My Soul For You

She let her knees drop the way she did at home and reached between her legs. Her finger slipped in the pool of cream nestled in the folds of her sex. He hadn’t been kidding. She was soaking. Even she was surprised by how wet. Her heart drummed as she went through the familiar dance. Her fingers slipped in and out with such great ease. They swept seamlessly up to circle her clit. She moaned as she bucked into her own hand.

  “Jesus…”

Eyes she hadn’t realized she’d closed opened, but only partially as she peered at him through half slits. The sight sent another burst of arousal to soak her fingers.

He stood completely naked, his long hands wrapped around the full length of his cock. Katie felt a hard punch in the gut at the sight of it. It was beautiful, if such a thing could be considered beautiful, with a thick width and fat mushroom head. It was leaking slightly onto the tight fist he had wrapped around it. Her core pulsed, ready and waiting.

  “Please,” she whispered. “Kaleb.”

He climbed onto the bed and kneeled into position. His hand fell away from his erection and tucked beneath her. He lifted her to him. But rather than the meeting of their bodies, she was gifted by the drop of his head between her thighs.

“Kaleb…?” Her question died in a squeak at the violent thrust of his tongue deep into her body.

Her hands flew to the back of his head. Her fingers tangled in the silky strands of hair and she held him there as he lapped at her. His hands moved up to peel back her lips, opening her to his attack.

His tongue tore out of her only to lash out against the bundle of nerves throbbing for attention. Three fingers replaced the emptiness left behind by his tongue. Katie whimpered his name as she pushed up against his face. Her blood hummed between her ears as her toes curled into the sheets. She was barely conscious of her own voice, crying his name as she shattered.

The world continued to sway as she floated back to earth. Her toes cracked as she unfurled them. Her fingers loosened in his hair and glided down the side of his face. She lowered her chin to peer down the length of her body at where he was still flicking her helpless clit, drawing out every last shudder from her.

She smiled at him, sleepy and sated. “That was amazing. Thank you.”

Grabbing a fistful of the sheets, he wiped his mouth before moving up her. She was expecting a kiss. But he made it halfway up her body before he got distracted by her breasts. He dropped his head and took one into his mouth while he palmed the other. Katie gasped as he used his teeth to tug on the nipple. His thumb and forefinger pinched and rolled the other one until she was writhing beneath him all over again.

“I can’t again,” she cried, knowing full well that wasn’t true.

“Oh yes, you can,” he said without a shred of doubt. “If this is the only night I get you, I plan on fucking you until you can’t sit properly tomorrow without thinking of me and what I made you do.”

God, she loved when he talked like that.

“I’m pretty sure there’s a limit to how many times … oh God!” She broke off with a desperate gasp when the hand on her breast slid down between her legs and flicked her clit. He pinched it between his fingers and tugged on it in time to his sucking until she was thrashing under him.

“Care to find out what that limit is?” he teased once she was coherent enough to hear again.

“Enough,” she sobbed, pressing her hands into his chest and nudging him back an inch. She peered into his face. “I want you, Kaleb. I want you inside me.”

Carefully, he drew back off the bed. Katie watched as he stood before her, still hard and leaking. She licked her lips before letting her eyes travel north to his face.

He sighed. “I wasn’t expecting this tonight.” He shifted his weight. “I have one condom in my wallet and I know it won’t be enough.”

Katie’s breath hitched. “We could get some more. I’m sure there’s a store open somewhere…”

He shook his head. “It’s well after midnight and the drug store in the hotel is closed.” He grinned and the hungry glint was back in his eyes. “I don’t mind making tonight about you.”

Gingerly, she pushed herself up and gathered the sheets around her. She looked into his face. “I’ve been with one person, and that was over a year ago,” she told him. “I got checked afterwards. I’m clean and on the pill.”

Something sparked behind his eyes. “Katie…”

She put up a hand. “I don’t condone unsafe sex, but I’m just saying.”

He sighed and lowered himself down across from her. “My last partner was six months ago. I got tested a month later and it was clean. I haven’t been with anyone since.”

  She searched his eyes. “So…”

He laughed as he reached out and lightly tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. “Only if you’re sure.”

She didn’t even need to think about it. “I am.” She took his hand and tugged him towards her. “I want all of you.”

He went to her, simultaneously nudging her onto her back while jerking the sheets away from her. He covered her with his body and tucked his hips between her thighs. The head of his erection brushed her opening. Her breathing quickened as his weight settled like a warm blanket over her.

Kaleb grinned. “Ready for me, baby?”

Trembling all over in anticipation, Katie nodded.

He brought his mouth to hers in a slow, teasing kiss that sent slivers of sunshine coursing through her veins. Her arms slipped around his shoulders and she held him to her. He deepened the kiss, making her head swim deliciously. His hand drifted down her side to brace her hip as he aligned himself. He murmured something against her mouth, but it was overshadowed drastically by the swift surge of his shaft thrusting deep inside her. The raw pressure of being filled had her walls constricting around him. Her back tore off the mattress as she gasped his name.

Kaleb bit the curve of her neck where the skin met her shoulder. His fingers interlocked with hers and he drew her arms over her head, using them as leverage to drive inside her, each plunge harder and faster than the last. His hot breath washed over her skin with every grunt.

