Oh my, where is going with this? If only he knew about my nighttime thoughts. “Yes, I want to obey you. You make it hard not to.” I’m lost in his sexual enchantment. He owns me at this moment.
“That’s very good. I like that a lot. It turns me on. I like control. You’ve made me very excited. Now, come for me Babe, come for me.”
I move my fingers back to my clitoris now that I have his permission to release. It takes only five seconds. “Oh, oh, I am going to come. Ahhh.” My bum clenches as the hot pulsations rip through my vagina and up through my abdomen.
I hear him moan and say, “Oh Babe, that sounds like it was really good, was it?”
Very breathless now, I manage to say, “Yes, oh yes, very intense. I wish you were here.”
“Yes, me too. I wish I was there. You really have made me very excited. I can’t wait to see you.”
“Yes, me too. I miss you even more now.”
He chuckles and then says in a very low almost whispery tone, “I have to go now. Good night Babe, sleep well. I’ll call you later today. I don’t know what time so keep your phone close. Bye Babe.” The line goes dead and I am left breathless in my bed. It’s almost 1 now and I am going to sleep very well tonight.
Chapter 8
The sun peeks in through the crack of the curtain of my bedroom window. I roll over and look at the clock; 9:30 Sunday morning. I’ve slept right through the night undisturbed, and it feels wonderful. It must be the aftermath of what happened last night. He had complete control over me and did this from afar. I wonder what he will be like in person. I can only imagine and will find out soon enough.
There is something so intense between us. I have a feeling we have only touched the tip of where he is going to take me. It’s like foreshadowing in a book. I think back to when I was fourteen with my friend Kim. She would take her mother’s steamy romance novels and we would sit in her bedroom secretly reading them. This is where I first learned about sexual encounters outside of what we learned in health class in school, which were scientific and ordinary. These books were enticing, hot, passionate and risky. We learned a lot from them, things we didn’t even know people could do. When I was fifteen, it is from these books that I first created my fantasy prince. As I got older, the fantasy became more intense and explicit with greater exploration. I began to feel an unrelenting desire to be controlled by my lover. These thoughts have taken me to great places and given me lots of self-pleasure, but Adam is taking me higher. He stirs something inside of me that I have never felt before. I want him so badly and to be his completely!
I come back to reality when my body insists that I get up. The thought of a cup of tea is appealing, so I make my way to the kitchen. Leaning against the kitchen counter I wait for the kettle to boil. I think about my two appointments tomorrow that will seal the deal with Adam. I feel tingling sensations when I think of what will soon follow after that. Tea in hand, I make my way back to my bedroom and plop back on my bed. I feel like a teenager with a crush on the guy everyone wants. I, Violet Cole, am with a good-looking, successful lawyer. If anyone had told me I even had a glimpse of a chance with someone like Adam, I would have called them insane. As Ann said, dreams do come true and mine has only just begun.
I send an email to Paul to let him know I need to leave early tomorrow. Since my email is already open I delve into some work. It is past noon and I still haven’t heard from Adam. My tummy is grumbling. Getting up and heading back into the kitchen I reach for the bread to make some toast. Remembering there is Havarti left from our lunch a few days ago I take some of that too. Eating over the counter, I will my phone to ring, but it doesn’t. I do hope he calls, to hear his voice will make me very happy amongst other things. Stop it! I scold myself, and just then the phone actually rings.
“Hi, it’s me” Ann says. I try not to sound disappointed.
“Hi, how’s it going? Did Ted like your jeans?”
“Yes, he said they fit very well. Thanks for convincing me to buy them. What are you up to today?”
“I just finished eating and doing some work. I’m waiting for Adam to call me from London.”
Ann’s cheery voice pipes in. “He has an office there right? I checked on the Internet. They’re a fast growing international legal firm, did you know that?”
“Not really. He doesn’t talk about work when he’s with me.”
