Terri was drinking him in with her eyes.
“How did you get tan all over?” Her voice was a bit dreamy and far away.
He laid his hands on her bare arms. “Are you sure you’re thinking clearly? This can wait.”
Terri wagged a finger at him. “Oh, no, you don’t. Every time we get close, we are interrupted. Not this time. I am totally clear headed.” She took a deep breath and let her eyes close. “Mmmmm. I want to soap you all over.”
Russ grinned. He found her shower gel on the window sill and poured some into her hands. It smelled like fruit. He didn’t care.
Terri let her hands play with the soap against his muscles. She made suds until his entire torso was covered.
Russ took her hands at last and turned her around to face away from him. He squeezed more fruity gel onto her shoulders and did a gentle but thorough cleaning. “I’ll let you wash the sensitive areas,” he said. “When I get to that part, I want you lying down.”
His words sent a finger of delight shooting upward through her belly. “Okay, then, let’s get clean,” she babbled, “so I can lie down.”
He wrapped his arms around her, and she could tell he was ready for anything. She pressed backward experimentally, and he gasped with pleasure.
“Easy,” he murmured. “I am more than ready for you to be clean.”
Terri giggled again, then apologized. “Sorry.”
Russ grinned. “That’s okay. This is supposed to be fun, right?” He maneuvered them both so the shower would rinse off the soap. He took a few moments to tend to his own cleanliness, then reached for towels and wrapped them both in terry cloth.
A few moments of mutual drying left them clinging to each other in a deep kiss. Terri thought she could stay that way forever, naked at the North Rim, kissing the man who had saved her life over and over.
But Russ had plans that involved lying down, and Terri let him lead to her to the bed. He stripped the covers back with one hand and lowered her gently onto the clean sheets. The room was mellow with afternoon light, the shades closed, the door locked. Terri found herself breathing hard, as if she’d run a race. She glanced down as Russ straddled her thighs and aligned their bodies.
The sight of his manhood set fires deep inside her that she had never felt before. Russ took a moment to roll on a condom.
Without a conscious thought on Terri’s part, her knees fell open. Russ settled softly against her and nuzzled her breasts.
Terri squirmed beneath him, trying to line up her need with his erection.
“Easy,” he murmured. “We have all the time in the world.” But his dark eyes were lit with a fire of their own, and he began working his way down, laying a trail of wet kisses across her abdomen. When he reached the sandy triangle between her legs, he smiled. “A real blonde. What a treat.”
His breath was hot against her mound. Before she could prepare, his tongue slipped inside her.
“Oh, yes!” Terri arched toward him, and he took firm hold of her thighs.
“Soon,” he murmured. “Soon. I want to make sure you’re ready.”
Terri thought she’d die from the exquisite torment of his tongue against her most sensitive flesh. She made noises, urging him on. No coherent words would flow, but it didn’t matter. Her fingers curled in his dark, wavy hair, and she pulled him in closer, willing his tongue to go deeper, deeper.
At last Russ lifted his head and smiled at her. “I think you’re ready,” he purred.
He shifted his weight upward until their mouths locked in a kiss. Terri wrapped her arms around his neck, then ran her hands along his shoulders, then back around his neck. She wanted to touch him all over, and yet she wanted more. When she thought her chest would explode from lack of air, Russ separated from the kiss and pressed a hand between them, making sure his aim was true.
“Ready?” he whispered.
Terri gazed at him from beneath hooded lids. “Yes, please.” It was half word, half sob.
Russ pressed against her. She was slick and wet and ready, but he moved slowly. He pushed a third of the way in, and Terri cried out.
Then she turned her face away, apologizing again. “I’m sorry,” she whispered. “It’s been a long time.”
Russ cooed soft words of affection and lay another trail of kisses along her neck as she adjusted to the size of him. When she relaxed beneath him again, he spoke, his voice a deep, soothing baritone. “When you want more, pull me in.” He took one of her hands and guided it to his lower back.
Terri was overwhelmed with the compassion of his offer. Her heart was so full of love for him at that moment, she thought she would explode. She pressed against his back, and he gave her another inch. She pressed again, and he gave her more. At last she couldn’t wait any longer.
“Now! I need it now,” she cried.
Russ rumbled in her ear and pressed all the way in.
Terri arched against him and danced between his chest and the bed sheet.
Spurred on by her ardor, Russ began to thrust. He was careful at first, but when she showed no discomfort, he moved more quickly, letting his body find its own rhythm.
Terri clung to him one moment, then clawed at him the next. She wanted their lovemaking to last forever. She wanted him to pound into her right now. She wanted both. She wanted everything.
Terri’s song of delight filled the amber shadows of the cabin as Russ gave her what she wanted.