Katie kissed his shoulder. Then turned her head and let her lips travel the side of his face until she caught his mouth in a fierce kiss. She arched her back, meeting his every thrust with one of her own. She whispered his name, urging him for more as her body coiled in a sensation she was beginning to get very familiar with.

He drawled low, erotic suggestions into her ear, things that only seemed to fuel the fire, things that should have horrified and embarrassed her, but instead she came with an explosive scream. Her body clamped down hard around him, holding him prisoner inside her as she fought not to pass out from the sheer pleasure. Her head rocked wildly from side to side in desperation, as a whirlwind broke out inside her. She felt it roaring in her ears.

“God, Katie, I love how you do that!” he hissed into her shoulder. He continued to rock inside her. “Love how you come for me,” he panted, his breathing erratic and his heart drumming against her skin.

His voice strained. His muscles tensed. She felt him give three violent thrusts before he shuddered with a groan. Warmth seeped between her legs and she shivered.

Carefully, he slipped out of her and rose off the bed. He disappeared into the bathroom. She heard the water run and a moment later, he returned with a damp rag. Katie gave a weak whimper as he pressed the warm cloth to her sensitive flesh.

Satisfied once she was properly clean, he left the rag in the bathroom and returned. He gathered her up into his arms where she cuddled against his chest, already half asleep.

“That was amazing,” she murmured into his damp skin.

His fingers brushed away coils of wet hair off her temple. “It was.” He kissed her forehead. “Get some rest. I’m not done with you.”

  Chapter Eight

True to his promise, they spent the majority of the night waking each other up with slow kisses and hungry hands. Katie knew she would be sore for the rest of the
week, but that didn’t stop her from giving in every time. It was as though he’d put a spell on her that made it impossible to resist him. Not that she was complaining. She loved every second of it. He was incredible and she felt incredible in his arms.

Come morning, her earlier assumption proved correct when she opened her eyes and winced at the series of aches throughout her body. Although not entirely uncomfortable, she couldn’t help wanting to stay sprawled across the sheets until they stopped. It was only the fact that she woke up knowing she was alone that had her darting upright.

The place Kaleb had occupied for most of the night lay rumpled and barren. The pillow was dented and the sheets carelessly tossed aside. But it was the fact that it was empty that had Katie’s heart rocketing in her chest and her mouth going dry. Her gaze shot over the room, hoping to find him possibly in the washroom, but the door was open and the lights off.

“No…” Throwing back the sheets, she scurried to the lip of the bed and peered down. His clothes were gone.

She sat back, her heart having plummeted down somewhere around her ankles. Tears welled and spilled down her cheeks as she sat there, stunned. He’d left. No note. Not a word. He was gone.

Struggling not to fall apart at the searing realization, she simply sat there for what felt like eons as her insides bled into each other. The pain was suffocating. She couldn’t believe he would just leave like that, like Dylan. She had been so sure he was different.

She had always known Dylan would never really amount to the man she wanted, and some part of her had known their night together would really mean nothing. But Kaleb … she had felt with him. He had drowned her in emotions the entire night. He had built and broken her every chance he got and she had let him. She had let herself go for him. It had to be her. She had to be doing something wrong.

“If this is the only night I get you, I plan on fucking you until you can’t sit properly tomorrow without thinking of me and what I made you do.”

Memories of his words floated back to her in tendrils. They prickled her conscious like a warning and the reality punched her in the gut. He’d told her it would only be the one night. He never promised her more and she had foolishly accepted that.

  God, she was so stupid!

Smothering the sob clawing up the back of her throat with a hand over her mouth, she threw herself off the bed and darted into the bathroom. She twisted on the shower blindly and stumbled into the tub. The water was too hot, but she didn’t care.

  “Care for some company?”

The unexpected intrusion nearly scared the skin off her. She whirled around, not knowing what to expect as the grinning figure slipped into the tub with her.

  “Kaleb?”

His grin broadened. “Were you expecting someone else?”

Confusion and elations ran headlong into each other and she just stared at him, too stunned to do anything else.

  His smile faded. “What?”

She managed to shake herself enough to blink and swallow, but the wedge in her throat refused to abate.

“Katie?” Gentle hands touched her. They drew her into warm arms. “Was I too rough? Did I hurt you?”

Face mashed against the center of his chest, she succeeded in shaking her head.

  “What is it then?”

Sucking a lungful of steamy air, she forced herself to speak. “I’m sorry.” She drew herself up. “I thought…” She took another deep breath. “I thought you left.”

She felt him shake his head. “I was waiting for you in the other room.”

Squeezing her eyes closed, she gripped him tighter.

“Hey, what is it?” he asked again, rubbing her back gently.

“My last relationship kind of ended that way,” she murmured, seeing no choice but to explain. “He just left the next morning and I…” Humiliation had her throat closing.

“And you thought I would do the same,” he finished for her.

“No.” She willed herself to look up into his face. “I didn’t think you would, which is why I was so surprised to find you gone.”