“You’re probably a welcome distraction from it. The guy has to relax sometime. He was only twenty-five when he joined Laurier and became a senior partner. Apparently he has grown their business double digits over the last three years. My guess is he is a workaholic. Maybe you’ll change that.” She is sincere; there is no slight to her comment.
“How did you find this out?”
“I told you, the Internet. You can find anything on it, trust me.” I’ve been so wrapped up in just being with Adam that I hadn’t even thought of checking him out. I wonder if he has checked me out. There won’t be much on me anyway.
“So that probably makes him about twenty-eight or -nine then? He’s five or six years older than me.”
“Yes, I think so. He’s a smart guy and has achieved quite a bit. I’d think most lawyers at his level would be older. I bet he is the youngest one in his crowd. You have certainly chosen well. I’m happy for you, Violet. He must be absolutely loaded!”
“He told me he skipped three grades in school, so yes he is ahead of himself, age and success wise. I don’t care about his money, though. I really don’t. It’s his confidence and strength that I find so appealing. The fact that he is highly intelligent doesn’t hurt either.” And if only she knew what he had done to me already.
“I know that Vee. Your heart rules everything. That’s what makes you so sweet and is probably a big attraction to him too. He likely doesn’t get to meet a lot of people as genuine as you are.”
“Thanks Ann, you always make me feel good about myself. You are my rock, you know that, right?”
“And you’re mine. Listen, I have to go and you probably should keep the line open in case lover boy calls you. One quick thing before I go, Sarah has arrived. She can meet us for dinner tomorrow night. Okay?”
“Perfect. Let me know when and where. Enjoy what’s left of the weekend.”
“You too, bye.”
At 4:30 there’s still no word from Adam. I hope I’m not going to get another midnight call as I have work tomorrow. Of course if I do, I will still be very happy. I just want to hear from him and find out how he’s doing. I pick at the strawberries I purchased on Friday. After this, I’ll go for a walk. I am so glad that Monday will fly by with my two afternoon appointments and then dinner. I sit and think how on earth I have survived weekend after weekend like this, by myself mostly. It never dawned on me before I met Adam. The excitement of Adam in my life has made me notice things I never did before. I was quite comfortable in my little cocoon of normality and predictability. I feel a storm coming with Adam, but in a good way. As I get ready to go for a walk. I check my pockets to make sure I have keys, headphones, five dollars, and my iPhone. Just as I’m on my way out the door my cell phone rings. It’s from an unknown number, it must be him. I quickly sit down on the arm of the sofa and answer.
“Hello Babe.” I feel warm inside. I like being his babe.
“How are you?”
“I’m good, it’s busy here. Sorry I couldn’t call you until now.” I look at the clock; it’s almost 5 here which is 10 for him.
“Are you at the hotel now? You must be tired.”
“Yeah, it’s been business pretty much all day. I did manage to get in a work out earlier today which is good. I needed to release some pent up energy after my call with you.” I hear him chuckle.
I grin to myself. “I slept like a baby, you must’ve released years of pent up energy in me.”
“Oh, that’s good to know. I’m just getting started. I look
forward to showing you what I can do in person.”
“I can’t wait to find out. It’s pretty much all I have been thinking about, you, and being with you.”
“I like that a lot. We’d better stop this as you’re turning me on. What else are you up to today?”
“If you insist, okay. I did some work and I was just getting ready to go for a walk.”
“That sounds boring. ”
He’s right. “Boring? That’s my weekends these days.”
He is laughing down the phone as he says, “We’ll have to fix that. When I am back I’ll make your weekends far more exciting. I’m sure I can help you with that.”
Right away my thoughts go to me and Adam entwined and I feel excited. I reply, “Yes, like I said, I look forward to seeing what you come up with.” Some confidence on my part kicks in.
“You won’t be disappointed in what comes up, I promise.” I don’t doubt him for one minute.
“If what you can do with one finger is a sign of what’s to come, I am a very lucky girl.” I can’t believe I’m saying this.
“Violet, I thought you were sweet,” he says, feigning shock. “I’m kidding, you are sweet and I look forward to confirming how sweet you are indeed.” His voice is low.
