Masked Feelings Page 10

“I'm still here,” Damian muttered before closing the door, without even waiting for their response.

He turned to stare at me, amusement still present in his eyes.

“Your sister is annoying,” he said and I quickly motioned him to shut up because maybe my sister was still there.

“Shut up,” I hissed when he was about to open his mouth to talk again. He glared at me and walked towards me with determined steps. I backed away on the bed as my eyes widened. Damian looked so threatening and intimidating right now. It was so freaking sexy.

What the hell is wrong with me?

“Don't fucking tell me what to do.” He growled each word as he got on the bed and grabbed both of my hands in his and pinned them above my head. He straddled my hips, then leaned his forehead against mine.

“Are you on hulk mode?” I asked teasingly and watched as a smile slowly crept on his face.

He buried his face in the crook of my neck and took a deep breath. Before this could go any further, I wriggled in his grasp and tried to get out.

“Would you like to see me in hulk mode, kitten?” he asked seductively and I nearly purred at how sexy he sounded right now.

I was going to nod but then I realized that I had to take care of my baby brother.

“I'd like to see that.” I admitted and he started to grin. “But not now.” I finished, causing his grin to disappear real damn quick. “I need to go and see Thomas.” I explained and reluctantly, he freed my hands, then let his body fall next to mine.

“Last night was amazing,” he said, his voice breathy, with closed eyes and a sexy smirk on his face. “Best fucking dinner ever,” he whispered, making me go bright red.

“Damian,” I groaned as I stood up and made my way to the door. I turned to look at him and saw him staring right back at me with a smile on his face. “What are you smiling at?” I asked.

“At the fact that you blush everything single time I talk dirty to you,” he said with a grin. I rolled my eyes and opened the door, deciding not to comment on that.

“See you later,” I called as I tiptoed along the corridor quietly, not wanting to get caught by my sister. Or worst, my parents.

“Fuck you later.” I heard Damian call back. I rolled my eyes, again and quickly ran to my room as if my clothes were on fire. Wait. No. If my clothes were on fire, I'd be rolling on the ground. That's what you're supposed to do, right?

Later that day, I sat next to Thomas and watched as he played on his Nintendo while trying to converse with Jace. Dean, Alena, and Rose were out to buy some food stuffs. They told us that they would be coming in a few seconds. But it's been a few minutes already. Shrek and Fiona were probably working and Damian was nowhere to be seen. Yes. I haven't seen him since this morning. I smiled when Thomas playfully flicked Jace's forehead. They were getting along pretty well.

“Help!” Rose groaned walking into the living room with huge bags of food. Chips, chocolates, snacks, and biscuits were in the bags.

“Why all this?” I asked with raised eyebrows.

“For Thomas,” Alena answered, making me scoff.

“And us,” Dean continued. We walked to the kitchen with all the bags, leaving Rose, Tommy, and Jace in the living room. I wonder how Rose's and Jace's relationship was going. I'll ask her later.

“I can't believe Damian is with that slut again,” Alena huffed as she put some bags on the kitchen counter. Damian? Slut? What the hell is she talking about? That certainly spiked my interest.

“What?” I asked, taking out the packets of biscuits, trying to do so as if I wasn't interested.

“Damian is back with his ex. And that slut cheated on him,” Alena huffed, shaking her head. “I can't understand that man.” My eyes widened. If Damian was back with his ex, then that means our deal was over. Why am I feeling hurt? Damn. We fucking said no feelings.

“We already talked about this. He's back with her for publicity purposes,” Dean said and I knew that the explanation was directed towards me. I shrugged staring at him, showing him that I didn't give a fuck about the situation. Dean must know about our deal.

“And why is this annoying you?” I asked Alena. I tried to ignore how my heart was feeling right now. I don't even know how I was feeling. But why was it hurting like hell?

“Because that slut broke his heart once,” she said with raised eyebrows. I shrugged.

“It's his life, not yours,” I told her. “He gets to decide about his choices,” I said and Dean nodded. Alena rolled her eyes at my words but nevertheless, nodded.

