Straight Up Page 11

by J. S. Finley

He was shaking, his body humming with desire as they loved on each other. Brent kissed his way up Jake’s chest and trapped their cocks between them. He’d never considered there were so many ways to make love. This wasn’t an act; it was an offering of love.

They were moving together, Brent rocking against him as though he was the only person who mattered. Jake’s head spun as he met Brent’s thrusts, his body humming with excitement.

  “I need you,” Jake growled.

Brent lifted up on his hands and stared down into Jake’s eyes. “I’m yours.”

They were still rocking together, their bodies slick with sweat. He loved how Brent moved. They were made for each other. Brent belonged with him. They were supposed to be together. He ground his hips against Brent’s, taking them both to heaven. The slide of his body against his lover’s made him shudder with pleasure.

His orgasm ripped through him. He cried out, unable to stay quiet. His fingers tightened on Brent’s shoulders as he held on for dear life. After he spun back to earth, he felt Brent’s ragged breath against his neck.

Sounds in the house came back to him, and he sighed, wishing they had more time here. There would never be enough time with these men. He needed Brent with him, but he also needed these men in his life.

Thomas called out to Lane, then Clay yelled outside. His heart squeezed and he sought out Jake’s gaze.

“Why does this week have to end?” Jake asked.

Brent sniffed and wiped his eyes. “I’ll be in Atlanta as soon as I can.”

“I can’t wait.” Jake cupped Brent’s cheeks and stared into his gorgeous eyes. “I’ll miss you.”

He wanted to stay or throw a fit and make Brent come home with him, but he knew throwing a fit wouldn't change the final outcome. They had to head home. Both of them had responsibilities, and Brent always followed through.

“I can’t stand leaving you,” Jake whispered.

“I feel the same way. But we’ll be back together soon.”

Tears burned his eyes. He was going to cry over a guy. “I’ll miss you every second we’re apart.”

They couldn’t hide in this room forever, and the other guys were getting ready to leave. It was a shame they couldn’t wait any longer to leave. Though he didn’t want this weekend to end, staying here forever wasn’t a real option.

He showered with Brent then dressed. Depression swirled around them. When they made it downstairs, they found the guys cleaning the kitchen and packing their bags, but the jovial atmosphere they’d had for the last week was gone. When he passed by Thomas, the guy pulled him into a hug.

Thomas squeezed him tight. “Keep in touch. I want to have updates.”

  “Sure,” Jake said.

“We’re going to have to call more,” Clay said behind them.

Jake looked around the group, emotions almost overwhelming him. “I promise to call you. We should Skype.”

“You set up the first one,” Thomas said.

  Jake nodded. “I will.”

He had a plan and hoped it would work. There was no way he would live without these men in his life. They were all busy with their jobs, trying to make it in the world, but they all lived in the eastern time zone. They could come up with some regular schedule to allow most of them to be on the call. Somehow, he would keep them together, growing their friendship, and he wouldn’t let it die. The relationships they had were too important.

When it came time to leave, his throat closed with emotions. The guys gave him and Brent a moment of privacy, which was great, but was not nearly enough time. Tears spilled down his cheeks as he hugged his lover.

“Hey, I’ll be in Atlanta sooner than you think,” Brent said.

Jake felt as though a pit had opened up and taken his heart. “I can’t say goodbye.”

Brent held him close, stroking his back. “I swear I’ll be there soon. We’ll be together, and nothing will keep us apart.”

“Why is this so hard?” Jake felt like his soul was being ripped apart.

“Honey, I’m not leaving you. We’re together. Nothing is going to keep me from moving to Atlanta with you.”

Jake nodded, but the ache in his heart didn’t lessen. The rest of the goodbyes were difficult. Tears were shed by every single one of them, and Jake was having a hard time letting go. Driving away from the place where he’d found paradise was one of the toughest things he’d ever done.

