Checklists of Tasks
Set out below are checklists of tasks and skills in a number of areas of book publishing. They are drawn from the Skill Audits issued by the Publishing Training Centre at Book House (see Appendix 1) as part of the process of setting standards for assessment and training in the publishing industry.
I suggest that you use the checklists as a means of clarifying the different tasks you will need to accomplish to publish your book. They should also help you to identify the skills and abilities you already have, and where you might need to seek further advice, assistance or training.
