“Damn, so tight. Ah, fuck yes,” Alex said harshly.

His low groan sounded from behind her and he nipped her shoulder with a sharp bite. After moving in and out of her slowly, he took her hard. There was now a raw need that coursed through her. Alex was wild in his taking of her. Without moving, he flipped her to her belly and she instinctively pulled her knees up and braced her hands against the bed. Alex gripped her hips and soon she found his rhythm. She was on her hands and knees as Alex took her. Dominic lifted her hand that was braced on the bed just long enough so that he could fill the space between her and the mattress. He played with her full breasts, taking each nipple into his mouth and sucking. Alex took her body with primal force until they were both calling out in their pleasure and it echoed off the walls in the room.

“Say my name, baby!” Alex’s voice was urgent.

“Alex, oh, yes, Alex,” Tempest cried out. She felt hot and sweaty, yet had goose bumps at the same time. Desire flowed hot like lava through her veins.

Dominic’s cock was hard again; she felt it poking against her arm. She reached out and took his cock, stroking it faster as Alex fucked her and sent her into a tailspin of pure, unadulterated need. She came hard, screaming in delight and then she felt his hot come fill her ass. Dominic’s body tensed and he groaned while his seed poured over her hand. They all collapsed in an exhausted heap, completely satisfied and utterly spent.

“Round one, Tempest, you win.” Dominic heaved out a breath mixed with a laugh. “Oh, God, I’ve never felt so completely fucking amazing!”

Alex laughed as well and lifted his head. The howl that came from his lips was definitely not human and when Dominic joined him, the sound that came from them made her shiver. Instinctively, she knew that this was their call to let all know they had a mate.

Alex turned onto his side and cupped her face in his big hand. “Wolves mate for life. I am yours and you’re mine if you’ll have me.”

Dominic turned her face to his and kissed her gently. “I am yours and you are mine if you’ll have me.”

She took both their hands and kissed them reverently. “I accept you both.”

They curled together on the big, wide bed and slept. Tempest never felt so loved and never felt such a driven force to give love and comfort before in her life. Without a doubt, she would make sure to protect them as best she could and she knew they would do the same for her. She had run into the chaotic unknown, in rain and howling winds, and found perfection in the arms of two lone wolves.

  Chapter Five

One week later, they had decided on two things. One was that they couldn’t live without each other and the other was that she was going to keep her house. Tempest learned that while being the mate of two wolves was one intense ride, she also needed her space. Of course, they had more than ample room for her to move in, but they were both two very dominant males. So her house was an escape where she could go to read or paint, tend her vegetable garden, or just sit and watch the bayou. She chuckled in her kitchen while she cleaned and put herbs from her garden in baskets to dry. That didn’t mean they didn’t come for her when they missed her, even if it had only been a couple of hours. Like now, she could feel their wolf eyes watching her from the woods as she stood in front of her kitchen window.

Tempest sighed and walked to the back door. She opened up and called, “I know you both are out there. Come on in.”

She watched them walk out of the underbrush and across the tall grass. By the time they were walking through the front door, they were naked, virile men.

“Hey, sweetheart.” Alex lifted her off her feet and kissed her.

“Baby, did you miss us?” Dominic gave her the same treatment.

She smiled, but tried to keep her voice stern. “This isn’t going to work if you guys keep invading my house. Remember, this is supposed to be my Zen place.”

“We can go,” Alex said. “Just say the word and we’ll be out of your hair.”

  “Uh-huh,” Tempest snorted.

“We came for a reason this time, I swear.” Dominic held up a hand as if he were swearing on the bible.

“Which would be?” Tempest put her hands on her hips.

“There are rules to being a wolf and rules when we decided not to align with a pack,” Alex explained. “The main clan of Louisiana claims this area as their hunting grounds. While we own this acreage of the plantation, we still have to check in.”

Tempest looked at them curiously. “Check in like they keep tabs on you?”

“They want to make sure that we’re not causing trouble or doing something that could bring our second nature to the public eye,” Dominic answered. “Lone wolves sometimes decide that killing humans is sport. When we settled here, and with our background in the military, it had them hesitant. If strange deaths started happening in the area or something like that, they would be at our door to scent us to see if we were a part of it. It’s better to go to these scheduled meetings so the Alpha can feel secure.”

“He could also be worried that you’re going to challenge him for his position,” Tempest pointed out.

Alex tapped her on her nose gently. “Give the girl a gold star. He’s older and the rest of his pack has no one that could match him or us if we challenged and won. That scares him a bit. He’s not too trusting that we don’t want to upset his leadership. He even offered us his daughters and for us to be his right and left hand in the pack.”

“To which I hope you refused without sampling the merchandise.” Tempest raised her eyebrow in question.

“Of course. They were barely over eighteen. We’re not that hard up,” Dominic chuckled. “Taking you with us will make him see that we’re not after his pack. If they don’t mess with us, we won’t mess with them.”