Every mile felt like he was getting more and more lost, even though he was going back to a city he was familiar with. The drive didn’t take long, but it broke his heart. Brent was still on the road so he didn’t call though he wanted to. He wanted to tell Brent to come to his place. They would figure out a way to get his stuff to Atlanta. He knew him too well to think he would leave anything behind in Tampa without finishing there first.

Minutes before he stretched out in bed, Jake received a text from Brent saying he had made it home. He called without even thinking. When Brent answered, he sighed as tears streamed down his face.

“I miss you,” Jake choked out, unsure why his emotions were so unstable.

“I miss you too. I’m turning in my notice for this apartment tomorrow. I’ll start packing in the evenings once I’m done with work. I have a business trip in two weeks, and then I think I’ll be able to move.”

“So you’ll be here in how many days?”

  “Eighteen.”

He blew out a breath. “Thank God. I’m going to go crazy missing you before then.”

“I know. Same here. It will go faster than you think. We’ll be together and then we’ll never be apart for long.”

The promise from Brent sounded like heaven. He needed him more than he’d ever needed anyone. Though he was tired, he stayed on the phone, chatting about little things like how Brent hated going to the Laundromat and wasn’t looking forward to taking care of the clothes he’d worn on the trip.

“I like the way they smell because it reminds me of you,” Brent said.

“I have a washer and dryer.”

“Rub it in,” Brent laughed. “You know that’s not why I’m moving in with you, but it is an incentive.”

Jake laughed. “Okay, it isn’t actually a washer and dryer in my place. The apartment’s laundry room is right next to my unit, and I can see my door from the laundry room.”

Brent roared with laughter. Jake chuckled then checked the time; it was close to eleven. He had an early meeting in the morning, and he needed to get some sleep.

“I’ve got to get to bed. I don’t want to stop talking to you,” Brent said.

“Same here. I’ll call you tomorrow evening. I have a late meeting, but I’ll be done by six.”

“I miss you already,” Brent said.

  “I miss you too.”

He hung up, wishing he didn’t have work or have anything else taking up his time. All he wanted to do was spend hours with Brent, wrapped in his arms. It wasn’t easy being apart.

Brent had been right, the days passed quickly. He worked, slept, and ate. When he wasn’t busy, he spent his spare time at the gym.

He set up a Skype call, and Lane, Thomas, Clay, and Brent were on it. They had another one scheduled in two weeks, and by then, Brent would be with him in Atlanta. His office holiday party was scheduled for the week Brent arrived, and he was excited to be able to take his boyfriend and introduce him to the people he worked with.

One thing he wasn’t ready for was cleaning up the place before Brent arrived. He still hadn’t moved from the crappy apartment he’d lived in during college. Once Brent moved in, they would look for something nicer because this place was a rattrap. He tried to make it look better, but there wasn’t much he could do since he couldn’t paint, and he didn’t want to waste the money on this dump.

The day of Brent’s arrival, he left work right on time. He hadn’t told anyone about his new boyfriend, not because he wasn’t proud of him, it hadn’t come up in conversation with his coworkers.

  Brent t
exted him, stating he had made it to the city. Excitement zinged through him. He had stuff to make sandwiches since they would have to unload Brent’s trailer before they went to sleep.

Nervous as a cat about to have kittens, Jake paced around his small place until he saw Brent’s truck pulling a small trailer. Excitement filled him as he raced out, stopping beside the truck, waiting for Brent to exit the vehicle. He’d waited so long for this moment, and he couldn’t contain himself now that it was here.

Brent opened the door to his truck and stepped out, reaching for Jake and pulling him in for a hug. The physical relief made Jake’s knees weak. His eyes were full of tears, but he fought them, trying not to cry. Neither of them spoke as they hugged.

Brent stepped away first, grabbing his bag from the truck. He handed a smaller bag to Jake, and they headed into Jake’s apartment. Before the door was closed, Brent was on him, kissing him, his tongue demanding entrance while his hands roved over Jake’s body.

