She nodded and clung to his shoulders. She looked at him with trust in her eyes and a tiny hint of fear. He didn’t want her thinking of her past experience. “It’s me, Selena, and you know I will never do anything to hurt you. I want this to be an amazing experience for you.”

He entered her body slowly, knowing he was thick and she hadn’t had sex in years. He felt her vaginal walls stretch around his hardness but the slickness of her pussy eased his entrance. He held on to her hips. It felt incredible as he worked his way into her pussy inch by inch.

She had her eyes closed and she was moaning. “Oh yes, Harrison. That feels so unbelievably good.”

He lifted her legs up to gain better access. Finally he was buried deep inside of her. She rocked back and forth on his cock and he felt her wetness increase. She arched up toward him as if wanting closer to him. He thrust gently at first letting her get used to having him inside of her. If he had his way he would always be inside of her. He smiled to himself at that thought. The usual panic at forming ties was missing. It felt right.

He increased his thrusts when he heard her breathing change into rapid little gasps. Selena started making little noises of excitement. Her fingers dug into his back and it increased his own pleasure. He pumped harder and faster and felt her fingers digging into his skin. He felt sparks of electricity going through him.

“Selena, baby, you feel so good. You’re burning me up,” he admitted out loud. He rocked harder and faster until they were both making noises of excitement. He could feel pools of sweat gathering on his forehead as he thrust back and forth.

Her pussy was so tight and hot, just like he thought.

His body tightened and he knew he was close to coming but he didn’t let himself give in to it, not yet. He wanted her crazy with passion.

He leaned down and grabbed the tip of her breast in his mouth, sucking on it hard. He felt her body tense and move around the sheets as if she was in pain. He thrust harder and faster. He could feel waves of fire traveling through his body.

Selena screamed his name loudly and went lax in his arms. He thrust hard a few more times until his climax hit him in an explosive burst of energy. He roared her name loudly. He swore he even saw spots in front of his eyes.

He gathered her in his arms and kissed her forehead. He had no words to say for the way his chest felt heavy with emotions.

“That was—wow.” She giggled and he tightened his arms and squeezed. She was just as astounded as him. All of a sudden he felt smug and proud that he had given her such an amazing experience. He wanted to give her many more.

  “Yeah, that was.”

  Chapter 13

Selena went to work feeling incredibly happy after her time with Harrison yesterday. After the long talk they had she understood him better. He didn’t have a happy childhood either and she felt like they could possibly have something special together.

She was in the break room for her morning break just staring into space and daydreaming.

“Well someone looks happy despite Dr. Grouch’s mood today,” Holly, one of the other dental assistants, commented as she opened the fridge for a bottle of water. Holly was a single mother and she was always nice to everyone.

Selena smiled. “I am happy. It has been a long time since I could say that and mean it.”

Holly sat at the table and opened her water. She propped her feet up on an empty chair. “We have thirty minutes before our next patient and I needed to sit down.”

“I know. We have been so busy today. It’s as if everybody decided to have a toothache all at once.” Selena sighed. “My feet hurt.”

“So what put that smile on your face? A man?” Holly chuckled.

Selena looked at Holly for any sign of jealousy but she didn’t see any. Holly was in her late thirties and tended to be more polite than Tracy and some of the other girls. Selena decided to be honest.

“Yes. I went out on a date yesterday and I had a great time. I guess it is hard to get your head out of the clouds and back into reality.”

Holly chuckled. “Tell me about it. I haven’t been on a date in a long time. With two kids to raise I just can’t find the time. I am excited if I get a full eight hours of sleep.”

“How are Toby and Mattie?” Selena had met Holly’s two young boys a few times when the school bus had dropped them off at the clinic so Holly could work late. Selena had given them some coloring books and crayons to entertain them.

“Busy exhausting me but they are doing good.” Holly chuckled. “It’s good to see you looking happy. I heard the rumors about Dave Matthews. I know the sheriff will get his crazy ass. He doesn’t put up with crap. Remember that drug ring they busted up last summer?”

Selena was relieved that Holly didn’t put the blame on her saying she deserved it. “I do remember. It’s all everyone talked about for weeks until Henry Jackson drove his truck through Thorn’s front doors.”

Holly laughed and shook her head in amusement.

“I know they’ll do everything they can. They are a bunch of great guys. I have been taking self-defense lessons so I got to meet a few of them.”

“That’s great, Selena. Wish I had time for something like that.” Holly smiled. “Even an exercise class for the kids would be nice. It is hard for them to stay active in the winter.”

“Lacy Clark is the woman who started all these classes. I’ll suggest she think about some kind of family activities. Maybe a class for the kids and one for the parents.”

Holly nodded her head. “Yeah, that would be awesome.”

Tracy came in and interrupted them with her bad attitude. “I hate to interrupt gossip-girl time but there is a patient here.”