She nodded. “Okay, so when are we going?”

“Tomorrow night, and wear something pretty. It’s a full moon so they like to party,” Alex said. “The pack grounds are in Acadia so we’re going to be gone overnight.”

“Okay, gotcha, overnight bag needed. So do I do girlie pretty or sexy pretty?” Tempest teased.

Dominic pulled her against him. “I vote sexy.”

She wrapped her arms around his neck. “Then that’s what you’ll get.”

As always, Alex came up behind them and she was sandwiched between their bodies. She loved the feel of both of them against her and desire sprouted in her belly as soon as they touched her.

“I think since you invaded my Zen space and all, you two should be penalized,” she murmured.

Alex laughed. “I wonder how that works.”

“Take your clothes off and find out,” she purred.

That was the last of their conversation and passion was the only thing on their minds. They barely made it to the braided carpet in her living room before they were coupled and she was taken by both men. Later, when they were back at the plantation house and dinner was done, her body still tingled from their afternoon lovemaking. They bought a huge three-D Notre Dame Cathedral puzzle and now they were working on it together on the large glass coffee table in the living room. Low music and the bluesy voice of Billie Holiday played in the background, and they each had a glass of wine in their hands. It was a relaxing night and they laughed and talked while they worked on the puzzle. Their relaxing night, however, was interrupted when they heard a loud engine outside being gunned repeatedly. Alex and Dominic gave a low growl, and she knew it meant trouble.

“Come out here with your witch whore, fuckers!”

“Really, Bubba?” Tempest got up and was heading towards the door angrily when Dominic stopped her.

“Stay inside. It’s time to end this. They are on our property,” he said firmly.

“I’ll shift. You stay human. A black wolf in these parts is way ominous,” Alex grinned. “You get to bruise your knuckles on the big idiot.”

“Do you have a shot gun?” Tempest demanded.

“Those lily livered fuckers ain’t coming out. We might
have to go in,” Bubba called loudly and laughed.

“Well, do you? Trust me. It’s not just Bubba out there. I’m going to be on the porch having your back.” Tempest glared at them. “Don’t even tell me to stay inside where it’s safe.”

“There’s a twelve gauge in the hall closet,” Alex sighed. “But you don’t come down those porch steps. Tempest, if you get hurt, they’ll be dead. It’s as simple as that. We won’t be able to control the wolf if they hurt you.”

  “Okay, I understand,” she nodded.

Alex took off his jeans and soon he was the magnificent black wolf. Dominic let him out through the back door and then told Tempest, “You come outside a few minutes after me, sweetheart. I need to assess the situation first.”

He walked out and left the door cracked open. She got the gun from the hallway closet and made sure it was loaded. Tempest went back to the door so she could hear the conversation. On impulse, she ran back to get her cell phone and dialed the number to the sheriff’s office. She’d had enough trouble at her home in the past that she had kept the number in the contact list. Rose Muller was the dispatcher and one of the few decent people in Cormina. When Tempest explained the situation, she promised to have the sheriff and deputies out to the plantation immediately. She actually said she would put her foot in their asses if they didn’t move fast enough. Tempest thanked her, dropped the phone on the sofa and moved back to the door to watch the backs of her mates.

Bubba jumped off the back of the truck; he was holding a can of beer as usual. “Look at you acting like you’re the lord of the fucking plantation. Is that why you’re fucking Tempest? To feel like you’re some kind of master?”

“I would watch what you’re saying, Bubba. Your racism might get you in some serious trouble,” Dominic said mildly. “While you’re at it, how about getting off our property before you get hurt.”

“Who’s going to hurt us, huh?” Bubba sneered as his three friends came to stand behind him. “Your buddy’s not even here.”

“No, but this friend is and he has bigger teeth,” Dominic said.

Tempest grinned when Alex walked out of the darkness and a snarl pulled his lips back from his sharp canines. She saw two of Bubba’s men back up in fear at the big, ominous wolf.

“What the fuck? There are no wolves in Louisiana,” Bubba’s best friend Joe said and there was a tremor in his voice.

“Who said he’s a wolf?” Dominic came down the steps and stood next to the wolf. “He’s really well trained and friendly until someone comes on our property acting like an ass. So I’d turn around and leave. Now.”

“Fuck you. You can’t make me do nothin',” Bubba shouted.

That’s my cue, Tempest thought as she stepped out and the sound of her cocking the shotgun filled the night. “But I can shoot your leg off and we’d be within our rights. I think Lorna-Sue can do way better than you, especially if I shoot high enough to clip the twig between your legs.” Tempest made sure she aimed her gun lower so he knew exactly what she meant.

“Oh, you won’t have to do that, honey. He’ll be on the ground and unconscious long before that,” Dominic said cheerfully. “I can see that you’re not going to leave, so how about you just come at me and let’s get this over with?” He sighed and called them forward curtly. “Come on, come on, we don’t have all night. Kick my ass or whatever it is you think you can do.”

