by Tracy Lorraine

“What are you doing?” I pant out as she stands.

“Now…Jackson,” she says, turning around and looking over her shoulder at me. “I don’t usually fuck a guy I’ve just met,” she continues as her hands come behind her back and unsnap her bra, “but you…there is something about you.” She stretches her arm out and drops her bra to the floor while she continues to look at me. “And I can’t describe what it is but, fuck, Jackson, I need you inside me…badly.” My heart rate that I was already struggling with is racing at such a pace I’m sure I could be about to have a heart attack, right here in front of this goddess, on my boss’ sofa. The thought of Molly and Ryan being in the house is a fleeting one, because Abbi slides her thumbs inside the waist band of her thong and slowly starts pulling it down her legs, bending over to give me one seriously impressive view. “Is that okay with you, Jackson?” Fuck, I love it when she says my name.

  “Uh…” What?

“Is it okay if I fuck you?”

“Uh huh…yeah.” Fuck, is that my voice?

Suddenly, she turns around and slowly, very slowly, walks my way. My fists clench at my sides as I try to resist the urge to reach out, grab her and impale her on top of me. She comes to a stop in front of me and runs her eyes over every inch of my skin, as if committing it to memory.

  “Condom, Jackson?”

I takes a few seconds for her words to register in my lust filled brain, but when they do, I whisper, “wallet…pocket,” and point in the general direction of my jeans that are still around my ankles.

Once she has found it, she rips it open with her teeth and pulls it out. I’m just about to reach up and take it off her when she takes my cock in her hands and rolls it on in one smooth motion like an expert. Once she’s happy, she lets go and settles herself, once again straddling my lap. Her lips come down to mine and my hands go to her hair. As our tongues collide, we both groan into each other’s mouths. She begins rubbing herself against me and I can’t take it any longer. She got me so close to the edge earlier; I need to be inside her too badly. I reach down and hold my cock up for her. She realises instantly what I’m doing, and lines herself up with me before ever so slowly dropping down until she is seated to the hilt.

“Fuck baby, you’re so fucking tight.”

“It’s been a while,” she whispers as she nips my ear, “and it’s been even longer since it’s been done properly.”

Challenge heard loud and clear, Abigail Evans!

My hands go to her hips and help support her as she begins to move. She lifts up until I’m almost out of her, before slamming back down. It makes my breath catch in my throat with surprise. She wasn’t joking when she said she wanted to fuck me. There’s nothing gentle about this!

Within minutes, she is contracting around me, and I know her release is close. I circle my hips when I am deep inside of her and I know I’ve hit the spot because she sucks a breath in through her teeth.

“Oh yeah, right there, oh yeah.” I reach up and cover her mouth with my hand, because if this is anything like last time, then she’s going to take the roof off! With one more thrust of my hips, she goes off, and the feel of her muscles clenching tight around me send me over with her. I try to swallow down my groan, but it’s a challenge. It feels like all my limbs are about to blow off with the intensity of my release.

Abbi flops her limp body forward onto me and we lie there panting as we come down from that incredible high. Now, I thought I’d had good sex, but fuck me, sex with this woman is like nothing I’ve ever had before. It’s fucking electric.

The sound of someone moving around upstairs gets us jumping into action. I quickly take the condom off and pull my boxers up, before ridding myself of my socks and jeans. I don’t care whose house I’m in; I am not sleeping in my jeans. Abbi grabs my shirt and pulls it over her head. She then immediately excuses herself and heads towards the cloakroom to clean herself up.

After disposing of the condom, discreetly I hope, I get myself laid out under the blanket on the sofa, anxiously awaiting her return. Fuck, I hope it’s not awkward.

  Abbi

I wake up again to the sound of Jax groaning next to me. I suddenly realise why when he thrusts his crotch up into my hand that seems to be cupping his hard dick - whoops! Luckily, I move it seconds before a nurse pops her head around the curtain.

“He shouldn’t be up there with you,” she chastises.

