Hot SEALs: A Daye with A SEAL (Kindle Worlds Novella) (Dangerous Curves Series Book 3) Page 5

by Donna Michaels

She backed out of the room and into the hall, her legs too shaky to take her downstairs, so she headed for the other bedroom when the bathroom door swung open and Hawk exited, phone in hand, and wearing a towel.

  Talk about hardbodied…

She stopped dead, a mere foot from his stilled form. Muscles graced his forearms, biceps, and chest, while his eight-pack begged to be licked. Oh how she wanted to volunteer for that mission. Then there was the delicious bulge beneath the knot in the towel that tightened the knot in her stomach.

He was even more incredible than she’d ever imagined.

Her mouth watered while desire shook her from head to toe. If she shifted a tiny bit, she could lean forward and peck his left pec.

Somehow, she found the strength to lift her gaze from his naked splendor and was surprised to see his glasses in place. Had he worn them in the shower? Little droplets dripped from his hair onto his incredibly broad shoulders, but his glasses were dry.

Without thinking, she reached up to remove them, but his hand snaked out and captured her wrist in a vise-like grip.

  “Don’t.”

Screw that. She stepped closer to see his eyes through the dark lenses. “You don’t need them around me, Hawk.”

And before he could react, she shot her other hand up to pull the glasses off his face.

He released her and reeled back. “Damn it, Gina. What are you doing?”

“Proving to you that I don’t care about your scars,” she replied, holding his guarded gaze. “I think you’re magnificent.”

She stepped even closer, but he backed up diagonally and continued to evade her until he was stopped by his opened bedroom door. She followed, lifting up on tiptoe.

“Gina. Don’t,” he growled, slamming his phone on the nearby dresser to grasp her shoulders.

“Shh…” She placed her finger on his mouth to silence him while she kissed the scarred skin below and beside his eye. Then repeated the action on his other eye before drawing back. “See? I survived. You don’t repulse me, Hawk. You need to get that foolish thought out of your head.”

His navy gaze was dark with emotion, desire, and regret. “You’re Cam’s sister.”

“And you’re my brother’s best friend.” She nodded, setting his glasses by his phone.

She should go. Head downstairs. Get away from the temptation of his nearly naked body. He was giving her the chance to leave before they did something they’d regret. But at that moment, she realized her biggest regret of the past five years was leaving him in the hospital, despite his bad attitude. Not sticking around. Not giving into this crazy ass need she’d always had for him. That was her biggest regret.

Life sucked. It was unpredictable. Who knew if she’d ever get the chance to touch him again? Could she really walk away a second time without having him to herself for a day? Or however long they were stuck in this house?

No. She couldn’t. Wouldn’t. She’d worry about the ramifications later. It was past time they gave into this insane attraction.

“I know this thing between us is crazy. I don’t understand it. And if you had any idea what you did to me, Hawk, how much I ache for you…” Her voice trailed off as need took over and she shook.

The pulse in his temple beat as rapidly as the one pounding in her ears.

“To hell with it,” he growled, crushing her close as his mouth captured her gasp.

  Chapter Five

Gina slid her arms around his neck and melted into his hard, hot, flesh. His skin was on fire. Her blood was on fire. He reached under her sweater to cup her breast, his thumb brushing her lace-covered nipple. Need coursed through her, settling low in her belly. She moaned, trying to climb up his hard body.

  God, he was perfect.

He cupped her ass with his other hand and thrust against her. Sweet mercy, she saw stars as desire burst out to every pore.

No man had ever made her feel so hungry.

“You drive me crazy,” he muttered against her skin when his mouth left hers to trail kisses down her throat. “Lift your arms.”

She did as ordered, and air cooled her skin a second later when he yanked her sweater over her head and dropped it on the floor.

“Nice.” He eyed her purple lace bra as he hooked his fingers under the straps and tugged them down her arms.