“I hope you like the taste.” Horny Violet, I think as another hot flash rips through me.
“Violet, I expect you to taste like a fine wine. The more I taste the more I want. I expect I will want all of you. Now change the subject, you’re driving me nuts and I want to fuck you badly now and I can’t.”
I oblige even though I feel so aroused. He wants to fuck me; it sounds so powerful. “Okay. I’m sorry if I’m teasing you too much. Tomorrow, I am seeing your lawyer over lunch and then the doctor at 4.”
“Yes, I know.” He seems to know everything. I think back to Friday afternoon and have to admit that both of his requests were responsible. I am really okay with all of it now.
“Why am I not surprised? You probably knew before I did,” I chuckle.
“Not exactly, but I am well informed when I want to be.” He sounds like himself again now.
“I’m looking forward to seeing you at the opening on Wednesday. It will be a first for me and I do enjoy historical things.”
“Yes Babe, I’m very much looking forward to seeing you. Do you want to slip out for a late dinner after the opening?”
“Yes, that would be nice.”
“You promise not to storm out on me, right?”
“Yes, Adam, I promise I won’t do that. I learned my lesson.”
“Then it will be a good night and there is so much I want to teach you.” Another hot throbbing sensation goes through me as I think about what he wants to teach me. I shake my head to clear it of my lustful thoughts.
“How should we act at the opening given both of us will have colleagues there?”
“We act as we intend to be, of course. I won’t pounce on you, but I do intend on kissing you. I can’t wait to feel your lips. Do you think you’ll get any grief from your co-workers? If you do, I can speak with them.” When he says, ‘speak with them,’ my stomach sinks. I imagine he would be tougher with them than he was with me, and I don’t want any issues with Paul. He has been a great mentor and boss.
“Should I tell Paul?” I ask.
“That’s your call. I sense you have some hesitation. If you prefer discretion, I’m very good at that. You don’t want to have to tell him about our lunch date on Friday do you?” He laughs.
“No, I don’t,” I laugh too. My gut says to wait. “I do think we should be discreet. I don’t want Paul wondering.”
“Okay, if that’s what you want.”
“It is. Let’s be discreet for now.”
He agrees, and I feel glad that we talked about it. It’s going to be hell not to run into his arms, but it feels right. Why expose ourselves when we don’t even know where this is going yet. But I do. Deep inside, I know I don’t want any other man but Adam Stone.
Adam’s voice cuts through my thoughts. “Okay Babe, I have to go. I’m meeting someone for a drink in a few minutes to prep for a meeting tomorrow morning.”
“What are you meeting about?”
“It’s another merger, very early days. Good night Violet. I will try to call you tomorrow evening or Tuesday for sure. Keep thinking of me as I keep thinking of you. Bye for now.”
“Bye Adam. I can’t wait to see you.”
“Me too.”
Still seated on the arm of the sofa, I feel glad to hear from him. I confirm to myself it is the right decision to keep our personal life personal for now. I know he likes his privacy - I learned that the hard way.
Chapter 9
On Monday morning the sun’s shining. Adam flies back late tomorrow and I will see him on Wednesday at the opening. I have lots to look forward to this week, including dinner with two of my good friends this evening.
While in the shower, I run through my day. Get to work at 8:30; leave at noon for my 12:15 appointment with Adam’s lawyer, Phil Barnett of Barnett & Barnett. Go back to work, eat at my desk, and then leave at 3:30 for my 4 o’clock doctor’s appointment. I will need to take the train for that. Then it’s home to get back online for a bit, then change to meet Ann and Sarah for dinner at 7. Today will fly by. I walk to the train station, feeling energized by the sun; the people around me seem brighter as well.
