Alien General's Chosen: SciFi Alien Romance (Brion Brides) Page 21

by Vi Voxley

Adapting to her new life mostly meant writing songs again. She was a singer; everything came by a melody to her. To her absolute joy, she found that the huge dark echoing rooms of the Unbroken were amazing for her inspiration. Whistling to herself quietly, with all other senses but hearing dulled, inspiration flowed freely.

And now she was back on Briolina, ready to start her concerts again. They told her that her first scheduled performance had been booked faster than any other. Ever. That was to be expected, of course.

News of her being human had traveled so fast it nearly defied possibility. If possible, she was more loved and more sought after than before. Being a human, being Faren's gesha, it made her exotic and interesting in ways no one could compete with. Everyone wanted to know what the new Leiya would have to say.

Not to mention, of course, that they wanted to hear what she had to say about Faren.

Just like her friends, sitting there on the grass, or what remained or showed of it.

  “Roven,” she called.

The big warrior thumped over to her, already talking before she could complain.

“I know, my lady,” he said. “I’ll order them away from the grass. But you have to let me be near then.”

  “That’s fine,” Leiya said, smiling.

Of course it was a bit bothersome to always be guarded like that, but she understood Faren’s concern. After a while, the general had promised, the safety measures could be let up a bit, but in the meantime she’d have to manage.

She wondered how they’d let her on the stage. With Roven standing behind her with a shield? Leiya smiled. She considered that to be completely in the realm of possibility.

“Tell them it will greatly upset the General if they don’t give me space,” she called to Roven, who barked a laugh in response.

Then he went on his way to drive her guard unit a bit further away from her parents’ house.

That suggestion always worked magic, it seemed. Leiya felt kind of bad for using it, knowing how badly all warriors wanted to serve their generals well, but it was the only way to counter their strict orders.

“I can’t believe you just said that,” Aya said.

“I still can’t believe you’re really Faren’s gesha,” said Iloya.

Leiya waited a moment, holding their attention, before she broke down.

“I know!” she said. “It’s amazing and not what you think it would be like, but I’m still feeling like I stole Iloya’s dream life.”

  They both laughed with her.

“Oh gods, no, dear,” Iloya said. “He’s all yours, he terrifies me.”

“He terrifies me too,” Leiya admitted, giggling. “I think he even scares Diego a bit.”

“I can’t believe you said that either,” Aya cut in. “You’re on such casual terms with two of the most feared men in the galaxy. Gods, Leiya – Faren. What is it even like?”

What was it like? Leiya knew it wasn’t a real question. No one really asked about someone else’s binding or intimate details about the fated couple’s life, but they wanted her general impression. Even that seemed like too much to give them. Everything they were, they were to each other. Leiya searched for words that would convey her happiness, while saying nothing in particular.

“Amazing,” she repeated at last, smiling.

They both fell quiet for a bit, just taking a second to be happy for her. There was a new reception coming up, said to be the biggest ever – once again Leiya and Faren were to blame. If a bloody Brion general and Briolina’s brightest star could go and meet there, anyone could. So Iloya and Aya were naturally hoping to find their gerions there too, as they told her.

“After yours, no story would ever come close,” Aya said, laughing.

“I mean, I remember it like it was yesterday. You climbing on that table, falling straight into his lap. And afterward… we were so worried about you. Miren was almost ready to come after you.”

Leiya was deeply thankful her childhood friend – and admirer – had decided against that. She didn’t know if she could have stopped Faren a second time.

“I sometimes still can’t believe it myself,” she admitted.

There was something in those words that made her friends finally spill every question they’d been trying very hard to hold back. Leiya sat, and listened, and smiled to herself, mostly because some of them seemed so surreal, if only she hadn’t asked quite a few of them from Faren herself.

Their lives truly were shrouded in mystery, weren’t they? She knew now, or at least guessed at knowing, how Faren felt with all the rumors about him. The story of her own adventure had gotten so out of hand she barely recognized herself in the middle of it.

“Did you really kill a warrior?” – “What!? No! Have you guys met me before?”

“They say Faren executed all of Senator Primen’s men before your eyes. Did that really happen?” – “Of course not. Who comes up with these things?”

“But he killed all of them?” – “Yes, that happened. That happens a lot with him.”

“Does he really drink blood?” – “No.”

  “Are you sure?” – “Absolutely.”

“How can you be absolutely sure? Maybe he doesn’t want you to see?” – “I’m his gesha.”

“Ugh, can you imagine if he kissed you after that. Does he kiss you?” – “I’m. His. Gesha.”

“Oh gods, Leiya. I mean, Faren. You sleep in his bed.” – “…”

It went on like that for a good while. Leiya knew half the questions were joking and the other half was just confirming what her friends already knew to be false, because they weren’t idiots. She let them babble and pour out all of their curiosity, because it was a part of being home.

And Leiya really was home, she didn't know anymore how she could have ever doubted that. Briolina was her home and all the Brions her family. Of all of them, she’d missed her friends the most up on the Unbroken, and the easy back-and-forth they had. Not to say she didn’t also enjoy how it ended.

“I still think you’re bloody brave,” Aya said at last.

“I mean, bindings and all, I don’t know if I could have done it. Been with Faren I mean. Can you imagine it? I mean, I’d get if Iloya…”

“I can imagine it, yes,” Leiya said. “I’ve been present on occasions. Why do you wonder about my gerion?”

“It’s friendly curiosity,” Iloya supported Aya, smiling mischievously.

“And he still scares the air out of my lungs, but damn, Leiya. A general has to have the body of a god. For that I could definitely live with a few quirks.”