The kiss ended abruptly, and Brent dropped to his knees, unbuttoning then unzipping Jake’s pants. His cock was in Brent’s mouth before he could get a word out. It felt amazing to have his lover sucking him. He missed having Brent with him, but he also missed the physical contact of being with someone.

Brent was rocking his world, sucking and licking, touching him in all the right places. He grabbed Brent by the hair and pulled his head back, removing his cock from Brent’s mouth before he covered his lover’s lips with a deep kiss.

When the kiss ended, Brent stood and pressed him up against the door. “I missed you so much.”

  “I’m glad you’re here.”

Brent pulled his own cock out and grabbed Jake’s too, stroking them both together. Being jacked by Brent felt amazing. But being jacked while Brent was doing his own cock was heaven. He leaned his head back and let Brent take him higher. The way his man touched him was amazing and beautiful, leaving him wanting more.

“I missed you,” Brent ground out.

  “So good.”

Brent leaned in close, his lips by Jake’s ear. He nipped and kissed, tugging on Jake’s earlobe with his teeth. They were both panting, their bodies rocking together. He arched in hard, holding his body close to Brent’s as he came.

They were together again, and this time, he wasn’t going to allow anything to split them up. He held on tight, not letting go as Brent came, his seed spilling down his own hand.

Their lips brushed together, and Brent pulled back, the smile on his face huge.

  “I’m glad I’m here.”

His eyes burned with tears and he was going to cry. He swiped at his eyes as he fought for composure. “It’s so good to have you here.”

Brent kissed his cheek then stepped away. “Let me wash up then we can unload my things and grab something to eat.”

  “I have stuff for sandwiches.”

“Good, we won’t have to leave, and I can hold you.”

Jake caught up to Brent and held onto him from behind as he washed his hands. “I can’t believe you’re here.”

Their gazes met in the mirror. “It feels good.”

“I may not let you go.”

Brent laughed and turned, wrapping his arms tight around Jake. “I’m yours, my love.”

“It feels good being right here.”

“We do need to take care of a few things.”

“I know; I need a little bit more hug time.”

Brent kissed the top of his head and held on. They were together again, and Jake felt better than he had since leaving Tennessee. He could live forever here as long as he had Brent.

After unloading the trailer and parking it at the back of the lot, he and Brent made sandwiches, eating at his little table as they stared at each other. They had switched beds, tossing Jake’s old twin mattress in the dumpster at the back of the lot. Once they were done with their tasks of storing Brent’s things, they headed to bed.

Brent stripped off his shirt and Jake watched, mesmerized by his beauty. He moved close and let his lips trail over Brent’s chest to his belly then back up to his neck. They finished stripping and flopped down on the new, bigger bed. He stretched out then yelped when Brent started tickling him. They rolled around for a bit before he pinned Brent below him and delivered a scorching kiss. He wanted more and pulled up Brent’s knee so he could rub his cock over his lover’s ass.

Their gazes met as he grazed his dick over the puckered opening. Brent bit his lower lip as he arched up. It felt perfect and he knew what he wanted. Jake’s breathing grew heavier as his desire increased. He was going to slide into Brent, which made him buzz with excitement.

“Let me do this,” Jake whispered.

Brent nodded, and Jake reached for the condoms and lube he’d bought a few days earlier. The thought of sliding into Brent was too much, and his hands started shaking. Brent had to help him roll on the condom and drizzle lube on his cock then spread the slick lube. Anticipation increased as he lined up. Everything was moving so fast. He wanted this more than anything but he was nervous.

Brent lifted his hips a little, and Jake slipped in. Intense heat rolled over him. He gasped as he sank in deeper. The heat was amazing, and the tightness was more than he’d expected. He was breathing hard, his heart hammering as he tried to not lose it so quickly he would come before he was all the way in.