“I hate it when you're right,” she mumbled.

“I'm always right, sweetheart,” I answered with a smirk, making her chuckle.

“I'm going to play with Thomas,” she said. “You guys, put all this in the cupboards.” She ordered as she walked out of the kitchen.

“Yes mam!” Dean called as he chuckled. When Alena was out of sight, Dean turned to me. “He had to meet her again because of our parents,” he explained. I sighed and shrugged.

“I sincerely don't give a fuck, Dean,” I lied. “As I said, it's his life. He does whatever he wants,” I told him, putting the snacks in the cupboard. “Besides, we're just fuck buddies,” I said, making him chuckle.

“Still straight forward,” he concluded. I smirked and motioned him to help me. He complied, without talking about Damian again. “You're still working at the Sweet Delice?”

“Rose and I took two weeks off,” I told him.

“You don't want Alena to know about this, right?” he then asked. I stared at him as if he lost his mind.

“Of course not!” I exclaimed in disbelief because of his stupid question. “Do you want Alena to know that you went to a freaking strip club?” I asked.

“Of course not!” he exclaimed then, making both of us laugh. “But I went there because of Damian,” he said.

I nodded, not knowing what to say.

“And I did the right thing by taking him there.”

“You know what's going on between us, right?” I asked.

“Yeah. He told me. I also know that you were in his room last night and this morning,” he added with a teasing grin. I rolled my eyes.

“I think I'm going to end the deal,” I told him truthfully.

“Why?” he asked with a frown.

“Because I don't want to be involved with Damian if he's in a relationship,” I told him.

“Fake relationship,” he clarified and I glared at him.

“Listen, when I left home, media harassed me. They posted rumors saying that I was pregnant or I got kicked out of the house. My parents were never targeted,” I explained. “Now just imagine if someone saw Damian and I together. Just imagine the new rumors that's going to make the front page. I'm going to be the target again and I don't want that.” I sighed, staring at him.

“But what if no one knows about all this?” asked

“I'm not willing to take the risk,” I told him. “If he's back with his ex, I'm pretty sure that he'll be with her the entire wedding,” I said. “I'm going to avoid him from now on. At least since the wedding is over,” I said, nodding to myself.

“If you think that's the right thing to do,” he said with a reassuring smile. I turned my back to him and took a deep breath, continuing the task that Alena gave us.

“Are you seriously going to end the deal because of this publicity shit?” I heard this deep, cold, and angry voice asked from behind. My eyes closed as my body reacted to his voice only. I took a deep breath and turned to face him. I noticed that Dean was nowhere to be seen.

That fucker left me alone with this angry Damian.

I stared at him for a few seconds, then my eyes trailed down his neck, where there was a trace of pink lipstick. I rolled my eyes and tried to ignored the burning sensation creeping over my heart.

  It was only sex, Athena.

“Yes,” I answered calmly then resumed with putting the biscuits in the cupboard. How many freaking biscuits and s
nacks did Alena buy?

“Look at me when I'm talking to you,” he said breathily. He sounded as if he was controlling himself. Damn. He sounded so hot. I scoffed, then turned to look at him. Just as I was about to tell him that he could just go and fuck himself, Alena walked in the kitchen and stopped when she saw Damian and me.

“What are you guys doing?” she asked suspiciously as she approached the cupboard and took out a packet of biscuit.

“Getting to know each other,” I told her, glaring at Damian. Then, I turned to glare at her when I saw that she made a mess in the cupboard. “And for your information, I've just put those in the cupboard and you freaking made a mess!” I exclaimed. She gave me a smirk and shrugged.

“That will teach you to tell me when you're going out for a run in the morning,” she said. Yeah. I kinda lied to her about this morning. Damian simply stood there, his eyes on me.

“I always go for a run in the morning,” I lied. She rolled her eyes at me.

  “I was worried,” she said.

“You're always worried for nothing,” I scoffed. She shoved me playfully and turned her attention to Damian.

