
“Eventually. Right now all it will take is for you and especially her to side with me though.”
“Camilla will never move and leave Xavier and Dad even if she forgives you.”
She had a point but I was hoping to coax her with enough time. Everything depended on how my groveling mommy act was received though. Even though I didn’t hate my daughter anymore, I still wanted to get her away from Manny. Instead of hating her angrily, I just looked at Camilla as a demon I gave birth to. Once I had her, God took whatever evil bipolar shit was inside of me and passed it on to her.
I actually pitied the poor thing.
Even still, I needed Camilla and I needed Chris too. It was evident now that Trevor failed in his half-hearted attempt to take down Manny, that meant there was an opening though. I would fill that opening and undo him before he got the chance to undo me.
Camilla’s office was cheery and yellow and it matched the linen dress she wore.
I wanted to gag. When I got there, Manny was sitting on the opposite side of her desk going over actual work for once instead of putting his dick in her mouth. I tried to compose myself so that I could come across as remorseful and sincere, but looking at the demon I birthed and the man that left me for her, was proving to be mighty difficult.
Camilla noticed me standing there first. She looked up and smiled, she looked like she was positively glowing. I raised an eyebrow at her and walked in. “You look…lovely,” I said curiously.
“Thanks, Dana,” she chirped. Either she was fucking someone new or she’d had a Grade A sex session with Manny or Xavier. I decided to go with the latter.
