[Fae Scandals 1]Prince of Submission
Page 14
Adrian had wanted to get married straight away, but Corrin had insisted on a more celebratory venue. Over the next six months Corrin had planned every last detail of the ceremony and had made the announcement to the public that he was gay and that he was marrying his lover Adrian Cadence, an Unseelie prince. They had a select group of magazines that they had allowed to view the ceremony today. Those select few included several music magazines who were interested in Desire’s performance at the close of the ceremony. They were performing their brand-new collection of songs from their newest album, Prince of Submission. The rumor going around was that it was a dedication to the former Seelie prince.
All of Corrin’s friends and classmates from college were in attendance as well as a large number of Adrian’s friends and clan, including the man who’d sired him as a Vampire. Gael had shown up along with a few other Seelie friends to show their support, and the king and queen had sent presents as well as their regards. The king of the Unseelie himself had married them.
As they walked to their table at the center of the procession, Gael handed him their champagne glasses with a smile before walking back over to the table where the rest of the Seelie Fae who had shown up were sitting. Despite his obvious happiness, there was a thread of sadness there as well. He’d been avoiding Dorian and Juliet, whom Corrin had insisted on inviting in hopes of giving Gael either new hope or closure in the matter. It frustrated him that Gael was being so stubborn on the subject. Corrin wanted the man who made his love possible to find a happily ever after for himself. When Dorian stood and started walking over to his table, hope bloomed in his chest. Good. Someone is going to make the first move. He raised his champagne glass in a silent congratulatory salute.
Adrian intercepted his glass before he could take a sip and held it out of his reach, grinning. “I don’t know if you need any more spirits. Your half of the wedding party was well into their cups before the ceremony.”
Corrin pinched his butt in retaliation. “It’s a party, Adrian Cadence. Give me back my glass.” Several reporters crowded close, and he grabbed hold of Adrian’s spare hand as the cameras flashed. When they cleared out of the way, he looked back over to his lover and was struck once more by the sheer masculine power that his bond-mate exuded. “I never thought I’d meet the Unseelie who would become my Master.”
Adrian chuckled. “And I never thought when I danced with a sexy submissive in a fetish club I’d be meeting my Prince of Submission.”
Corrin laughed, and Adrian grimaced as a large group of well-wishers crowded around, effectively cutting off the rest of their conversation for the moment. That was all right though. They had eternity to luxuriate in their love. Blue eyes clashed with green over the heads of the crowd, and they shared a look of contentment, knowing that they were the luckiest men on Earth.
