One Night (The Hawkins Brothers Part 2) Page 7

by Ashe, Karina

He started moving faster, and she arched off the bed when his finger thrust into her. A second joined it, and she grabbed his wrist, riding his fingers as the pressure built, hard and fast. She’d never raced to a climax like this. Every nerve tingled, her body so hot she wanted to tear her clothes off.

His fingers drove into her, faster, deeper, and she arched off the bed, gasping for breath. She bit back a scream as her body clenched around him, and rocked against his hand, taking him deeper. Her orgasm exploded through her.

He kept stroking her as she rode it out, stretching out her pleasure, until she let go of him and clutched the bed, breathless and spent.

“Oh—God.” He slipped his fingers out of her, slowly, and she shuddered. “Marcus—”

“You are amazing, Leah.” He kissed her, then lowered himself to the pillow. “That was amazing.”

“And you exhausted yourself.” She pulled down her skirt, still throbbing from her orgasm, and climbed off the bed, grabbing the closest bottle of water she set on the nightstand. “Drink. I’m going to get more water, and something for you to eat.”

She padded out of the bedroom, smiling as she buttoned her shirt. Marcus may unbutton it again the second she climbed back into bed with him, but she was chilled. In fact, the whole apartment felt cold.

A quick walk around and she found the thermostat, resetting it to warm up the huge space. That should help with any stiffness he might feel from their—activities.

Leah smiled again. She’d never felt so free, so completely comfortable with a man before now. Marcus had worked his way in past every defense, and she loved him for his tenacity. For his gentle ways, his sense of humor, his intensity when he loved her.

She simply loved him—all of him.

When she reached the kitchen, she worked fast, creating a tray of cheese, fruit and crackers—easy to eat food, with enough protein to help him heal. A couple pieces of cheese settled her growling stomach. She balanced two more bottles of water on the tray, walked back to the bedroom, and halted in the doorway when she saw him fast asleep. Again.

She left the water on the nightstand and returned to the kitchen long enough to cover the tray with cling wrap and tuck it in the fridge. It would be ready once he woke, as an appetizer if he was hungry for more than finger food.

Before she headed back to the bedroom, she found her overnight bag and rummaged through it, finding her sleep shirt. She wanted to be comfortable this time.

Marcus was still asleep when she returned to the bedroom. She changed quickly, and climbed into bed, pulling the throw over both of them. He sighed, wrapping his arm around her when she stretched out next to him. The bedroom smelled like sex, and the scent of sandalwood and warm musk that was uniquely Marcus.

Leah laid her head on his shoulder and took her first real breath since he was injured.

Whatever happened next, they would face it.

  Together.

Here’s a sneak peek of Reluctant Billionaires: Derek & Lauren, just for you.

  Excerpt from Reluctant Billionaires

Derek walked around the side of the house and unlatched the gate in the wooden fence to get a view of the rear. A few long steps and he turned the corner to land on the back patio where he got a sizeable rear view that he wasn’t expecting.

Bent over and completely unaware of his presence was a robust woman clad only in a two-piece bathing suit with a hose in one hand and a scrub brush in the other. Derek watched while she alternated bending over to scrub the patio surface with brush and standing to rinse the washed area with the hose.

He shook his head. The woman was barely making a dent in the job. She did mention that she had just bought the place, and he guessed it might be her first home. Although he couldn’t see her face, she seemed young. He noticed her full bottom had a nice round curve, as did her hips. Her pale skin was smooth and firm, and if he had to guess from his current view, he’d estimate her age at somewhere in her late twenties.

He cleared his throat and started to say something to indicate his presence, but she jumped sky high before he got any words out. She spun around, hose going full blast, and showered him with a spray of water.

“Whoa!” Derek jumped back, out of her range, but not fast enough. The front of his shirt took a direct hit.

“Oh! Oh!” The woman dropped the hose in surprise. The nozzle hit the ground with the spout turned upward, and the stream shot back her way, soaking her.

“Aaach!” Flustered, she attempted to grab the head and turn off the flow. But instead of moving out of the steady stream and picking up the nozzle, she leaned in to reach for it. The water hit her in the face, but she persevered and finally was able to grab the hose bib and turn it off.

She stood, soaked from head to toe, and glared at Derek. “Who the hell are you, and what are you doing here?”

Derek was mesmerized. It wasn’t often that a woman left him speechless, but he couldn’t focus on what she was saying. He noticed the outline of her massive breasts and her nipples popping out through the thin fabric of her bathing suit top, like she was a contestant in a wet tee shirt contest.

Derek almost responded to the voice of his little head, which was begging him to untie the bathing suit top for an unobscured look at her heaving chest. He felt the little head poking up for a better view, urging him to bury his face between those beauties.

“Answer me!” she demanded, drawing his attention back to the situation.

Derek forced the big head to take control. “Derek Holmes, Ma’am. I’m here for our appointment about your landscaping work.”
