A Christmas Wish--A Contemporary Erotic Feel Good Christmas Romance (Darkest Fears Christmas Special, Book Four) Page 20

by Clair Delaney

“Ok, lovely Coral – stop pushing now, babies crowning,” she says, concentrating hard on the task.

And I feel the strangest sensation down below, and then I hear it, his cry – Ethan!

“Is he out?” I cry out.

“Yes!” Georgie shouts in delight as she begins checking him over.

“Oh my god,” Tristan chokes. Being taller, I’m guessing he can see Georgie working on our little man.

“Is he ok?” I cry, already worried.

“Everything is fine,” Georgie says, smiling widely, and then she’s leaning forward and passing me a little bundle that’s wrapped up a white blanket.

Tristan starts crying his crazy man crying behind me, which makes me burst into tears. And the two of us, together, take hold of baby Ethan, and cradle him in our arms.

“Hi Ethan,” I whisper, as silent tears stream down my cheeks, I reach up and softly stroke his forehead, wondering if he’s going to like that the same as his Papa does. “I’m your Moma,” I add, which makes Tristan do a funny laughing, crying, I’m so happy but so overwhelmed noise.

“And this big guy behind me, he’s your Papa,” Ethan stares up at Tristan then, as though he already understands what I’m saying.

“Hey little man,” he says, and goes to stroke Ethan, but his little hand grabs onto Tristan’s finger making him catch his breath. “Wow,” he says again. And for a man who can speak to eloquently, he must really be lost for words.

“Thank you,” I whisper to Tristan as I continue to stroke Ethan’s forehead. “You gave me something to live and fight for Tristan, a family. First you and me, and now...” I start crying again, and for once I’m not mad that I am crying, because these are one hundred percent tears of joy.

“No Coral,” Tristan chokes out, “Thank you baby,” he sniffs a couple of times. So I twist my head around to him, wanting so much to comfort him, and softly kiss his lips.

“You did it,” he says, resting his forehead against mine.

“We did it,” I whisper back.

Tristan gazes down at Ethan then in wonder and awe.

“Here Tristan,” I turn slightly and place Ethan in his Papa’s strong arms.

“Hi,” Tristan whispers, then gently plants a kiss on Ethan’s forehead. And I smile, overwhelmed with joy at the sight of my husband, gently holding our baby in his arms, and I know this is it, the beginning of another new adventure together. And there’s not a single part of me that’s afraid - and it’s all because of Tristan. So onwards we will go, and travel down this new path, that’s going to be challenging, and tiring, but also full of joy and surprises and most of all, happiness...
