“Very. Do you even want children?”
She smiled, her hand pressing against the place on his chest where his heard thundered. “I do. I’ve always wanted a family.”
He covered her hand with his. “Twins run in my family, you know.”
She licked her lips. “I’ve heard.”
He reached down and touched her belly. “I can’t lie, I like the idea of you getting pregnant with my baby.”
Her gaze narrowed. “I like the idea of building a life together. If that means we have a dozen sets of twins, then awesome, but—” She raised her index finger in the air. “I will be married before these babies arrive, I will have time to enjoy you before these babies arrive, and I will have time to make a mark as a manager before these babies arrive.”
He picked her up and she laughed as she cradled her arms and legs around him. “It’s going to be one hell of a ride.”
She kissed him. “One I plan to enjoy.”