Being like this with Brent was so freaking amazing he wanted to scream. His mind fuzzed as he pushed in deeper, trying to hold himself together. Brent looked so fucking beautiful beneath him, he had to pause to memorize the look on Brent’s face. His head was thrown back and his mouth was open, pleasure rolled across his features. Then Brent’s gaze met his, drilling into him.

  “Jake, so good,” Brent murmured.

He lost his mind, pumping his hips fast. He couldn’t control his body as he slammed in hard. Stars exploded behind his eyes as his body pulsed deep inside his lover. He rested his head on Brent’s shoulder, only moving a little when Brent reached between them and jacked himself, his body jerking as he came.

Jake didn’t want to pull out, but he was growing soft. When he left Brent’s heat, he wanted the connection back immediately. He dropped to the mattress beside Brent, realizing his whole world had changed. Maybe he’d never found a woman he was serious about because Brent was the only one for him.

  “That was amazing,” Jake said.

  Brent chuckled. “It was.”

“Did you really enjoy it? Was it too painful?”

Brent met his gaze and nodded. “I really did enjoy you sliding in me. I loved being connected to you. Having you inside of me, your body filling me, was amazing.”

  “It’s weird.”

  “What?” Brent asked.

“That you’re the one for me. I never found a woman who ever made me feel like you do.”

Brent’s hand roved over Jake’s chest and he shivered. Once again he was amazed at how good it felt being with Brent. He had found something few others ever discovered.

“We’re supposed to be together,” Brent said.

Jake’s lips curved up. “We are, and I love you for being with me.”

“You know I’ve loved you for a long time, and I’m falling in love with you every day.”

Brent’s lips slid along his, and he sighed. This was the perfect relationship for him. He was ready for their life together. It seemed like everything was perfect and nothing would go wrong.

After cleaning up, he snuggled with his lover, holding him close. Sleep came easy, and he was surprised to wake rested with Brent still in bed next to him. He switched off his alarm clock and slid from between the covers, not waking Brent. The bathroom light was blinding and made him want to shut it off and head back to bed. Work called, so he rinsed his mouth and thought about how awesome it was to have someone special in his life.

“Hey babe,” Brent said as he stepped into the bathroom and grabbed the mouthwash.

“Hey.” Jake turned on the water and ste
pped into the shower. His sexy roommate joined him, giving him a long kiss before grabbing the soap, making sure all of Jake was clean. He enjoyed the early morning jack-off but wished he didn’t have to leave the apartment because all he wanted was to stay in bed with Brent.

After they finished washing, Jake poured them both cups of coffee and put a bagel in the toaster.

“What are you doing today?” Jake asked.

“I have to return the trailer, then I have a bit of email to work through.”

“Do you want to meet me at my office for lunch? I’m open at one today.”

“Sure, text me the address and I’ll be there.”

  “Awesome.”

Jake hated leaving the apartment, but he didn’t have any choice. He started working through his email the minute he arrived in his office, trying to clear any problems early in the day so he could leave work on time. New tasks popped up and kept him hopping until Brent arrived at one. They headed over to a burger place around the corner from his office. Having Brent with him was amazing. It felt good being with him, seeing Brent, having him close. He knew the intense bubbling excitement would wear off, but he would be happy with Brent forever.

After they finished with lunch, Brent walked him back to his office, stopping outside of the building. They both looked around and Jake didn’t see anyone. He leaned in and brushed his lips over Brent’s. The kiss was quick. He stepped back but kept his hand on his lover.

“Tonight, I’ll make something special,” Brent said.

Warmth spread through Jake. “You don’t have to.”

“I want to, and I have some time. I went through my emails and I’m ahead on my work.”

Jake smiled and nodded as he took Brent’s hand, playing with his fingers. He never thought he would have something like this. “That’s good.”

“It is. I’m glad I’m here. The last few weeks without you were painful.”

“I missed you too. Thank you for cooking for us.” Jake leaned in and kissed him again. His heart rate sped up, and he had to force his dick to stay down. He pulled away on a growl, wishing they could head back to their apartment and spend the afternoon rolling around naked.