“Sorry, I was upset in the night. We must have fallen asleep,” I whisper, trying not to wake him.

The nurse has other ideas though, because she practically shouts back, “That’s okay, dear, but I think it’s time he got off, don’t you?” with a raise of her eyebrow. Maybe me moving my hand didn’t really matter, because the huge bulge he is currently sporting is apparently very obvious. “I’ll be back in a few minutes to check your vitals. Perhaps you could wake Sleeping Beauty before then?” She gives me a wicked smile before disappearing behind the curtain.

“Jax,” I say, while gently shoving his shoulder. “Jax.”

  “Umm, Abbi,” he groans.

“For fuck’s sake, Jax, stop having dirty dreams. We are in a hospital! Jax, wake up,” I say again, and shove him more forcefully.

“Yeah, what?” he asks, suddenly wide-awake.

“Having a nice dream, were we?” He looks over at me and actually blushes, bless him.

“Umm…yeah actually, very nice,” he says with a naughty smile. “How are you feeling, baby?”

“I’ve got the most horrific period pains known to man, but other than that, just tired. The nurse is coming back any minute. She wants you off the bed and, I think, a little less…excited!” I say, flicking my eyes down to his manhood.

“Brilliant!” is all he says as he flings his legs off the bed, stands up and stretches, making his t-shirt rise up.

“Whoa…hang on a minute, is that a six pack I see there, Mr. Parker? Has someone been working out?” I can’t help teasing him, or the smile that splits my face. I’m sure that in the state I’m in, my body shouldn’t be able to get worked up, but this man in front of me is like my drug. No matter how much I try, I’m totally addicted to him.

“Well, I’ve had to do something to blow off steam,” he says sadly, and I know him well enough to know exactly what he means.

“I’m sorry, Jax. I thought it was for the best.”

“You thought, as in, in the past? What do you think now, then?”

I’m just about to answer when the bloody nurse comes back in and faffs around. “I’m sorry, sir, but we need to check Ms. Evans over. She will be moved to the ward later. Visiting hours start at two. I suggest you return then. That will give you a chance to go home, shower and…you know…”

Okay, well that was kind of rude and inappropriate!

“Okay…well, I guess I’ll see you later then, Abs. I’ll let the others know you’re moving. I’m sure they’ll be here before long to check you’re okay. I’ll…uh…come back later, then,” he says, looking completely torn about having to leave me.

He leans forward and places a kiss to my forehead, which makes me want to burst into tears for some reason.

I manage to choke out an “Okay,” before he disappears behind the curtain. When I can no longer hear his footsteps, the dam breaks once again, and tears start pouring down my cheeks.

“Oh dear, it’s going to be okay. He’ll be back later. I’m guessing he’s your,” I watch her look down at my finger before continuing, “boyfriend?”

  “Yes…no…I don’t know. It’s a mess,” I get out between sobs.

The nurse, Anne, stays with me until I calm down, then goes about getting me sorted for the day. Apparently, there isn’t any rest for the wicked, because she has me up and in the shower in no time. She does let me sit in it though, which I’m grateful for. I’d be lying if I said I felt strong enough to stand for more than a minute or two. I do feel better after a shower, though - I didn’t quite appreciate just how grimy I felt after everything
yesterday.

It’s no longer than an hour after I’ve been moved to the ward that I hear a very familiar voice arguing with the woman on the nurse’s station about seeing me. She is really quite adamant that he is not allowed in until visiting hours, but he’s not having any of it.

I pull on all the strength I have, and slowly waddle my way over to the entrance to the bay I’m in.

“Abs, you should be in bed,” Ryan admonishes.

“I thought I’d better come and rescue the nurse who was trying to deal with you!” The nurse in question does look rather relieved, which makes me smile.

“I promise we’ll be quiet and pull the curtain around.” I smile sweetly at her before turning and walking back towards my bed. I only make it two steps before Ryan has his arms around my waist and is helping me.