“God, Gina…you’re the one who’s magnificent,” he whispered, dipping down to kiss each tip before sucking one into his mouth. His fingers unhooked her bra, and it thudded on the floor.

She gasped and arched into him as her eyes drifted close. The sensations were too much, too wonderful to contemplate. So she didn’t. She gave herself over to them. And him. She just hoped he felt the same when he saw her scarred back.

His big, warm hands cupped her breasts, and he released her nipple to lick and nip the other. “So perfect.”

Her eyes opened, and some of her euphoria faded. “Not from the back view. I-I should warn you…I’m flawed.”

Her last boyfriend had enjoyed her body, as long as she was on bottom. At least she liked that position. She felt better when her burns were out of sight.

Hawk straightened, and his gaze met hers while his hands trailed to her back and lightly stroked her scarred flesh.

“There’s nothing wrong with you, Gina.” He turned her around and placed open-mouthed kisses down her back and up again. Not once had he stopped or flinched. “Fucking perfect.”

His breath was warm on her skin, and the heat in his voice made her tremble.

“Yes…you are.” She turned around in his arms, her mind blanking at the sensation of her breasts brushing his solid, hot chest.

“You feel exquisite.” He ran a finger over her collar bone and up throat to her lower lip. “I’ve wanted you for so long, Gina.”

His admission warmed her heart. She touched her tongue to his finger, smiling at his indrawn breath. Ever diligent, he wasted no time taking advantage of opportunity and captured her open mouth.

This time, when he stared into her eyes, restraint and reluctance were gone. It was as if a switch had been flipped. His mind was set. There was a delectable difference in his gaze and touch. No longer tentative, or slight, it was as if Hawk knew what he wanted. He was on a mission, and the mission was—her.

His lips demanded and claimed and gave with a passion that left her breathless and aching for more. Her utter lack of control would’ve normally shocked her, but not now. Not with the hot, ripped, hungry SEAL rocking his hard body into her while his tongue swept her mouth with an identical, delicious rhythm.

Gina was in Hawk heaven. The feel of his warm, callused hands gliding down her ribs to her waist then back up to skim her breasts—as if he needed to touch every inch of her— made her knees wobble. She needed to touch him, too. Wasting no time, she trailed her hands up his arms and down his chest, stroking his abs on the way to knot in the towel. He felt so damn good, her insides quivered.

The corner of his mouth quirked as he drew back slightly to drag in a breath. “I’ve wanted to do this for nearly a decade.”

She blinked at him. “What took you so long?”

That wonderful mouth of his was back on her body, kissing a path down her jaw to the curve of her neck, making it damn hard to concentrate on conversation. His hands didn’t help either; gripping her waist, tracing small circles on her hips, sending tiny tremors all over her body.

“Foolishness.” His gaze returned to hers. “I mistakenly thought this attraction between us could be ignored.”

“Me, too,” she admitted, sliding her palms over his shoulders. “At least we wised up.”

  “Better late than never.”

His hair was tousled, thanks to her roaming hands, and desire deepened the blue of his eyes to an incredible navy. Appropriate for a former SEAL. She’d never dated a SEAL and certainly never had sex with one. Until now.

  Until Hawk.

Somehow, he blasted her defenses with his broken soul, kindred spirit, and genuin
e, caring heart. The man made her feel good about herself, made her want to make him feel better, too.

Heat rushed into her face as she continued to hold his gaze. “I haven’t had sex in over eight months. Not since my boyfriend left me at a dinner party when I showed up in a strapless dress.”

A dark emotion blazed in his eyes, replaced by an unwavering warmth. “What’s his address? I’d like to pay him a visit.” He brushed her cheek with the back of his knuckles. “He was a damn fool, Gina.”

She kissed his knuckles. “He never made me feel like you do. Never made me want to do the things I want to do with you, Hawk.”

His eyes were dark. Very dark.

“I want to do things to you, too. Things that’ll have you crying out, begging for more,” he stated, and before she knew it, he picked her up and carried her to the bed.

