“Hey, Allegra!” a reporter called out. “So have you fallen for Jacob? Are you back together?”
I glanced over at Jake with a sly smile.
“Now that I think about it,” Jake said softly so only I could hear. “I might need to set the reporters straight on that headline.”
“Why?”
“Because you didn’t fall for me. If I recall, from the moment we met, you knocked me off my feet.”
We both threw our heads back and laughed, ignoring the reporters, and disappeared backstage.
