It was hard to hide things like that from your twin sister – when she had posters on her wall of hunky guys that I wanted to hang on my wall it was pretty obvious...

“You have a twin sister?” he was looking at me with open curiosity all over his face. He reached across and put his hand on my knee, “Tell me more.” His smile was mesmerising.

“I’ll tell you everything just as soon as we’re parked. I want to look at you all of the time and I can’t do that when I’m trying to drive.”

Alfie chuckled and settled back in the seat, “Sorry,” he said, “I’ll totally behave. We don’t want an accident.”

Finally we were parked and out of the car. Alfie took my hand in his, looking at me with a slightly questioning glance – as if he was asking me if it was okay to hold my hand.

I’d never held hands with a guy before, but it felt so damned good – and so right. I grinned at him and nodded.

We walked along, chatting and laughing and before long we found ourselves outside ‘Guy’s Place’.

Alfie grinned excitedly and pushed the door open, “you’re totally gonna love it.” He gushed.

“Hey, guys.” The meeter-greeter was a very good-looking young man. He smiled at Alfie and raised his eyebrows, “Table for two?”

Alfie nodded enthusiastically. He was like a bouncy puppy and I was totally enchanted with him, “Yeah – can we have a window seat?”

The young man grinned and nodded, “Sure you can.” He said, “Have you been before?”

Alfie started to rave about the last time he was here with his mates from the club and the young man, who had introduced himself as Randy, got totally caught up in his excitement. I followed them to the table in a bit of a daze. Alfie was the most adorable guy I’d ever had the pleasure to meet – and I was beginning to get the feeling Randy felt exactly the same way...

We got seated and Randy finally got around to taking our order. He disappeared off and Alfie looked across the table at me.

I raised an eyebrow and grinned, “Looks like you have an admirer.” I said.

He blinked, “Uh?” he asked with a little frown.

I nodded to the back of Randy, “The waiter.” I said, “He was totally into you.”

Alfie looked genuinely surprised, “Really?” he asked, “I thought he was just being professional and pretending to find us charming.”

I chuckled, “You are so damned adorable.”

He grinned at me, “I like that you think so.” He said, “Mum always says that I’m adorable but that I have far too much energy and I exhaust everyone else around me within half an hour.”

I raised an eyebrow, “Well, let’s test that theory shall we?”

  He winked, “Absolutely.”

Alfie was right about the food at Guy’s – it was absolutely perfect but I stand by the fact that it was because I was with the most interesting person I’d ever met that made it so brilliant for me.

Randy finally got the message that he didn’t have a chance with Alfie when he came back to the table with his phone number only to find that Alfie had got fed up with sitting opposite me and had scooted around the bench seat to my side and was threading his fingers through mine, while wiping a little tomato ketchup from the side of my mouth. He didn’t even notice Randy and the poor guy ended up slinking away again, leaving just the bill. I almost felt sorry for him – but he was trying to bag a guy that was already taken so not that sorry for him.

“There,” Alfie beamed at me, “All gone and perfectly kissable again.”

I smiled, “So why don’t you kiss me?” I asked teasingly.

Alfie’s eyes darkened slightly, “Oh, God,” he breathed as he leaned into me, “I thought you’d never ask.” He pressed his lips against mine tenderly. He tasted of smoked bacon and tomato ketchup and strawberry milkshake – an extraordinary combination I’d agree – but right then it was the most perfect taste in the world. I could have sat there kissing him all day long – but there was a family sitting only a table away and their two children were utterly fascinated with the two guys on the next table kissing.

“I think perhaps we should go.” I said in a low voice, “Dad’s not looking too happy about having to explain that sometimes boys kiss boys.”

Alfie nodded, “Of course.” He said, “And I’m so not in the mood for a bashing today.”

We paid our bill and then headed back out into the town centre, “Have you been beaten up before, then?” I asked, “For being gay, I mean?”

Alfie bit his lip and shrugged, “I used to get picked on a bit at school. I wasn’t exactly what you could ever describe as closeted – everyone knew I was gay.”