“Well, what I'm really worried about right now is that Damian's whore is going to come today. And she will be staying with us for a week,” Alena snapped, glaring at Damian. Oh. She's going to stay. I glared at Damian and finally resigned to stop arguing with him. Let's end the deal. It will be so fucking easy than to argue.

“You know that I don't have a fucking choice,” Damian spat.

“Everyone has a choice, dumbass,” Alena retorted before walking out of the kitchen. I stared at Damian and shrugged.

“End of the deal,” I simply said, making his eyes send daggers in my direction.

“It's for fucking publicity!” he exclaimed.

“I don't give a flying fuck,” I replied, totally emotionless. “In the deal, it was clear that we shouldn't be having a relationship at the same time,” I told him.

“It's a fake relationship,” he snapped.

  “Still a relationship.”

“Why are you complicating everything?” He growled as he walked towards me.

“You are complicating things. Your girlfriend is going to be here soon. I don't want any problem. I already explained that to Dean,” I whispered as he stood in front of me. I felt so intimidated when he stood in front of me like this, towering over me.

“And I fucking heard all of it,” he said. “But I don't want this to end.” Before I could respond, he crashed his lips against mine, making me moan. I shouldn't be doing this. But hell, his lips feel so fucking good. Just as he licked my lips for entrance, I snapped out of it. I pecked his lips one last time and pulled away.

“I'm not willing to take the risk. The deal's over,” I mumbled before walking out of the kitchen, leaving him there. As I walked into the living room, I saw Thomas and Jace sitting on the couch, both eating chocolate biscuits. I took a deep breath, trying to recover from the conversation that I just had with Damian.

As soon as I exhaled, Thomas turned to look at me with a biscuit between his teeth. I chuckled and walked to him. He took out the biscuit and gave me a cheeky smile. I wiped his face with my hand, then smiled back. He looked so cute. Jace chuckled before stealing Thomas' half eaten biscuit and ate it while staring at my little brother in amusement. Thomas simply rolled his eyes and pointed to the packet of biscuits.

“There was a packet just next to you,” he said as he took the packet and shoved it on Jace's lap. “Stealing is not good.” He scolded.

I chuckled, then nodded. Thomas turned to look at me and by the look that he was giving me, I knew that he was going to ask me something. I crossed my arms over my chest and stared at him.

“I want to go to the park,” he said suddenly, as he stared at me with his puppy eyes.

I huffed. He always does the puppy eyes. I turned to Jace and stared at him, asking for approval. He nodded.

“Yeah, you can take him to the park. It will do a little good to him,” Jace said with a smile as he stood up and stretched his arms.

I nodded, taking Thomas' hand in mine.

“Alena! I'm taking Thomas to the park!” I shouted, not really knowing where my sister was.

“I want to come too!” I heard her shout from the second floor.

“Then get ready! We're leaving in ten minutes.”

With that, I took Thomas to my room and changed his clothes into warmer ones. He was looking at me with his big smile which was so freaking contagious. Whenever I was with my little brother, I would forget all my problems so easily. I kissed his cheek and took my keys. As we walked back downstairs, I saw Alena, Dean and Damian standing by the stairs.

“Everyone is going,” Alena said cheerily. My eyes move to Damian, then back to Alena.

  “Why?” I asked, without thinking.

“We'll get to spend some time together,” Dean said with a grin, a knowing grin.

“Where's Jace and Rose?” I asked.

“They're waiting outside,” Dean said. Damian stood there, eyes fixed on me. He had this sexy frown on his face which would fucking make me go out of focus. As he saw me checking him out, he licked his lips devilishly. Oh god. That tongue. I bit my lips as I thought of last night.

Okay. It's going to be more difficult to stay away from him.

“Let's go,” I said quickly and walked to the door, feeling all hot and nervous. Is this how I'm going to feel whenever I'm around him? As soon as I stepped outside, I saw Rose and Jace, holding hands. Okay? I need to talk to my best friend soon.

