“Oh, you bastard. You’re going to pay for that.” Danny dragged Kier up and claimed his mouth. Kier chuckled as he dove into the kiss. Danny cupped Kier’s ass with both hands and pulled Kier tight against him as he ground their cocks together, needing the delicious skin-on-skin friction. He reveled in the sexy rumbles that rolled out of Kier, the hot breath and warm wet mouth against his overheated flesh.

Danny’s hands never stopped moving, touching, finding all the places that made Kier moan and gasp. God, those sounds. Everything about this man drove Danny out of his mind. He licked the sheen of salty sweat from Kier’s neck and sucked at the pulse point, wanting to mark him, claim him as his own just as Kier would claim him.

Kier growled, then eased away from Danny. He rolled toward the nightstand, tugged open the drawer, and retrieved a bottle of lube.

“Now, where was I? Oh yeah.” He licked Danny’s hard nipple again. He swirled his tongue around then over the firm point. Danny hissed and gasped. Chest heaving, Danny reached up to squeeze the other neglected nipple, but Kier batted his hand away and replaced Danny’s fingers with his. He squeezed and fire flashed through Danny. He cried out, arching up. He couldn’t think, only feel as his entire body throbbed with the exquisite pleasure.

Kier hummed and a sexy little grin spread over his face. “So sensitive. I love how you respond to me.”

Danny shivered as Kier’s hot breath wafted over his damp skin. Those wicked fingers skimmed down Danny’s body, dancing and dipping over and into his belly button. Kier chuckled as the muscles of Danny’s stomach quivered and clenched under his teasing fingers and tongue. Kier’s eyes met Danny’s, then dilated so wide only a thin ring of icy blue showed around the dark pupil. His lips parted and his tongue darted out to lick his lips.

“My God, you’re beautiful.” Danny carded his fingers through Kier’s hair.

“So are you, my love. So are you.” He leaned in and pressed openmouthed kisses over the length of Danny’s cock. Danny couldn’t hold back the sounds that Kier forced from him with his skilled touch. Kier played his body like a master. Again Danny cried out when Kier took him into his mouth. He swallowed him deep, all but making his eyes cross.

  “Fuck, Kier. Fuck.”

He released him long enough to reply, “We’re getting there.”

Danny glanced at Kier’s eyes and noted the red glow shining in their depths. “You are so fucking beautiful.”

Kier sucked him back into his mouth, and with every suck, every lick, he worked to coax out every ounce of pleasure. Danny’s heart hammered, his breathing rapid, making him light-headed.

“I need more.” Danny fisted his hand in Kier’s hair and pumped his hips. Kier moaned, and the vibration against his cock made Danny’s brain short-circuit. Wave after wave of electricity coursed through his body, building, building until Kier gripped his hips and with a final lick of the head of his cock, pulled off.

“Oh, you fucking suck!” Danny slammed his hand against the mattress.

“I do and quite well, but we’re nowhere near done yet.”

Kier shoved at his knees. Danny let them fall to his sides. Kier crawled between them and leaned down to place a kiss in the center of Danny’s chest. Then he snatched up the bottle of lube, poured some on his fingers. Their gazes stayed locked as Kier eased a slick finger into Danny. Kier started a slow gentle rhythm, pumping in and out as he stroked his other hand over Danny’s stomach, his inner thigh. He caressed his sac and the taut skin behind it. Then he paused, and Danny threw back his head, mouth open, breath rasping out. He added a second finger, sending laser bursts of heat firing through him. Kier’s skilled fingers caused a delicious stretch and burn. The man stroked him inside and out. Nothing could compete with the amazing sensation of being loved by Kieran McCade. When he added a third finger Danny lost his mind, especially when he curved his fingers and stroked that place inside that made fireworks explode behind his eyes.

Kier eased his hand out, poured a little more lube, and spread it over his cock. Then he lay over Danny. “Ready for me, love?”

Danny kissed him and hitched a leg over Kier’s hip. Kier lined himself up with Danny’s entrance and eased in.

Danny’s eyes went wide as sparks shot through him.

“Talk to me. Tell me what you’re feeling.”

“More. I need more.” Danny clasped at Kier’s shoulders as he continued to push into Danny’s body, slow and easy until he couldn’t go any farther. They lay connected, tasting each other, hands moving and caressing nonstop. Need built in Danny until he couldn’t take it anymore. “Move. I need you to move. Please.” He met Kier’s eyes and wrapped arms and legs around him.

Kier nodded and started a slow, sensual pace. Their eyes stayed locked. Kier’s mouth hovered over his, his warm breath tickling Danny’s lips with each inward thrust. “You feel amazing. I could spend eternity lying here with you. Inside you.” Danny lifted his lips and met Kier’s in a kiss so achingly tender it made his throat tighten and tears burn behind his eyes. How he ever thought his life would be better without this man in it, he’d never know.