I frowned, “That’s no reason to hit you.” I started indignantly.

He smiled, “No,” he said, “but I was always a right smart-mouthed little fucker too. I think I sometimes asked for it.”

My frown deepened, “If anyone ever hits you again, they’ll have me to deal with.” I growled.

His smile was almost as blinding as the sun, “I like that you want to look after me.” He said.

My heart stuttered. I really did want to look after him. I wanted to be with him all of the time. It was a little disconcerting that I felt this strongly for him when we’d only just met – but I couldn’t deny my feelings for him and I didn’t want to, either.

“What shall we do now?” Alfie asked softly but with a slight edge to his voice. He was looking up at me, his beautiful eyes full of desire.

I swallowed. Was I misreading the signs? Well, fuck it. If I was, I’d apologise for being a total doofus... “Would you like to come back to my place with me and then I’ll drive you to work later?”

The grin that stretched across his face was utterly delighted, “That sounds fantastic.” He said.

Phew. Maybe I wasn’t such a doofus, after all...

  Chapter 10 – Kissing...

  Harley

I pulled onto the drive, my heart was beating out of my chest with nerves and my palms were beginning to sweat.

I’d had boyfriends in the past. Well, I use the term ‘boyfriend’ loosely – I’d dated a couple of guys – nothing serious. I most certainly had never gotten past kissing and fondling before and I’d definitely never felt this way about anyone before either. It was completely new territory for me and I was excited – but scared of making a mess of things, too.

He sat looking at me curiously, “What are you thinking about?” he asked quietly.

I sighed and looked at him, “I was just overthinking everything as usual,” I said, chuckling self-deprecatingly “– it’s kind of what I do when I’m nervous.”

He smiled, “There’s no need to be nervous around me,” he said, “– I’m completely clueless when it comes to guys and saying and doing the right thing – I’m just about as far from cool as it’s possible to be.”

I chuckled, “That’s not true – you’re incredibly cool – you can pole dance for a start.”

He raised his eyebrows, “Yeah, I can do that,” he agreed, “But that’s because I’m incredibly anal about being the best at everything, so I practice and practice and practice...”

I smiled, “Come on, let’s go inside before I just talk you to sleep and never get to kiss you again.”

  Alfie

Oh, my God. He wanted to kiss me again – and I really wanted to kiss him again too. I could have kissed him all day after that first kiss in the café...

He stuck his key in the front door and pushed it open. “I live alone – apart from my cat, Charlie.”

I smiled, “We’ve got a cat too – his name is Reuben – Rubes for short – he’s just a moggy.”

He nodded, “Charlie’s a moggy too – I got him from the RSPCA.”

I beamed at him, “Oh, wow! We did too!” I was so pleased to hear that Harley supported the RSPCA too – it made me think we had even more of a connection somehow...

Harley grinned, “All the best ones are moggies
.”

  I nodded. “I couldn’t agree more.”

The front door opened onto the smallest hallway I’d ever seen in my life, with a really narrow, steep staircase up to the first floor. He opened the door that was to the right of us and I followed him through his small lounge to the kitchen diner that stretched the entire width at the back of the house. It was beautiful – all olde-worlde and quaint. I beamed at him, “Your house is absolutely beautiful.” I breathed, “I love it.”

He smiled shyly, “I love it too – the mortgage payments are actually less than the rent was.”

My jaw dropped, “You own it?” Fuck he was such an adult...

He chuckled, “Not yet – but I will in twenty-five years.”

  I nodded, “Wow, you’re such a grown-up.”

He shook his head, “I’m really not.” He said, “It just made the most sense – I’ve got a good job, that I’m hopefully not gonna be made redundant from any time soon – and the opportunity came up.” He shrugged looking a little embarrassed.

“Hey, I’d do the same if I actually held down a job that paid enough. I really need to move on from Studs and Steel but I just love it so much. I sometimes think I’d quite like to get onto the road-show – that’s a great earner...” But I wasn’t into shagging for money, which is what it sounded like to me.