  “Mm,” Leiya said.

“Sorry,” Iloya hastened to say. “I know he’s yours. I’m merely joking.”

“I know,” Leiya said and damn, the Brion general’s trademark predatory smile was contagious, because it dragged the corners of her lips nearly to her ears.

“I know. I hope my gerion understands the humor too.”

Aya and Iloya turned around so fast they almost rolled over.

A part of Leiya pitied them. Faren had explained some warrior tactics to her, mostly those that didn’t have anything to do with someone bleeding. And he talked about the purposeful misconceptions that the Brion warriors all carefully kept alive. One of them was that all Brion warriors were terribly loud and always announced their presence very vividly. When in truth they were very, very silent.

To her immense relief, it seemed they’d caught Faren on a good day. The look in the general’s eyes was clearly amusement to her expert gaze, but she wasn’t certain if her friends could read him like she could. Probably not, considering they’d both frozen on the grass, staring up at him like he was death incarnate. To quite a few in the galaxy, he was.

  And Leiya was his gesha.

“Time for the concert?” she asked him.

Faren nodded. Leiya got up, shaking her dress clean – she was so glad she’d decided against wearing her costume to her meet-up with her friends. It would have gotte
n dirty.

“I’m sorry, I have to run now,” she told them, hoping they’d find their tongues at some point – and forgiveness in their hearts for her not warning them.

  “I’ll see you guys around.”

With most of his duties needing him aboard the Unbroken, Leiya knew Faren wouldn’t be able to be at all her concerts. He didn’t need to be anyway, but he had wanted to be at the first. After a few it was bound to get boring, even if he did love her voice.

Although he loved her voice more as it was now, before her first concert. They were in the shuttle on its way to the concert site. And while Leiya had sworn she’d keep her voice to do her best at her performance, that was definitely worth it.

The wall of the familiar shuttle was cold and hard against her back, the ripped dress hanging from her waist. Faren was hot and hard against her chest, kissing her like they hadn’t seen each other in years instead of a few days. But even a few days were too much for a fated couple. Leiya was thankful for her own shuttle that could take her up to the Unbroken any time her longing for her gerion got too painful to tolerate.

So glad I didn’t put the costume dress on beforehand, she thought once more.

It would have been an unfortunate loss. It really was a gorgeous dress, but she wouldn’t have given it a second thought. Leiya wasn’t about to admit or share that with anyone but Faren, but the feel of his powerful hands pressing her against the shuttle wall, tearing the obstructing clothes away like they were made of paper… It was a thrill, a passion unlike anything else in her whole life.

No concert, no audience, no nothing ever came close to the feel of him. His huge cock stiff and throbbing in need inside her, pounding her as hard as he knew she needed it. She bit into his shoulder to silence her cries, unwilling to let the pilot hear. Of course she had to be the only woman alive whose voice could be heard over the roar of a shuttle engine.

Faren probably wouldn’t have minded. In all likelihood, Leiya thought, he’d have taken it as a compliment.

She did scream when she came, feeling Faren follow her over the edge of pleasure, reveled in the way he held them together a long moment. His heavy breathing on her neck tickled, making Leiya giggle.

“I really hope I have a spare dress around here somewhere,” she said, breathless herself.

Faren smirked. Leiya glared in turn. A quick search – practically naked – yielded the dress she’d set aside for situations quite like this. While she was searching, Faren just looked at her with that same smirk playing on his lips, because she was, after all, practically naked.

She knew they’d arrived when thousands and thousands of her fans screamed over the shuttle engine. The concert wouldn’t begin for a while yet, she had to shower and dress first, but it was amazing to hear how many were already there.

The shuttle landed under the stage, and Faren caught her in his arms for a leaving kiss. She smiled into it.

  “Be ready,” she said.

“For what?” Faren asked, and it was delightful to see the flicker of apprehension in his eyes. He’d asked her very explicitly not to include him in any songs. It didn’t need to be said. Leiya had no intention of sharing their life with anyone else.

“If I fall off the stage, you’ll have to catch me.”

The general kissed her in response.

  “I will,” he promised.

Leiya believed him. She knew he’d always be there to catch her. That night and on every other night that followed.

When he turned to leave, her treacherous mouth that wanted her to be late for her own concert called,

“Or you can join me in the shower?”

  ALIEN GENERAL’S FATED

"What are you doing?" she asked. "I did not give you permission."

"You admitted you wanted me," Ryden said.

"That is not the same thing as saying yes to this madness! I only met you..."

She kept backing further into her rooms. Ryden followed her slowly, almost menacingly, keeping his beautiful prey in sights. When he was in her quarters, he signaled the doors to shut and lock behind him. The ambassador was giving him an astonished look, but he had to wonder if she had noticed the disparity between her actions and her words.

  "You're not saying no either."

The little Terran looked like she wanted to say something about that, but no words came from her lips. It might have had something to do with the fact that Ryden had walked up to her slowly and purposefully, pulling her hands away from where they tried to cover her again.

When he ran his hands over her body at last, Aria seemed to snap out of a daze. She backed away, glaring at him.

"You are unbelievable, General," she said, but her voice was shaking at bit.

From her tone, he took it wasn't a compliment. It only served to excite him more, the smirk back on his lips. He liked his women with a bit of spirit. Aria was showing she wasn't afraid of him, except in the moments where she was supposed to be. He was very pleased with that.

"Here we are, right in the middle of a galactic war," she went on, pulling the robe tighter around herself, putting distance between them that Ryden would have rather not had. "And you think it is okay to walk in here and propose that we fuck like nothing out of the ordinary is going on!"