Once he has me back safely in bed, he sits himself in the chair and grabs my hand. “How are you doing?”

“Okay I guess, the pain killers are working wonders, thank God, but I’ve got all sorts of gunk falling out of me.” I can’t help but laugh at the expression on his face. “Oh bro, you got all this to come. Just you wait until Molly goes into labour!”

“Yeah, thanks for that! Seriously though, Abs, are you okay?”

“I don’t think it’s really hit me yet, to be honest, but then again, being pregnant hadn’t either. I’d only known a couple of weeks and…oh, I don’t know,” I say glumly.

I can see in his eyes that he wants to ask me loads of questions, but thankfully he holds them back. I don’t really want to talk about what is going on right now.

“Is Jax okay? He was a…um…a bit of a mess when I got him last night.” He asks quietly.

  “Yeah I think so…why?”

“Well…he had this panic attack in my car. It was proper scary. He just kept ranting about you slitting your wrists and how it was all his fault, how he made you do it and all this other crazy stuff. I’ve never seen him like that, Abs. I didn’t really know what to do.”

I’m at a loss for words. I’ve never seen that side of Jax, either. He’s always been so strong and well…stable, I guess. “Shit…he seems okay. He stayed with me all night. I think he would still have been here now if the nurse hadn’t kicked him out this morning.”

“Okay, well I think you might want to talk to him about it at some point. He said something triggered his panic attacks a couple of years ago. He wouldn’t say anything more to me, and to be honest I don’t think he will. He might open up to you, though. I’m worried about him,” Ryan says, looking down and rubbing the back of his neck as if he’s trying to relieve the tension there. “Out of interest, Abs…are you going to put him out of his misery any time soon? I’m sorry, but it’s so obvious how you both feel about each other. You belong together.”

  “I’m i-i-i-i-in love w-w-w-w-with him, Ry,” I sob out.

“I know you are,” he says, before pulling me into his arms. What the fuck is it with the water works? I’ve never been a crier. This is ridiculous. Fucking hormones!

Thankfully, lunch arriving interrupts us, so I don’t get to answer the question that I have been asking myself for…oh…months now. I do know that everyone around me is right and that I should go for it, but it’s been ingrained in me for a long time to listen to my bloody mother, and if I’m honest with myself, I am scared that history will repeat itself. I know it’s stupid, because Jax is nothing like that, but fears are irrational, as they say.

Ryan stays a while longer and finishes off the lunch that I can’t manage, which is most of it. “Abs, you need to eat,” he says, looking concerned.

“I know, I’m just really not feeling it.”

He can obviously see my eyes getting heavy, so before long he is saying his goodbyes and I watch him quietly sneak out behind the curtain.

I only manage about half an hour’s sleep before my next lot of visitors appear. Liv comes bounding up to me and pulls me into a bone crushing hug before she moves to the side to allow Beth and Caleb to see me. Luckily, they are slightly gentler.

I don’t talk much while they are there. I’m so tired that it’s as much as I can do to stay awake and listen to them chat amongst themselves. Beth talks nonstop about Daniel and everything they’ve been up to.

Caleb doesn’t say a lot. He just listens to his sister and grimaces at the thought of her with an older man. The only time I see any interest from him is when Liv innocently recollects something that Taylor, Lilly’s best friend, said to her last night. I swear I see his eyes sparkle at the mere mention of his name. Interesting.

I’m the only one who knows for sure about Caleb’s preferences in life, but that is only because I’m the only one that has been brave enough to call him out on it. Everyone else seems to pussy foot around the subject. I really wish he would just come out - he’s never going to find a nice guy if he’s hiding himself away from the world.

My eyes are closed and I’m just listening to the happy chatter around me when everything goes deadly silent. I crack my eyes open slightly to see what is stopping them, to find Jax has reappeared and is staring straight at Caleb like he wants to kill him. It’s in that moment I realise that he’s holding my hand. I release Caleb’s hand and mouth to him that it’s okay. To say he looks a little intimidated by Jax’s glare would be an understatement.

