She took a deep breath and took the radio in her hands. “My name is Gina. I am a friend of Aiken Braiv and Ragda. I am from the Earth system; I wish permission to land,” she said.
The radio was silent. After a minute, there was a response.
“Aiken has been notified. Do not approach any closer until you receive a response.”
“Copy that, confirming. We will hold,” she said.
She looked at me. I stopped the ship, and stayed in a hovering position in space, just outside the atmosphere entrance area.
“Well, that is good news. It means that Aiken really is truly there,” she said.
“But they do not know that you come with Lieutenant Dyzon Draxel; it is best to not say that. We should wait until we could explain in person,” I said.
“Yes, that is a good plan.”
“Gina? Is that you? Come in?” a female voice said over the radio. Gina quickly lit up. A big smile came on her face. She spoke into the radio.
“Aiken! Yes, it is me, Gina. It is so good to hear your voice. I have been so worried. Is Ragda there with you?”
“Oh, Gina! Oh, it is good to hear from you! Ragda is not here with me at the moment, but I had her notified.”
“Then both of you are safe! I am so happy, Aiken!” Gina said through tears.
“Give her permission to land. Give her coordinates,” Aiken said to someone else.
“Yes right away. Coordinates are 0491 at 83 degrees,” the communications tower said.
I put in the information into the ship and nodded at Gina.
“Confirmed, approaching atmosphere entry, landing in minutes. Aiken, will you be there to greet me?” Gina said.
“Yes, I am on my way. I will see you soon,” Aiken said.
“Thank you,” Gina said.
A few minutes later, I was landing the ship on the massive landing port. I could not believe what I saw. The base was massive. There were hundreds of battleships lined up as far as the eye could see. Battalions moved in groups, training. It was a fully operational military base; this is what the Order of the Ition Domain would be up against. Dorian was in a better position than I thought.
“Maybe it is best if you go out there first, tell them that I am with you and wish permission to disembark the ship. Trust me; I know Dorian, and he is all ego. This will be the only way. If I walk off the ship with you, they will think it is a trick. They might shoot us both,” I said.
“Okay, that is a good idea,” she said. Then she stood up and hugged me and gave me a strong kiss. I loved feeling her body touching me.
Outside the windshield of the ship I saw two human females walking toward us, rapidly. Gina turned and saw them; then she quickly ran out of the ship and down the room. She ran into them and hugged them. They all seemed very happy to see each other. I couldn't hear what they were saying, but Gina was pointing out the ship; she was obviously telling them. Then I saw Dorian. He looked just as he always did. There was a lieutenant at his side along with a few other soldiers. I watched as one of the females that Gina was talking to went to him and talk to him. Then Dorian went into action. With his soldiers, he came toward the ship. I knew what was coming. I got out of the seat and stood up. I waited.
They entered the ship.
“No, don’t hurt him!” I heard Gina shouting. Then she entered the ship with the other two females.
“Lieutenant Dyzon Draxel, never thought I would see you again,” Dorian said while his soldiers pointed their guns at me.
“Neither did I, Dorian, but things have a way of changing suddenly. Don't they? You would know about all about that,” I said.
Suddenly Gina ran between us, the guns were now pointed at her.
“Lower your weapons; do not point them at the girl. Point them at me but not her,” I said getting angry.
“Dorian, stop, please. This is my dearest friend, Gina. I have told you about her. Let them speak. If he brought her here to me then he must not mean her harm,” one of the females said.
“He does not mean harm. He harmed the Commander Reiq Jos. Threw him against the wall and saved me. I saw it,” Gina said.
“That could be part of the trick,” Dorian said.
“No, it is not. We come to tell you news. There is much to say… Aiken?” Gina said. “It’s about home.”
“Lower your weapons,” the human female named Aiken said. “Dorian, they deserve to be heard. Let's take them inside.”
I watched as Dorian turned to the human female that he had made his wife. His face softened. I realized then that he was under the same spell that I was. They were able to turn our hearts from darkness to light. It was a remarkable thing.
“Fine. We will bring them inside, but we will keep watch over Lieutenant Dyzon Draxel. My soldiers stay with me. Let's go,” he said.
Gina looked at me. She nodded and grabbed my hand. We walked out of the ship together, following the group across the port while the two soldiers walked behind us st
ill carrying guns but not aimed at us.
A few moments later, we were inside a private room; we were with the two human females named Aiken and Ragda along with Dorian and his lieutenant, Lieutenant Delias.
“Now tell us what news you bring us. Tell us while you bring a lieutenant from the Order of the Ition Domain here, exposing our base.” Dorian said.
“We have not exposed your base. I found out the name and location of your base from the Commander Reiq Jos. He knows where this is. His plan is to attack the Earth system. This will not be good for the other Itions, the Alva clan and other clans. He wants to turn the cold war into an all-out war with Earth. We have to cut him off before he gets there.”