“Alena and I are going in my car,” Dean said. “Rose and Jace are going in your car. Thomas and you are going with Damian,” he said, making my eyes widen and my jaw drop open while Damian smirked and ran his fingers on the stubble on his jaw.

  Sexy.

“Why can't I take my own car?” I asked, staring at Dean with one raised eyebrow.

“Because Jace and Rose are going in it!” Alena huffed and pulled Dean to her. “Now let's go!” Everyone walked to their cars while I stood there with Thomas standing next to me. I felt him let go of my hand and he walked to Damian.

“Let's go,” he said cheerfully. Damian smiled and opened the door to the back seat to let Thomas sit in. I was still standing there, looking at them. I watched as Damian bent to be able to put the safety belt around Thomas. A smile crept on my face but it quickly slipped away as Damian turned to look at me.

“Are you going to stand there all day or will you move?” he asked, staring at me. I couldn't decipher any emotion on his face. It was as if he was made of granite. His sexy granite face.

“Yeah, I'm coming,” I mumbled and walked to the passenger side. I got in and watched as Damian settled in too. I turned to see Thomas playing on his Nintendo with his tongue stuck out at the corner of his mouth. He always does that when he's on full concentration. I wanted to pull out his headset as I could hear the game's sound from where I was. But then I decided not to. I turned back to the front to see Damian staring at me. More like observing me. “Are you going to sit there all day or are you going to drive?” I asked with raised eyebrows and watched as a grin formed on his face.

“The things I'd do to that smart mouth,” he rasped and closed his eyes. I turned to look at Thomas and sighed in relief when I realized that he couldn't hear a thing. Damian took a deep breath then started driving. I stared at the road, trying not to think of that sexy piece of meat sitting right next to me.

  Okay. I was hungry.

  Not for food though.

“You are serious about your decision?” Damian suddenly asked. I gulped and turned my head to look at him. He was now frowning as he stared at the road. Everything that he did seem so perfect. Even the freaking way he turned the steering wheel.

“Dead serious,” I answered, my voice low.

“But there's still so many things I want to do to you,” he sighed, turning his face slightly to gauge my reaction. I could feel my cheeks reddening
. I hated the fact that I blush so easily. But hell! That's Damian we're talking about! He could make you blush with one simple eye contact.

“Eyes on the road” I told him. He did as I said. “You heard everything that I told Dean, right?” I asked and watched as he nodded. “And you still don't understand,” I sighed, shaking my head.

“I do,” he said calmly. “But I would never let the media publish stuff about us.”. I scoffed and soon I was glaring at the road.

“You wouldn't let them say anything about us. But once they get information on me, they will make my life miserable. You don't fucking know how it feels to be the prey of those leeches,” I spat with hatred. The truth? I didn't take the fact that the media published rumors about me really well.

“I don't know how it feels?” This time he scoffed. “Sweetheart, I'm on the news every week.” he snapped. I rolled my eyes and shrugged.

“Another good reason not to continue with this deal,” I mumbled. “And your ex is coming. You don't need me anymore,” I told him calmly.

He stopped the car in the parking lot. Thomas shouted in happiness and without waiting for us, he jumped out of the car and ran to where Rose and Jace were sitting.

“I'm not going to sleep with my ex who happened to be a fucking slut who cheated on me,” he spat, staring right at me.

“Too bad for you. I'm not going to sleep with you either,” I said with determination as I opened the door and stepped out. Before walking away, I bent and stared at him. “Or you can look for another girl,” I told him calmly but inside, I was not that calm. I wanted to scream. I didn't want his ex to come. I didn't want to see him with some other girl. But I didn't want to be trapped in the media circle again. I got out of it with so much difficulty.

I have to stay away from Damian. I don't want any bad publicity before my sister's wedding. I walked up to them wearing a fake smile. My life was so fucking complicated. How can Damian make my life better and difficult at the same time?

I shouldn't have accepted that fucking deal which now left me all confused.
