Abby’s heart was so close to busting wide open, it was crazy. She was so full of love for this man that someone could have chopped one of her limbs off and she wouldn’t have known.
She was so crazy in love with Tucker that to actually hear those words—words that told her that he was in the exact same place that she was—well, it was pretty overwhelming.
She leaned into him, suddenly weak in the knees and feeling like an idiot because of it.
“Abby,” Tucker whispered, holding her close. “Say something. Will you move here with me? I know it might be hard to move away from your brothers. From your family, but I promise we’d see them. Can this be our place?”
She got her shit together and sniffling, looked up at him and nodded. “Well then, Mr. Simon. I guess I’m going to need a hell of a lot more than the bag we brought.”
The grin that spread across Tucker’s face was priceless, and he bent low to kiss her. “About that bag.”
“Hmm?” she murmured content to stay this way forever.
“We’ve got to head back to the airport.”
She whipped her head up. “Why?”
“This was just a pit stop. Our real trip is only beginning. We never made it to Costa Rica and uh, I don’t know about you, but I’ve been dreaming of five days of sun, beach, no one else around and more sex than I can handle.”
“Five days,” she said with giggle, thinking that her bag was way too small for that long of a getaway. “What the hell is in my bag?”
“I threw some stuff in.”
“Stuff.”
He nodded, leading her back toward the car. “Shampoo, a dress. You know that little black one with the slit that makes me crazy. Maybe a bathing suit.”
“That’s it?”
“We’re going to be alone, lady, and last I heard, tan lines aren’t in.”
“What are we going to do for five days?” she said lightly, as she slid inside the car, her eyes behind him on the house that would one day be her home.
“I was thinking the trifecta.”
“That sounds impressive.”
“It is. Sand. Sun. Sex.” Tucker scooped her into his arms and held her as the car sped away from Blackheath, heading back to the airport. “It’s called the S trifecta.”
‘You just made that up.”
“Do you care?”
“No.”
He nipped her ear. “You in?”
“Totally.”
“Then when we’re bored of the S trifecta—“
“Ha! Like that will happen.”
“Let me rephrase. When we get a moment.” His mouth was on her throat. “You know some downtime.”
“When you need to rest.”
“Yeah. When I need to recharge my batteries we’ll start planning a future.”
Abby settled back against his chest. “That sounds perfect.”
“Yeah,” Tucker murmured. “It does.”