Bubba cussed and dropped the beer he was holding to rush Dominic. Alex snarled and jumped at the closest man. When his teeth sunk into the man’s arm, he screamed and tried to shake Alex off. There was no way that was going to happen. Alex was a massive muscled specimen of a wolf. One of the others tried to pull a gun from the waist of his pants and it went off. Tempest wanted to laugh as he fell, grabbing at his leg, knowing the idiot had shot himself. Dominic was holding his own against Bubba who wasn’t the best at finessing a fight, even when he wasn’t drunk. He thought his weight would be an asset, but Dominic used it against him. One good punch into his midsection had the big goof retching and Dominic gave him a knee to the face knocking him back.

“That took care of my anger towards you,” said Dominic. “Now this is for Tempest and all you’ve put her through.” He hauled Bubba up by the shirt and Tempest could almost see the delight in Dominic as he punched Bubba repeatedly.

“Dominic, no more. He’s down. They all are,” Tempest said. “Alex, I said stop. The cops will be here soon. Get in here!”

Bright golden eyes gazed at her before the black wolf stepped back with a disgusted noise and moved back into the darkness. She saw the flashing lights of police cruisers coming up the gravel road just as Alex joined her on the patio, now back in his jeans. Dominic was busy lining up their assailants against the truck when the cruisers came to a stop. In the end, Bubba and his buddies were arrested. The one with the dog bite and the one who had shot himself were taken by ambulance to the hospital in the neighboring town. Cormina boasted a doctor’s office, but serious injuries had to go elsewhere.

“Where’s the big dog that guy’s screaming about?” Sheriff Dillard asked Dominic.

“Max is around somewhere. He’s very friendly, but these guys came on the property, and he will protect what’s his,” Dominic replied.

“Well, keep him out here. If we see him in town, he gets shot,” the sheriff said.

“I’m sure that won’t be an issue,” Dominic said coldly. “I would look at the idiots you have lurking on your streets, like those who try to hurt a defenseless woman before you go about shooting animals. I will be very upset if anything happens to anyone in my family.”

The sheriff looked at Dominic and then turned to Tempest. “So you’re living with these two now, Tempest? Your parents raised you better than that.”

“How can you speak for my parents? You people did nothing but look down on us and called my momma a witch. You had my daddy put in jail for some trumped up charge and you let Bubba’s daddy beat him up,” Tempest said. “How dare you tell me what they would like and not like. You’re just as dirty as the ones you just put in handcuffs except you wear a badge. Yeah, I live with them. I share a bed with them too. These two are one hundred and twenty percent better than you or anyone in this town who decided we were outcasts just because we are a little bit different. So keep your comments to yourself, Sheriff, and do your damned job. Take the trash out.”

“Well said, darling.” Alex took her hand. “I think we’ll be talking to our lawyer next week anyway. I see civil suit, class action suits and a bunch of other things we have to talk to him about.” He gave the sheriff a cold stare. “I didn’t think that even in Cormina they’d be so stupid as to have to face criminal action or be taken out of office.”

Tempest saw the man she knew all her life as the law in Cormina visibly gulp. Without a word, he walked away and got into the cruiser. All three of them sat on the bottom step and watched as Bubba’s truck was loaded up on a tow truck and driven away. Dominic went inside and came back with three beers and they sat silent for a while.

  “I feel good,” Alex sighed.

Tempest laughed. “You get to sink your teeth into a few guys and you look like the cat that ate the cream.”

“Tell me that didn’t feel good to give the sheriff his just desserts,” Dominic grinned.

She nodded. “True, and now he thinks that you’re going to sue him and get his job taken away for corruption.”

Alex sighed and stood. “C’est la vie. Now, let’s go inside and get cleaned up. We have a trip tomorrow and after all this, I need some sleep.”

“Not to mention she wore us out this afternoon.” Dominic lifted her as if she weighed nothing and carried her into the house. “You know, everyone in town is going to know you’re shacking up with two men.”

“Who cares? Half of them will be secretly jealous and the other half will get off talking about the deviant behavior we’re up to at the old plantation house.” Tempest winked. “There will be chains and choke collars and all ki
nds of sexual implements described when they tell their stories about us.”

“Note to self: buy some sex toys,” Alex said as they headed up the stairs.

Tempest squealed as they stripped her in the bathroom and all three of them got in the shower. Their playfulness took on a new edge as hands caressed her in intimate places and desire became the focus of their thoughts.

“But you know what? I don’t care what anyone thinks because you both are mine and there isn’t a damn thing anyone can do about it.” She gasped as Alex cupped her breasts and took one of her nipples in his mouth and Dominic did the same to the other breast. She let all her thoughts fade away as they awakened her body with passion. Nothing in Cormina beyond their doors was worth another thought.
