I lift my machine quickly, so I don’t mess up the outline. “Dude! You gotta be still!”
“Sorry,” he says. “but you don’t have to worry about sexual satisfaction, babe. I’m thinking about all the position possibilities right now.”
“Good thing you’re laying down or your dick would be knocking over ink bottles across the room.”
The responses come from all over the shop.
“Oh my god, EmVee!”
“What the fuck?”
“Get a room!”
I can’t help but laugh. My heart is full being surrounded by my favorite people and the
love of my life. “Welcome to the world with me as your girl, Zayne.”
“Ride or die, Em. I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Sophia Henry is a proud Detroit native who fell in love with reading, writing, and hockey, all before she became a teenager. She did not, however, fall in love with snow. So after graduating with an English degree from Central Michigan University, she moved to the warmth of
North Carolina for the remainder of her winters.
