“Julia, you devil. Come out! Don’t hide from me. I told you not to ruin my child’s innocence.” Hailey was really angry.
Julia didn’t come out, so I interfered.
“Hailey, she’s your friend. Cut her some slack. And the car is waiting,” I said.
Hailey nodded and turned to Noah. She kissed him on the head while he was still clinging to me.
“Just for tonight, you will stay with your grandma and tomorrow we are going to come and take you to our new home,” I said told him, kissing his forehead and receiving a kiss on the cheek in return.
But he still looked sad, so to cheer him up, I whispered, “I’ll definitely try to get you a brother soon.”
I winked at him, and it put a smile on his face.
He gave me his toothy smile and said, “You’re the best dad.”
Hailey was already sitting inside the car, waiting for me.
“So where are we going?” she asked me when I got inside the car.
“We’re going to our house.” I took her hand in mine.
She placed her head on my shoulder.
I intertwined our hands and kissed her head.
Chapter Forty-One
Love Me
Hailey
When we arrived at our house, he scooped me into his arms.
“Chase what are you doing? Let me walk,” I said to him.
“No. It’s a family tradition. The groom has to carry his bride to their room on the wedding night.” He continued walking upstairs to our room.
I knew it was no family tradition and rolled my eyes.
When we reached our room, he placed me on my feet. I looked at the beautiful room decorated in white and gold.
The king-size bed in the center of the room had plain white sheets. White rose petals were scattered all over it. The matching pillows and comforter were set on the bed.
The white chiffon curtains were flowing because of the light breeze coming through the open window. The whole room was decorated with roses and white tulips. Some were even spread on the floor. The fragrance of flowers that filled the room was so relaxing. I took a deep breath.
I turned to see Chase staring at me intensely. My face turned red with a blush at the way he was looking at me.
“Have I told you how beautiful you look in this wedding dress?” he asked me, taking a step closer.
“Yes, you have told me how beautiful I look umpteenth times, including now.” I took a step closer to him.
He pulled something out from his pocket.
“What’s that?” I asked him curiously.
“It’s your wedding gift.” He handed me the box.
“Chase, you have given me so many gifts already. There is no need for more gifts for the next ten years,” I said, scolding him.
“I can’t resist buying gifts for you. Now open it.” He looked at me smiling and handing me a jewelry box.
I opened the jewelry box and said, “A bracelet.”
“No, it’s an anklet.” He picked it out from the box.
I looked at the anklet in his hand. It was beautiful. It had a thin golden chain, and small diamond shapes were dangling a few centimeters from each other, making it look so delicate.
“It looks very delicate and beautiful,” I said in awe, and he smiled.
“May I?”
I nodded my head in a silent yes. I was standing so he made me sit on the bed. Then he bent down and picked my left foot and placed it on his knee. I pulled my gown up to my knees to give him more access.
He clasped the anklet on my left ankle, and I heard him murmured “Beautiful.”
Then I felt his lips on my ankle, kissing his way up to my leg.
My heart thumped at the feeling of his lips on my skin. I shivered when his lips reached my knee. My breath started to haywire. He didn’t stop there and pushed my gown up to my thigh.
His lips were so soft, kissing me lightly, transferring some kind of electronic wave in my body.
My hands clenched the sheets underneath me with anticipation when he reached my mid-thigh.
A moan escaped my mouth when I felt his tongue massaging my flesh after biting there.
I was anxious about what will happen tonight. He was my first, and I had never been with anyone else in the past three years. The evil thing was that I didn’t even remember anything about the night I spent with him three years ago.
He looked up at me, his passion filled eyes making me breathless.
“Cha… Chase, I don’t have any experience,” I confessed embarrassed.
He got up, placing my foot down on the floor. He sat beside me on the bed.
“Hailey, you are perfect the way you are,” he said, taking my hand in his and kissing.
“Was… was I any good that night?” I glanced down at my feet.
He chuckled lightly at my flushed face.
“No,” he said with a teasing smile, making my heart drop. Then he whispered, “You were wild.”
I got up from the bed in embarrassment and mumbled that I was going to change. Then I stopped mid-step remembering that I was wearing a wedding dress, which had a low zipper that I couldn’t reach. I turned back to find Chase standing and unbuttoning his shirt. And I couldn’t help myself from staring at his chiseled chest.
He caught me staring then discarded his shirt on the chair near him. He came closer to me and smiled in amusement, making me blush.
“Anything you want, love?” he asked, leaning closer to my ear.
Why did his voice have to be so sexy and husky?
“Uh… yeah… I… I need help with the dress,” I asked him, looking into his eyes, as it started to smolder.
“I will be honored to help you.” He moved a lot closer.
I turned my back to him waiting for him to start working on my zipper. He caught the zipper, and his fingers brushed the bare part of my back, making my heart beat faster.
Very slowly he started to pull the zipper down. When his hand brushed the bare skin of my lower back, I got even weaker in the knees.