I look back to Jax and my breath catches. “What have you done?” I whisper.

Gone are his long brown locks, in favour of a short buzz cut. I didn’t think it was possible, but it actually makes him even better looking than before. His square jaw and strong cheekbones are even more prominent. When I run my eyes down his body, I see a white plaster poking out from under the sleeve of his t-shirt.

“Have you had another tat?” I ask, looking back up to him, but he is motionless, just staring at me.

“We’re gonna go,” Liv says, getting up from her seat. “I’m so glad you’re okay, sis. I’ll see you soon, yeah?” She squeezes my hand and gestures for the others to follow her.

Jax and I just stare at each other until they have left the ward. “Jax?” I question.

Very slowly, he moves over and sits himself on the side of my bed and gently grabs my hand. He keeps his head lowered as he quietly says, “I don’t like him, and I really don’t like him touching you.”

I know it’s stupid, because I know he still cares about me – hell, he wouldn’t be here if he didn’t - but hearing that he’s jealous makes my heart do a little happy dance. “You’re jealous of Caleb?” I ask, just to make sure that is what it is.

  “Yes,” he states.

I sit up and reach out my other arm out to grasp his cheek and lift his head up so I can look at him. “Jax, you really don’t need to be jealous of him. You can’t say anything to anyone because I’m the only one he’s trusted with it, but he’s gay, Jax.” I watch him let out a huge breath before he pulls me into him and holds me tightly.

“Thank fuck for that,” he whispers in my ear. “I seriously thought I was gonna lose my shit when I saw him holding your hand.”

“It’s okay, he really isn’t a threat. I’m sorry I have made it look that way recently, but we are just good friends.”

“So, nothing has ever happened between you?”

“Well, I wouldn’t say that, exactly,” I grimace as I say it, and he physically flinches in my arms. I quickly continue. “A few years ago, before I knew, they’d come home for a few weeks and I tried to start something with him, but it was a bit of a non-starter. He just was not interested in what I had to offer, if you know what I mean. I never wanted him though, I was just in a bad place and thought he’d fit the bill perfectly.”

Jax pulls back and looks at me. “Fit the bill?” he questions with his brows drawn together.

“Don’t worry. Now’s not the time.” It’s not because I don’t want to tell him what happened before; it’s more that it’s never really come up. Now is definitely not the time or the place, though. I can see that he’s about to push the
subject, but he quickly changes his mind and pulls me to him once again.

I must have fallen asleep in his arms again, because the next thing I know, I’m being woken by someone growling my name.

“Abigail Mary Evans, what the hell are you doing?” I don’t need to open my eyes to see who it is and what the look on her face must be like. This is the moment I’ve been trying to avoid, more so for Jax’s sake than my own.

“Mum, Dad,” I say as I open my eyes to see them standing at the entrance to my cubicle. “You should both be in Paris.”

“Yes, but we organised an earlier flight when Ryan rang and said you were in hospital. Do you think we could have some privacy?”

I follow her eyes as they move across to the man that is once again lying on my bed with me, with his arms wrapped tightly around my waist. I’m surprised the death stare he’s receiving from my mother hasn’t woken him.

I lean over, rest my hand on his cheek and whisper his name.

  Chapter Three

  Jax

“Jax…Jax, baby, you need to wake up.” I wake to her soothing sound, but the moment I open my eyes and see the look in hers, I start to panic.

“Baby, what-” a throat clearing by the entrance stops me in my tracks, and I turn to look at the two people stood there. There is no question who they are, because the lady is just an older version of the woman I’m desperately in love with. If what I’ve heard is true, then this should be fun.

“Some privacy with my daughter, please,” she snaps at me when she sees I’m awake.

I look back to Abbi and try to give her a smile, but I’m not fooling anyone. I lean forward to place a kiss on Abbi’s forehead before I go to get up. I ignore the huffing and “Is that necessary” coming from the end of the bed.
