Put her clothes on? Well this made a change. Perhaps he wanted to take them off again….
He got up and put on his shorts and disappeared inside their suite. He got his special champagne order out of the cooler and opened it and poured them both a glass and put the glasses on the small table next to the bed. Then he got his little something out of his bedside drawer and put it in his shorts pocket.
He was so excited he could hardly think straight and this had nothing to do with sex for once.
He took a deep breath and called her in. She wandered inside in her pretty pink floral bikini and he passed her a glass of the champagne. She was just gorgeous… even more gorgeous than ever… especially after what she’d just done to him.
Her lips curled up in a smile. ”Oh I see… getting a taste for drinking are you?” She took a large sip and delighted in the fizzing bubbles going up her nose and whizzing around her mouth.
“No, I just want to sweeten up your mouth and set the mood honey. Come here, sit down on the bed and close your eyes, I’m going to do something real nice.”
She sat down and closed her eyes. She just loved his nice surprises with a passion. He knelt down at her feet, took the glass from her hand, opened her palm and placed a small white box on it.
“Right. You can open your eyes now.”
She opened them and looked at box in her hand and then up at him, kneeling on the floor in front of her. Her heart was suddenly thumping like crazy. Her eyes couldn’t get any wider as she thought about what might be going on…
“Dev…?”
“Open it then”
She opened it and there sat a large diamond and sapphire ring surrounded by white velvet.
“Oh God!” She was in love with it.
“It reminded me of you Ells. The sapphires are the same color blue as your eyes.”
“Devy it’s just so beautiful. Can I put it on?”
“No, not yet. You have to answer my question first”
Oh my God! He wasn’t going to… was he?
Her heart was about to give out with all the thumping it was doing. Her mouth was just so dry. She really was going to faint. She’d just about stopped breathing too.
He picked up her other hand between the two of his.
“Want to marry me baby?” He was a hundred per cent sure she would say yes…. maybe?
“Yes!” She squeaked as loudly as her dry mouth would allow.
“You don’t want to think about it for a second then? Keep me hanging in suspense?” He teased with a massive smile on his face. His heart was fit to burst with love for her right now.
“No!” She squeaked again.
“That’s good, let me put the ring on then.”
She held out her finger for it with a shaky hand. He slipped it on with a shakier one. They had a long very passionate kiss.
He couldn’t be happier if he’d been crowned MMA star of all time and won the biggest jackpot ever at Caesars Palace casino. His heart soared up to the bright blue skies above Antigua, out of Earth’s orbit and beyond.
“I’m going to love you forever starting right now” She said through her cloud of love as he handed her back the glass of champagne. She took a great big gulp to calm her wonderfully frazzled nerves, then another and suddenly she’d drunk the lot, and so had he. They lay down on the bed together as a champagne buzz made it’s way through their loved up newly engaged brains.
She pressed herself tightly against his far too wondrous person… looking into his very beautiful treacle brown eyes. She was thinking.
“Ells, you’ve got that naughty look on your face. Are you thinking up some bad things again?”