Finally, the zipper stopped above my hip, and his thumb started to make circles, making my toes curl. I didn’t know if I wanted him to stop or continue as my mind was getting hazy.
I felt his lips on my shoulder, kissing his way to my neck. Then he took a small part of my skin in his mouth and sucked on it.
Instinctively, I arched my back, pressing my back on his hard chest and giving him more access to continue his torture. His hand came to rest on my stomach, and he pulled me closer, pressing my bare back against his naked chest.
My eyes were shut. My body was lost in the feel of his sweet tormenting kisses.
“I’m going to show you how much I love you, Hailey,” he said, placing a kiss on my collarbone. “And I love kissing you here.” He bit my neck with a bit of pressure this time.
I was moaning loudly in pleasure.
“I love it when you moan,” he said while his hand was making its way to my breast.
His touch was making me crazy. My stomach clenched at the sensation pooling inside of me
“Cha… Chase.” I bit my lips to stop the next moan emerging from my throat as he touched the most sensitive part of my body.
“Don’t stop your moans, love. I want to hear them, all night,” he whispered in my ear, pulling my dress lower.
His words instantly relaxed my body. All the anxiety I was feeling completely disappeared from my body, leaving me craving for more of his kisses. I wanted his kisses on every part of my body. I wanted to feel his love tonight. His lips were starting a fire inside my body that only he could calm.
“Chase, love me,” I said breathlessly, unable to contain my feelings any longer.
He whirled me around to face him then captured my lips in a sensual kiss.
His lips were moving softly, yet there was this urgency like he couldn’t believe I was standing there, and I would disappear if he let go of me. My hand sneaked up and fisted his soft hair while the other one was on his neck pressing
his mouth closer to mine. His hand was resting on my waist, and the other one was pleasuring my body
I didn’t know how and when we got rid of my dress and ended up on the bed without anything to separate us from each other.
His lips were frantic, kissing me, tasting me, and devouring me like a starved man. I was in paradise
The whole night we were spellbound with love, as we revealed the unyielding desire that we kept from each other all these years.
I could never forget the passion and love he showed me all night. His every kiss, his every touch, and his every word were imprinted on my memory. No drug or drink would make me forget this night with him.
That night he made me his forever and gave me memories that were mine to cherish and to keep sealed in my heart and mind.
Chapter Forty-Two
A New Life
Chase
Next morning, I woke up feeling fingers running up and down my chest. I glanced at Hailey and saw her head resting on my chest. Her fingers were leisurely moving up and down on my chest. She stirred inside the cover, and I felt her bare legs tangled with mine, making me groan.
“You’re going to be the death of me, Hailey,” I said, gripping her wrist with my hand to stop her sweet torture.
“You’re awake.” She looked at my face, startled.
“Yeah. Your torture woke me up.”
“When did I torture you?”
“What were you thinking, running your fingers over my chest would make me sleep peacefully?” I asked, hovering above her face.
“Yes.” She looked nervous.
“Let me show you what you were doing to me,” I said, running my hand from her neck to her bare breast.
A breathless moan left her mouth when my hand reached her navel.
“Now you know how I was feeling earlier,” I said, lightly brushing my lips on her collarbone.
She didn’t reply. Instead, she pulled me closer to her and kissed me. I responded, moving my lips over hers slowly. I felt her hands running down my bare back then up towards my head. She lightly fisted my hair and deepened the kiss. She bit my lip, surprising me and entered her tongue into my mouth. She explored my mouth with her sweet tongue. I, on the other hand, was enjoying the taste of her mouth, which made me greedy for more
We pulled away breathless, staring at each other.
After last night she still seemed shy, blushing at my mere touch.
But I loved her shyness, her blush, and especially the pleasure filled noises that she made whenever I pleased her and took her to a place where she had never been before.
Last night with Hailey was so good. She was the best for me even if she didn’t know a lot of things. I enjoyed teaching her. She was the sweetest thing I had ever tasted in my life. Her innocence increased the passion between us. Every emotion that she showed me last night was raw and pure because of her inexperience. And I was proud that I was the only man who had seen her in the throes of pleasure. Every detail of last night was engraved in my memory.
“Chase. I… I’m hungry,” she said, looking embarrassed.
“Okay then. Go get freshen up. I’ll make you something, or we can go out for breakfast if you want.”
I got up from the bed.
“Oh! God, cover yourself.” I heard Hailey saying.
“What? Baby, you have seen, touched, and tasted everything,” I said, picking a robe out from my closet and shrugging it on.
She threw a pillow at me looking bright red, and I winked at her.
I pulled out my boxers, jeans, and shirt along with my towel and said, “I’m going to the next room for a shower. I have bought some dresses for you, and they’re hanging in my closet.”
I walked towards the bed where she was still sitting with the sheets clutched to her chest, and kissed her head.
Then I left her to give her some privacy. I didn’t want to make her feel pressured, overwhelmed, or uncomfortable. I wanted her to feel happy and comfortable with me more than she was now.