Her heart knocked hard against her ribs before settling back in her chest. Oh boy. Her whole body sparked to life.

He set her on the mattress, then knelt down to remove her boots and socks. “I’m going to take care of you real good, Gina.”

Her ribs endured another pounding from her out-of-control heartbeats. “Good.”

With an ease that took her breath, he unbuckled her jeans and tugged them off. “Pretty,” he muttered, leaning in to kiss her purple bikini panties.

He reached for her, his hands closing around her upper arms before he slowly brought her to her feet.

He was close. So deliciously close she only had to lean forward just a hair and their lips would touch. But she held back, eager to see what he had planned. Because, judging by the determined gleam in his eyes, oh hell yeah, the man most definitely had a plan.

And she suspected, given his history of being thorough, she was in for a hell of a treat.

His gaze dropped to her mouth, and she shook with an anticipation that raced to all her neglected parts. Her favorite parts. He held her against his hard chest with an effortless strength that sent butterflies fluttering in her stomach. Without a sound, he continued to gaze at her mouth, his jaw flexing as if it was a struggle to hold back.

  “You feel that?”

  Hell yeah.

Her body was on sensation overload. She felt so much, it was hard to form words. She nodded and slid her hands over his broad shoulders to cup the back of his head. Pressed up against his rock hard body, she let out a small, needy sound as desire shot through to her core.

  “Feels good, Hawk.”

“Damn good.” He walked her backward, untangling her hands from his neck while he pressed her down until her back hit the mattress.

He lifted up and held himself an inch above her. Those broad shoulders of his blocked out most of the light. He looked magnificent, all sinewy and ripped, and hungry. And those eyes, damn, they were fathomless and open. He stared into hers, letting anticipation drum between them, driving her a little bit insane before he finally bent to kiss her.

A needy, desperate sound rushed up her throat on contact.

Eager and hungry, she opened her mouth for him, sliding her tongue against his. She was rewarded with a deep groan that rumbled in his chest.

She needed to feel more. She wanted him on her. Wanted him in her.

As if he wanted those things too, his forearms hit the mattress as he covered her with every incredible inch of his body.

  Yes…

She’d waited a decade to lie under Gabriel “Hawk” Barrett. And, God, it was so worth the wait. He shoved a hand in her hair while he ran the other down her side. Her body responded to the need she felt in his touch by making room for him between her legs and arching up to rock against him.

“Killing me,” he uttered against her neck as they broke for air.

The feel of all of him pressed up against her was too much, and she couldn’t stop her hips from undulating again. He muttered a curse and pressed back with his impressive erection.

She cupped his face, thrilled at the feel of stubble against her palm. “You drive me crazy, too.”

As she watched her thumb skim over his lower lip, Gina tried not to panic at what she was feeling. It’d been a while since she’d felt so stirred. In fact, she hadn’t really ever experienced this foundation-rocking, earth-slipping movement before.

He whispered her name in a low, husky tone that told her he was feeling just as unnerved. That made her feel better, knowing she wasn’t alone in this uncharted, emotional frenzy.

With her name on his lips again, he slowly lowered his head and kissed her. Long and deep and wet. The sensual caress shut down what little brain power she had left. And…damn, he tasted hot and intensely male.

“I want you, Gina,” he murmured.

“Me, too,” she whispered, pulling his head back down. “Take what you want. I’m all yours, Hawk.”

At this, he let out the sexiest damn groan and did as she suggested. His lips devoured, taking what he wanted without apology. Their embrace went from aroused to frenzied and wild; their hands touched everywhere as they took turns on top, his towel unraveling to tangle around their legs. She licked, and kissed, and nipped, enjoying the journey south, down his quivering abs.

Then, suddenly, she was flat on her back with her wrists clamped in his hand and pressed high above her head.

She moaned. Couldn’t help it. He covered her completely with his entire weight. Crazy with need, she wrapped her legs around him, bringing him in tighter against her.