His features softened. His hand lifted to her face and smoothed back tendrils of hair and tears mixed with water off her cheek. He bent his head and his lips found hers in a slow, tantalizing kiss.

“I didn’t want to wake you,” he murmured against her mouth. “And I knew I would if I stayed in bed. You’re very tempting like that.” He grinned when she blushed and lowered her eyes. He kissed her cheek. “Amazing you can still blush after last night.”

With a sound between a groan and a squeak, she dropped her face into his chest. He chuckled into her shoulder. His hands skimmed along her spine to the curve of her backside.

“Sore?” he asked, nibbling a path along the curve of her neck.

She nodded, head still pillowed against his shoulder. “A little.”

His hands slid up to settle along her lower back. Katie smiled as he continued to pepper tender kisses up and down her shoulder.

“I have to work today,” he told her in between nips. “But I would much rather stay here with you.”

Turning her head, she pressed her face into the warm skin of his throat. “Me too.” Brushing a kiss to his Adam’s apple, she pulled back to meet his gaze. “I don’t know what time I have to check out, but I’m sure it’s sometime this morning.”

He nodded. “Wash up. I’ll order breakfast.”

With a last kiss that curled her toes and made her heart speed up, he grabbed a towel and left her. Katie slumped into the spray and closed her eyes.

Clad in a fluffy white robe, she emerged twenty minutes later, feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. She padded into the main area to find Kaleb standing at the window, fully dressed with his hands clasped at his back. He looked beautiful with his damp hair falling around his face and his shirt sleeves rolled up to the elbows. His feet were bare which somehow made him seem even sexier. It was almost a shame to disturb him.

  “Hey.”

He turned and his face broke into a breathtaking smile that did funny things to her insides. “Hey.” He moved towards her. “Hungry?”

Platters of eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes, toast, and a wide assortment of cakes and fruits dominated the table.

“That’s a lot of food,” she decided. “Are you expecting company?”

He slipped his hands into his pockets. “I wasn’t sure what you liked.”

So you ordered the entire menu? She wanted to ask and would have if he hadn’t looked so proud of himself.

“It looks great,” she said, giving him a smile.

Breakfast passed with small talk, none which felt forced or awkward. It was as though they’d been together for years. The ease with which he drew her in amazed her. He was so charming and funny. She hated for it to end. But it did.

She took her rumpled dress to the bedroom and tried to get herself back into the garment. Aunt Hannah had helped her do up the laces, laces which Kaleb had tugged free. Doing them up by herself was a task that required a lot of bending, wiggling, and swearing. Yet she still couldn’t get it fastened tight enough.

“Need some help?” Kaleb strolled into the room just as she gave the hem of her skirt a vicious kick.

She huffed, blowing a coil of hair out of her eyes. “Yes please!”

Wisely keeping his grin contained, he moved up behind her. “Oh and this came for you. It was slipped under the door.”

She took the envelope he passed her with one hand while scooping her hair over one shoulder with the other. She studied the white casing, the text and weight clearly expensive. Her name was scrawled across the front in elaborate loops. She tore the top open as Kaleb tightened the lace on her corset.

“It’s from the gala people.” she said, pulling out the heavy card and turning it over. “Thank you for your participation,” she read aloud. “We hope you have enjoyed your evening with us. We look forward to our business with you in the future.” Katie frowned. “What does that mean?”

&nb
sp; Last lace securely in place, Kaleb slid his hands down her arms and brushed a kiss to the back of her head. “They’re probably talking about the charity. They want you to come back and donate next year.”

“Oh.” She slipped the card back into the envelope. “That probably won’t happen.”

  “Why’s that?”

Grimacing, she turned to him. “Because I wasn’t technically supposed to be here this year.”

A dark eyebrow lifted in interest, but further questioning was suspended when the phone rang. Leaving him watching after her, Katie hurried to answer it. There was a tinkle of bells followed by a woman’s melodious voice thanking her for choosing the Grand Majestic and that she hoped Katie’s stay was pleasant, but it was time to pack her things and leave. It wasn’t put so much in those words, but the implication was fairly straightforward.

Kaleb drove her home. He pulled up alongside the shop and left the engine idling as he turned to her.

“I’m going to be busy this week,” he told her, turning in his seat to face her. “I wanted you to know, so you don’t think I’m avoiding you in case I don’t see you for a couple of days.” Reaching across her, he flipped open the glove compartment. He dug inside until he unearthed a pen and a crumpled receipt from the hardware store. He smoothed it out across the middle console and scribbled his number. “I might not be able to get to my phone very often, but if you call or text me, I’ll message you back as soon as I can.”

Katie took the number from him.

“Thank you.” Taking the pen from him, she wrote her own number along the bottom and tore it off. “Just in case,” she said, grinning at him.

Rather than take the paper, he curled his fingers over her entire hand and drew her forward. He lowered his mouth and kissed her long and hard. She was breathless and heady by the time he pulled away.

“Thank you for last night,” he murmured, tracing the curve of her cheek with the pad of his thumb. “I’ll never forget it.”

Blushing, Katie lowered her gaze. “You’re welcome, and thank you back. It was amazing.”

He skimmed another kiss over her lips. “Yeah, it was.”