After showering, I came out of the washroom and changed into the clothes I bought with me. Then I went back to our room to see if Hailey was ready. Opening the door of my bedroom, I entered and felt my breath knocked out from me.
She was wearing a white off-shoulder dress, which clung to her body perfectly.
“You’re looking gorgeous. When I bought this, I knew it will look great on you,” I said, running my eyes up and down her.
“Thanks. I’m ready.”
“Let’s go.” I took her hand in mine.
I took her to the best breakfast café that was a ten-minute drive away from our house. We ordered a good amount of breakfast and enjoyed it.
Then we decided to go and pick Noah up from his grandparent’s house. When we got there, he was awake and watching cartoons.
“Chase, I need to pack my and Noah’s stuff. I’ll go start on it because it will take time.” She told me.
I nodded in understanding. After three hours, she had packed her and Noah’s stuff in two large bags and few small boxes. I took them and deposited them in the trunk.
She bid goodbye to her family while I strapped Noah in his car seat in the back. Then I walked back to my beautiful wife.
“Goodbye, sir,” I said, extending my hand to her dad.
“Goodbye, and take good care of my girl.” He patted my back.
“I promise. This time, I won’t disappoint you,” I said, glancing down as regret started seeping into my brain.
“I hope so, son.” He smiled at me.
“Chase, honey. Promise me, you are going to come here every weekend with Noah and Hailey,” her mom said.
“I promise.” I hugged her.
I wished my mother would also change and realize her mistakes like Melanie did. Melanie was a changed person now and truly loved Noah and Hailey.
After thirty minutes of driving, we finally reached our destination. I pulled Noah from the backseat then shut the door and took Hailey, hand in mine.
“Dad, is this your house?” Noah had a cute smile on his face.
“Well, son. It’s not only my house. It’s yours too. Basically, it’s your mommy’s house. She is the boss of this place,” I said to Noah.
He had a frown on his face.
“So we’re not going back to Grandma and Grandpa?” he asked me with a sad face.
“No, we are not going to live there. You, your mommy, and I are going to live here. We’ll ask your Grandma and Grandpa to come here, and we can always go there too,” I suggested while kissing Hailey on the head.
Noah smiled.
“I have a surprise for you,” I said.
His face instantly lit up with a smile.
“Where is it?” he asked me curiously.
“Come, I’ll show you.” I took him upstairs and opened the door of his room.
“Oh thanks, Daddy. It’s so cool,” he said, staring at his room.
I made sure during the renovation that the theme of his room would be his favorite game: football.
Hailey was smiling at Noah and me. I felt like I had successfully won their hearts. My sole reason for doing everything was to make the two most important people in my life happy, and they were happy.

Hailey
[Three months]
“Chase your phone has been ringing for the past ten minutes,” I said, walking in the washroom where he was showering, hidden behind the blurry glass door.
He slid the glass door a little and asked, “Is it my mom’s number?”
“No. It’s an unknown number.” I rolled my eyes.
He was still hiding from his family the fact that we were married or in the right sense remarried. He even succeeded in convincing me to hide it from Allison and Cameron. Chase had turned paranoid, and he thought that his mother would again do something to separate us.
“Chase, darling. You’re getting so paranoid about your mother. She’s not going to do the same thing again.” I tried reassuring him.
r /> “I know my mother, and I don’t trust her,” he replied.
“Okay. I’m going to set dinner. Please hurry and come down once you’re done.”
“I thought you wanted to join me in the shower,” he mumbled.
“Maybe tomorrow if you decide to come home early from the office,” I yelled and walked out of the washroom.
Chase had transferred his office here and had been working from there for the last three months. If something important came up, he would go to Boston for a day or two. He had hinted that he wanted us to transfer to Boston after my study would be completed here. I liked the idea of moving to Boston because I could see how difficult it was for him to handle his business from here. But I needed a year more to finally graduate.
His cell phone started ringing in my hand again, and in irritation, I picked it up.
“Hello.”
“Hello. Can I talk to Chase?” I heard a feminine voice on the other line.
“Um, he is busy at the moment. You can leave a message if you want. I’ll deliver it to him,” I said to the woman on the line, thinking that maybe she was his colleague or business partner.
“Can I ask you who you are?”
“I’m his wife. You can tell me. Don’t worry,” I replied.
I thought that maybe she was having trouble trusting me.
“Oh. Then his wife, please, tell him to call his mother urgently,” the woman shouted, and the line went dead.
Chase came out of the washroom in a towel wrapped around his lower body and saw me standing like a statue with his phone still pressed to my ear.
“Hailey, what happened? Are you fine?” he asked me concerned.
He took his phone from my hand and threw it on the bed.
He cupped my face and asked, “Hailey, tell me.”
“Chase… I answered your phone.”
“So what? You can answer it. You’re my wife,” he said looking nonchalant.
“But it was your mom’s call.”
He instantly turned pale and looked scared.
“She asked me who I am and I told her that I’m your wife. I thought she was some business colleague.” I tried explaining to him.