“Damn, you’re hot,” he murmured against her neck then bit that special spot behind her ear.

She gasped and angled her head to give him better access.

Yeah. There. Her eyes fluttered shut, so overwhelmed with sensations. The air changed. Amped up. Energy zinged between them. It was crazy. Insane. Delicious.

  “Hawk…”

“Tell me. What do you want?”

  “I want you.”

The instant the words left her mouth, he dipped down, kissing the curve of her neck, nipping her collarbone, then kissing the side of a breast before gently sucking on the tip. The feel, the motion, was so wonderful, so perfect, she arched up, pushing more into his mouth.

An incoherent sound gushed from her lips, full of hunger and need. She would have been mortified had she been alone in the turmoil. But she wasn’t alone. Given the low, sexy sound that rumbled through his chest, conveying hunger and impatience, he felt it, too.

Relentless and intoxicating, he continued to tease her nipples with his talented mouth. Never one to remain idle, she slid her hands down his ribs and hips before reaching around to cup his fine ass. He made that rumble sound again and thrust against her before releasing her breast to draw back and glance down at the only piece of material separating them.

Her purple lace, high-cut bikini panties.

“Sexy as hell, but…” His smoldering gaze slammed into her. “Time for them to go.”

She cupped his face and grinned. “You got a plan to eliminate them, Mr. Navy SEAL?”

His chest was warm and deliciously hard against her as he lowered his lips to within an inch of hers.

“Guess you’ll have to wait and see.”

His eyes were lit with heat and humor, and the sight would remain in her heart forever. The man was slowly stripping her defenses and digging in deep.

The sudden urge to taste him was strong. As if reading her mind, he brushed his mouth over her, kissing her slow and lazy, building a fire from all that simmered inside. When he finally ended the kiss, he stared down with so much heat and intensity she shivered.

“I can’t wait to be inside you.”

His words liquefied her bones. “I hope that’s going to be soon.” She grabbed his ass again and rocked up, her good parts pulsing in anticipation.

Hawk chuckled low in his chest and used his knees to open her legs farther. “In a hurry, are we?” Holding her gaze, he reached down with his hand and slid his fingers between her thighs under her panties.

At the first stroke, she cried out, so damn ready
and needy it was pathetic. But it was good, too. Damn good. His touch was so delicious, so perfect, she nearly lost it on the second stroke.

“So wet.” He stroked her again, and lowered his head to kiss her nipple, rasping his tongue over the tip, and then again while her breath hitched in her throat.

He withdrew his finger, grasped the lace, and tugged her panties down and off as his lips brushed over her ribs, her belly, and hip. By this time, she could barely remember her name. He lifted up to glance at her nakedness and sucked in a breath. “So perfect.”

  “Hawk—”

  She was dying with need.

His large hands palmed her thighs and he nudged her further apart until he wedged his shoulders between her legs and took in the view.

Her heart was pounding ruthlessly in her chest. “I need…”

What? She didn’t know for sure.

  He did.

The wonderful, intuitive man leaned forward and lapped at her, again and again, ripping little mewing sounds from her throat. He was delivering on his promise. She shoved her fingers into his hair and held on for the ride. Her body quivered. She rocked into him, and cried out when he added his thick fingers.

Damn. He was good. So good.

She trembled, and begged for more, straining, every muscle taut and seeking release. He continued to lap and she clutched him with a fierce desperation, so close to the brink. This was new. So new. It had never felt like this. Like she needed to climax more than she needed to breathe.

In tune to her needs, he held her at the edge for a beat before sending her over with a long, sure stroke.

  Oh, God…

Swift and intense, her orgasm burst through with merciless speed and heart pounding force. Hawk cradled her and brought her down slowly as she shuddered against him. Attentive. Thorough. Everything she’d expected. She wanted to ask him what he’d done to her, but that would require talking, and she still needed a moment to find her voice.

He lifted his head, his gaze smoldering as he smiled at her. “You taste fantastic.”