Kier shifted, hooked an elbow under Danny’s knee. He slid in deeper and brushed Danny’s prostate with every stroke. Danny cried out as lightning bolts zapped through him, drove him high and higher. Danny fisted his hand in the sheets, needing something, anything to ground him. To keep him from flying out of his body.

  “Kier.”

“I’m right here, love.” He growled the words in Danny’s ear.

“Kier!” Danny could only manage that one word as Kier continued to drive into him.

Something warm and wet brushed over his mouth. “Drink, love.” Kier pressed his bloodied wrist to Danny’s mouth. He latched on to Kier licking and sucking, taking another part of his lover into his body.

When he’d taken enough, Kier pulled away, then took Danny in hand. He thrust and stroked in counterpoint, driving Danny to the brink of pleasure and madness. A ball of energy formed at Danny’s core, growing and pulsing, sending blasts of energy through him, making every inch of skin tingle and hum. Before this new sensation could completely consume him, Kier’s low, commanding voice snagged his attention and shot him right back up to the edge.

  “Danny, you with me?”

Danny nodded as Kier thrust once, twice. “I want you come for me, Danny. Are you ready?” He slammed into Danny again, stoking the fire building deep inside. “I want you to come for me, Danny.” He thrust hard one more time, then roared. “Now.” He bit hard where Danny’s shoulder met his neck, drinking deeply. Danny screamed. Sensation rioted through him as he fell into an orgasmic meltdown. His body bucked and shuddered. Kier pumped his own molten release into Danny as he drank.

Danny began to float; his brain couldn’t form a coherent thought if he needed to, and his limbs turned to lead. Drained but euphoric, he fell into darkness and let Kier’s blood finish in pleasure what had been started in fear.

THE INCESSANT ringing of his cell phone dragged Kier awake. His internal clock told him the sun hadn’t set yet, and the display on his alarm clock confirmed it. He smiled down at Danny, still asleep in his arms. He wanted to close his eyes and slip back into sleep, warm and comfortable, wrapped up with his lover. Not twenty seconds after his phone stopped, it started ringing again.

Kier rolled his eyes at the persistent caller, eased himself out of bed, and padded barefoot into the office where he’d left his phone two days ago. Snatching up his phone, he answered the call.

“Morning, Sharon.” He dropped into the desk chair.

“It’s about damn time you answered the phone.”

“I was a little busy sleeping. I’ve had an eventful few days.” He scrubbed a hand down his face.

“Yeah, I’ll bet.” He could hear the smirk in her tone.

“Yeah, yeah, you’re not funny. So, what’s so important?”

“Wanted to let you know that I’ve gotten word that Melissa Moran has gone missing.”

/>   Kier sat up straight. “Where’d you hear that? How is that even possible? Chunks of that building landed on all of us.”

“I’ve got a friend at the local hospital and another with the Sinclair Fire Company. They’ve combed through the rubble, and they believe pulled out everyone they can find. Twenty-five people are accounted for. From what you told me, Melissa would have made twenty-six on Purity’s side. They’ve thoroughly searched the area and there is no sign of her, living or dead.”

“Well, shit.” Kier paused and dragged a hand through his hair. “Have you told Aiden or Rogan yet?”

“I told Aiden first, as soon as I got word.”

  “How’d he take it?”

“I suspect he’s more disturbed by the news than he’s letting on. He said something about wanting to take a real vacation this time and get out of town for a while. I offered him my vacation home in the mountains. I think he’s going to take me up on it. Poor boy needs a break. He needs to rest and feed and heal.”

  “How about Rogan?”

“Poor guy is a little worse for wear, but he’ll be all right. He’s not a happy camper. He tried to drag his broken behind out of his hospital bed so he could go get his brother.”

“Tell him to stay put. I’m going to send someone to pick up his brother and take him to see Rogan.”

“I’ll find them someplace safe to stay while he’s getting back on his feet. Likely, I’ll put them up in one of my properties. This way I can keep an eye on them. It’s the least I can do. I owe Rogan big.”

“I’ll let him know you said that. It should settle him down. Stubborn man. A head injury and broken bones and he wants to go gallivanting off to play hero.” She snorted in disgust. Kier just smiled.

“How’s Danny holding up?” Kier could hear the sly smile in Sharon’s voice.

“He’s doing better than I expected.”

  “No complications with the turning?”

“Not so far. He’s come through beautifully. I still can’t believe it. I never thought this day would come. Hell, I never expected to see him again. Now, he’s mine. It’s a little surreal.”

A long silence stretched between them. “Well, it’s about damn time. It was only a matter of time before you both pulled your heads out of your asses and fixed what was broken between you two.”

Kier laughed. “I don’t know what to say to that. Thank you for everything, Sharon. We wouldn’t have survived this without your help.”

“Yeah, yeah. Go kiss your man and get started on that life you’ve been waiting so long to begin. I’ll call you later.” She hung up before he could say goodbye.

“I think I’ll go do that.” He smiled. Warmth spread through him at the thought of kissing Danny awake. He thought about all they’d been through to get to this point. Pain or pleasure, he wouldn’t change it.