He frowned, “The road-show?” he asked, “What’s that, then?”

I sighed. It was a prestigious group of dancers that got to dance in the top clubs and bars and got paid shedloads. I wasn’t into getting more money for ‘spending time’ with the men in the clubs, I just wanted to dance. A quick snog was okay – but not if Harley was going to be a more or less permanent guy in my life. I might have been old-fashioned but I was into monogamy. I didn’t want to cheat on him and I didn’t want him to cheat on me. “It’s a group of male dancers that dance in the top gay clubs all over the country – it’s really well paid but...” I shrugged, “It’s not all glamour.”

He wrinkled his nose, “Are we talking having sex for additional tips?”

I nodded, “Yeah – and I’m not into doing things like that – I love dancing. I love dancing provocatively but that’s still just dancing...”

He nodded, “I get it, you know.” He said, “You’re not into whoring yourself. I like that about you.”

I grinned, “Well good – because I really like you too.”

He sighed and then without giving me any warning whatsoever, he grabbed me and pushed me up against the worktop. He lowered his mouth to mine and kissed me passionately. It was all tongues and teeth bumping and tasting and licking and my God, it was the best kiss I’d ever experienced in my whole life. I never wanted it to end.

He pulled away eventually, breathing hard and never actually taking his forehead away from mine. He gazed into my eyes, “Wanna see my bedroom?” he murmured.

I nodded, “Fuck, yeah.” I said.

He grabbed my hand and pulled me back through the lounge and we stumbled up the stairs, both of us trying to get to his bedroom in as fast a time as possible.

“I don’t have anything.” I blurted out. I had no idea if he was thinking of having sex – or even if I was actually prepared to go that far on a first date – but I was really horny for him and I didn’t want him thinking that I wouldn’t want to... Shit, I was fucked up...

He stopped at the top of the stairs and looked at me in surprise, “Got any what?” he asked, “Are you talking about condoms and shit?” He looked absolutely gobsmacked that I’d mentioned them at all.

I nodded, feeling my face heating up. Oh, God. I groaned inwardly. He hadn’t even thought that far ahead. I really was fucking it all up.

He bit his lip, “I have – but we don’t have to...” he trailed off going as red as me, “I mean... we can...”

I took a deep breath. It was time to man up and admit that I’d never done this before, “I’m a virgin, Harley,” I said, feeling excruciatingly embarrassed. He’d dump me for sure now and we’d never actually even gotten official, “I’ve never gotten past a few kisses.”

But I couldn’t have been more wrong. His whole face changed. Relief was written all over it, “Oh, thank God. Me too.” He said, rolling his eyes, “And I know that’s kind of pathetic for a guy of twenty-two – but I’ve never been that into anyone before.”

I smiled. I was kind of hoping he was that into me... “I’m sorry to sound really corny – but I can’t tell you what a relief it is to hear you say that. The idea of having sex with someone that’s had a million other guys has always kind of grossed me out.”

He nodded, “Yeah,” he agreed, “Me too.” He smiled and pulled me into his arms, “I’m kind of looking forward to discovering it all with one special person.”

I smiled, my heart soaring. He was so in tune with me. “Sounds good.” I agreed.

He smiled back at me, “So, shall we uh, see where a few kisses takes us?”

I nodded, relief flooding me that he didn’t expect anything more from me. Working in the sort of establishment I did, the expectation for me to know stuff was high. It was part of the reason I flirted and nothing more, now that I came to think about it. I really wasn’t into dirty sex. Well. I could maybe make an exception for one special guy... “Oh, sure – absolutely. Kissing’s good for me.” I smiled at him.

He gazed back at me as if I was the most beautiful thing on the planet. He leaned into me and I leaned in to meet his lips with mine. Oh my God. He was utter perfection...

  Harley

I’d kissed guys before. Sure I had and I’d had a couple of what you might refer to as relationships too – but nothing came close to way I felt when I was with Alfie and how he made my skin tingle when he touched me. It was like magic.