The morning passes quickly and at 11:40 I head to the restroom to freshen up before I leave to meet Adam’s lawyer. I want to make a good impression, as this is the man who advises Adam and probably knows a lot about him. I comb my hair and put on some lip gloss. I feel a little nervous and wonder how many women before me had to visit his lawyer’s office to sign this agreement. I clear my mind as I make my way to the office of Barnett & Barnett. Their office is located in one of the older low-rise buildings mid-town and not too far from my office. Inside I make my way to the third floor. This is not a large firm by any means, but the décor reflects tenure and experience. I can understand why Adam chose them. The receptionist gives me a warm smile and asks who I am meeting with.
I say, “Hi, I have an appointment with Phil Barnett at 12:15. My name is Violet Cole.” She instructs me to have a seat as I watch her pick up the phone.
In about five minutes, a middle aged woman walks over to me. “Hi, I’m Ruth we spoke on the phone on Friday afternoon. How nice to meet you Miss Cole. Please follow me to Mr. Barnett’s office.” I stand up and shake her hand. We walk past the receptionist into an open area with desks and people working at them. We continue towards the back to Mr. Barnett’s office. Ruth opens the door and walks in with me to make introductions. The office is lined with bookshelves and has one large window behind an ornate wooden desk with two chairs in front of it. There is a small meeting table with four chairs. I realize this must be the son. He appears to be in his late forties and is good looking. He offers me a warm smile as I walk in the room. He gets up from his desk and walks over towards me extending his hand while saying. “Hi, Miss Cole, It’s nice to meet you. Thank you for making yourself available to meet so quickly. I know that Adam is urgent to have this matter settled.” I extend my hand thinking, I’m sure he is. He wants in my pants as much as I want him in them.
I reply. “Please call me Violet and it’s nice to meet you. Thank you for accommodating me over the lunch hour.”
Pleasantries over, he waves his hand to the table and chairs. I take a seat. “Do you want anything to drink?” he asks.
“No thank you.” He smiles at Ruth who closes the door behind her as she leaves. Mr. Barnett goes back to his desk and comes back with a folder in hand. The file is titled ‘NDA – Violet Cole (Stone),’ which I know means ‘non-disclosure agreement,’ or a confidentiality agreement as Adam had called it.
“Violet, I know that Adam gave you a brief overview on this, correct?”
I nod yes. Phil reads through the two-page agreement with me. It’s pretty much as Adam said it was: an agreement acknowledging we are entering into a personal relationship and that all matters between us will remain confidential indefinitely, even if the relationship ends. Phil cuts into my thoughts as he says, “You understand that given the nature of the deals Adam is working on, it is likely you may hear or see things that are highly confidential. He knows this himself, but I’ve also told him he needs to be careful and mindful of his own privacy as well.” I nod again. He asks me if I want to read through the agreement alone.
“No, this is fine and I am ready to sign.” He opens his office door to ask for Ruth to be a witness. I sign three copies of the agreement, which are all witnessed by Ruth. We shake hands as I get ready to leave.
“Thank you for your time Violet. Have a good day.” I smile and shake his hand.
“Thank you Mr. Barnett, it’s nice to meet you.” Ruth walks me back out to the reception area. She smiles and waves to me as I wait for the elevator to take me to the ground floor. I have my copy in an envelope in my hand. I gather they will send Adam his copy by courier.
It’s not long before I get back to my office. I envision the demanding but efficient Adam, leaving my apartment on Friday and immediately calling his lawyer and doctor. I can hear the forcefulness in his voice in my head. Step one is done and step two is soon to follow and then we can get on with us. That makes me smile. Us: Adam and me.
I grab a sandwich from the coffee shop in our building and head back to my desk. It’s just about 1 now, perfect. I begin to work as I hear Paul’s friendly voice. “Hi Violet, how was your weekend? Are you feeling better?”
“It was good thanks and I do feel much better. And yours?” Paul goes on to tell me he had a good weekend and then goes back into his office for a conference call. Before he closes his door, I remind him I’m leaving at 3:30 for an appointment. Of course he is fine with it and smiles at me as he closes his door. The next few hours are a blur as I finish proofing the last two agreements. I will leave them for Paul’s final approval before making the updates on my computer tomorrow, and say goodbye to Molly as I go.