Kier stood and headed back to the bedroom. Danny still lay in bed, a rumpled sexy mess. He lay on his back, lips parted, sheet tangled around his waist, exposing smooth chest and flat stomach. Need flared to life in Kier. He wanted to kiss every inch of Danny’s soft skin. As heat wound its way through him, he couldn’t think of a single reason to resist temptation.

He crossed to the bed, sat, then leaned over to lick and bite a hardened nipple.

Danny woke with a moan and arched into Kier’s mouth as his slid his fingers into Kier’s hair.

He kissed his way up Danny’s chest and neck, then claimed his mouth.

“Hey.” Danny pulled Kier close and wrapped his arms around him.

Kier smiled at him. “Hey yourself. How are you feeling?”

“Like hell and never better all at once. How long have I been out?”

“You’ve been in and out for about two days, and it’s not surprising you’d feel a little ragged. The body goes through a lot when you turn. When you add in everything that’s happened lately, you’ve been through more than most.”

Kier leaned down and brushed soft, drugging kisses over Danny’s lips. Danny cupped the back of his head and took the kiss deeper, mating their mouths until they were both breathing hard.

Kier couldn’t stop the smile if he tried. “What was that for?”

“Lots of reasons. Because I’m glad we’re both alive, because I’m glad I have you here in my arms… because I love you.”

“I love you too. I love that I’ll have you with me for eternity.” Kier stared into Danny’s warm chocolate eyes. Happiness radiated from him, but Kier couldn’t help asking just one more time. “Still no regrets, right? I mean, there’s no going back now, but I just want to make sure I’m not going to spend the next few centuries with a moody, self-loathing vampire.”

With a laugh, Danny threw his arms around Kier and held him close. He eased away, but his hands continued stroking Kier’s back in soothing circles.

“I made my choice. I chose you and will continue to choose you, for as long as you’ll have me. The rest will sort itself out.”

A lump formed in Kier’s throat. Dammit. He dug for some of his famous stoicism and failed miserably. He wrapped himself around Danny and rocked them both. “I’m being silly, I know, but I never thought we’d get here. Never thought we’d find our way back to each other again. No matter how much I wanted it, if you weren’t willing to give me a second chance….”

Danny cupped Kier’s cheek. “I was the one who needed forgiving.”

Kier shook his head, mirroring the gesture. “Let’s just agree that we both screwed up and put it in the past.” The hand that Danny laid over Kier’s had a fine tremor, and a hint of red glowed deep in his eyes. Someone was hungry. “I think it’s time I gave you your first lesson as a full-fledged vampire. It’s breakfast time.”

Danny turned his head, pressing his lips to Kier’s palm. He ran his tongue up Kier’s hand until he reached the tip of his middle finger, then sucked it into his mouth. That wicked suction sent heat racing through Kier.

Danny gave him a heavy-lidded look as the red glow grew brighter. Damn, that’s sexy. He slid his finger out of Danny’s mouth as he adjusted himself, then offered him his wrist. He quirked his eyebrow in challenge.

“I’m not sure how to….” Danny stared at it for a moment, then back up at Kier before lowering his mouth.

“Trust your instincts. You know how to do this.”

Danny held his gaze for a minute, then glanced down at Kier’s wrist. He pulled the offered wrist to his mouth and licked along the path of the radial artery. Then he set his teeth to the skin and eased them into the vessel. Kier moaned. The caress of Danny’s lips on his skin and the suction of his mouth reverberated in every part of his body, sending desire pulsing through him to the place that craved Danny’s touch. After a minute Danny retracted his fangs and licked Kier’s wrist to seal the punctures.

“Knew you’d make an amazing vampire.”

Danny smiled and pressed his body to Kier’s. He cupped his ass, grinding against him, forcing a hard gust of air from Kier’s lungs.

“Now that I’ve eaten, how about I bring you breakfast in bed.”

“Sounds like an excellent idea.” Kier stole a kiss, then started to lead Danny back to the bedroom. Danny crowded him from behind and wrapped his arms around Kier’s waist.

“One thing, though. From here on out it’s you and me, right? I know that we need to feed, and it can’t always be just you and me. So, when we need to include another person, promise me we will always do that together.”

Kier rolled them over the bed, pinning Danny beneath him. He stared into Danny’s eyes, wanting him to see and hear the vow in his words. “Always you and me together. I promise.”

The wattage on Danny’s smile increased. A lottery winner couldn’t be any happier than Kier right at this moment.

“You know, hundreds of years is a long time to spend with one person, but you’re stuck with me now.”

Kier lowered himself so they lay chest to chest. He kissed him, soft and slow. “Danny Reynolds, I wouldn’t want it any o
ther way.”

The joy in the smile that spread across Danny’s face echoed inside Kier. Kier joined their mouths, losing himself in the man who held his heart and the knowledge that they would be joined for eternity mind, body, and soul.