When he slid his tongue into my mouth and started to absolutely devour me, my legs started to tremble. Sucking my tongue into his mouth, he slid his hands slowly and sensuously down my body, all the time paying the same amount of attention to my mouth as he’d started with, until his hands reached my hips and then he pulled me against him, flush with his hard, athletic body. I could feel his dick pressing against mine and I wanted nothing more than for us to magically lose all of our clothes so I could feel his skin against mine, to feel our bodies entwined with nothing between us. “Ungh, stop,” I groaned, “I’m so out of practice with all this – you’ll totally have me coming in my boxers and that would seriously damage my reputation as your super-hero.”

He chuckled, “You could always go commando – I really wouldn’t object.”

I chuckled, “Just keep kissing me,” I said, “I’m sure you’ll have me commando before much longer.”

He pulled me in for another toe curling kiss, delving his tongue back inside my mouth and teasing mine. He tasted so good, making me wonder what the rest of that tight little body would taste like. My dick totally sprang to attention as I imagined what he’d taste like. I would imagine after he’d been dancing at the club all night he’d be a little salty with all that fresh sweat going on. The idea of getting him into my mouth straight from his podium was making me harder with each passing second.

I wasn’t sure if he’d had time to get showered and changed this morning if he’d been awake half the night with his brother lamenting his new found gay status – but I knew I hadn’t had time to freshen up this morning and now that the idea of getting him in my mouth – and if I was really lucky, having him taking me in his mouth – I really didn’t want him thinking I tasted anything other than freshly showered... “I was uh, gonna take a shower before I went to bed... Would you uh, that is to say... do you fancy taking a shower?” I murmured, “With me, I mean – I have a really great shower.” Shit I was totally talking too much. He’d be texting his mum and running for the door any second now, “It’s right through that door,” I added lamely, nodding to my en-suite, which was totally my pride and joy. “It’s massive....”

“Oh, wow,” He beamed at me, flooding my body with utter relief tha
t I wasn’t being a total dork with my suggestion, “That sounds amazing.” He was looking at me with his beautiful bright blue eyes, “I’ve never showered with another guy before...” he added shyly.

I grinned, “Me either.” I said, “But I really want to with you. And then, once we’re all dried off and back in my bed, I’m gonna kiss you all over...”

He nodded. “Me too – you. I mean – I’m gonna kiss you all over.” He was blushing bright red. So damned adorable.

I scrambled to my feet, “I’ll go and get it started.” I said breathlessly. I was quite sure that I was the least cool guy that Alfie had ever met but I really couldn’t think of anything I wanted to do more. “Come on through when you’re ready.”

  Chapter 11 – Shower…

  Alfie

Well that was an invitation I really couldn’t refuse. The coolest guy I’d ever met wanted to take a shower with me – and then kiss me all over? Fuck yeah! Bring it on! It didn’t take me more than a couple of seconds to strip off my clothes and belt after him to his bathroom. I shut the door behind me and then turned to find that he was already behind the shower screen – which was fucking enormous. He poked his head around the screen and grinned at me, “Come on in – the water’s fine,” he joked.

I darted across the room and stepped into the shower with him. I might have been sporting the biggest boner ever but it didn’t even occur to me to feel embarrassed to be stood with him, completely naked. Harley had the most amazing body. He was slightly taller than I was, and definitely packing more muscle. He wasn’t what you’d really call hunky but that wasn’t a criticism. He was fucking gorgeous. He had tattoos – something I hadn’t actually noticed on him before but that was because I’d never seen him without clothes before – they were really beautiful. I took a step closer to him and ran my hand across his tattoos, which were all the way across his chest and down his left arm. He had a big pink-red rose on his shoulder and then other pictures and patterns all down is arm in a sleeve. They were so beautiful – all bright colours. It had never occurred to me before that tattoos could be so bright and pretty. I’d always kind of assumed that the colours faded out.