Holly glared back at Tracy. “Watch your attitude, Tracy. We are on a break and if you have a problem take it to Dr. Anderson.”

Tracy muttered under her breath and left the room in a huff.

Holly stood up. “Ignore her, Selena. She saw you with Harrison and has been jealous ever since. She went out with him once last year so I don’t know what her problem is.”

Selena got up too and got back to work. Not even Tracy’s attitude could ruin her good feelings.

  * * * *

Harrison came to pick her up from work. She was surprised and happy to see him but as soon as she saw him she knew something was wrong. He hugged her tightly and whispered in her ear. “We’ll talk in the car, honey.”

She nodded and tried to smile but her stomach was tied in knots. Did they catch Dave? She turned to Holly and waved good-bye. She didn’t bother looking at Tracy, knowing she would only get evil looks from the girl.

She waited until they were settled in the Jeep. “Okay, what happened and how bad is it?”

Harrison frowned and reached for her hand, holding it in his warm one. “Ed was run off the road earlier. He smashed into a tree.”

“Oh my god, is he okay?” She gasped, feeling the tears coming to her eyes. If anything happened to him because of her she would never forgive herself.

“He is fine, I swear. He is at the hospital and I’m taking you over there.” She nodded and he started the Jeep and drove toward the hospital.

  “Was it Dave?”

“We think so but we have no proof. Ed was going home when a black pickup truck bumped him from behind and caused him to lose control. He went off the road and crashed into a tree. He saw a man with a baseball cap so he couldn’t be positive it was Dave,” Harrison explained as he drove. “Ed has a concussion so Doc wants him to stay overnight.”

“Okay, as long as it is not serious.” She sniffed, feeling guilty. “This is all my fault. I should never have stayed with Ed. I should have got a room at the bed and breakfast.”

“This is not your fault, Selena,” Harrison said firmly, pulling into the hospital parking lot. “Dave is just digging his own grave. Now let’s go see Ed. He is even crankier than usual and that is saying a lot.”

Selena rolled her eyes. “He is not that bad.”

; Harrison snorted but didn’t argue with her. He went to Ed’s room, holding her hand.

Ed was lying in the bed talking with Doctor Jones. She ran up to the bed and she could see an ugly purple bruise forming on his head.

“Oh, Ed,” she cried, tears running down her cheek. “I am so sorry you got hurt because of me.”

“Hey now, no tears, missy. I’m a tough old coot. Ain’t that right, Doc?” Ed mumbled, sounding tired and weak.

Doc nodded, patting Selena’s back. “Yes he is. He’ll be just fine. He is just staying here for observation.”

“I’m more worried about you,” Ed grumbled. “Dave has to know you are staying with me. If I get my hands on him he is gonna get a good old-fashioned ass whooping before I call Ryan.”

“I know how to shoot the rifle you have at home, Ed. I will be just fine,” Selena assured him. “You just get better and let the sheriff handle Dave.”

“Whoa there, calamity Jane,” Harrison chuckled when she mentioned Ed’s rifle. “Using Ed’s gun won’t be necessary. Lacy has a guest bedroom you can use or if you want you can stay with me.”

“Don’t you have to work tonight?” Selena asked him. She would love to have him nearby and not just because she was scared of Dave. She just wanted to be around him all the time but she didn’t want to appear clingy.

“Gabe is taking my night shift,” Harrison said. “His mom is visiting to help them with the baby so he doesn’t mind getting the extra hours.”

“Okay then.” She said her good-bye to Ed and she could see he was already drifting off to sleep.

“He is fine, Selena. We gave him something mild to help him sleep. By morning he will be his old self again,” Dr. Jones assured her.

“God help us all then,” Harrison muttered and Selena hit him on the arm.

Harrison drove her to his apartment. After she showered and changed they made dinner together. Harrison kept the conversation casual and light.

As Selena was flipping through the channels after dinner and settled on a sci-fi movie he said quietly, “I have a confession to make. I hope you don’t get mad at me.”

Her heart dropped to her toes. Her eyes were wide and cautious as she waited. “What?”

“I hate sci-fi movies. I just wanted you to like me.”

Selena burst out laughing and smacked his arm. “You jerk. You scared me.”

He hugged her tightly and kissed her forehead. “Sorry. I had to tell you the truth.”

She stayed leaning on his chest. When he held her it made her feel like she was precious to him. Whether it was true or not she liked the feeling. “What do you like and be honest?”

“I like comedies, thrillers, and sports. Normal man stuff.”

Selena handed him the remote and settled against him. She didn’t really care what they watched. She was just enjoying spending this time with him.

She liked the way he constantly touched her and played with her hair. Della had never been the affectionate sort and her grandfather had also been uncomfortable with displays of affection. If she fell or cried he usually patted her on the back and told her to be strong.

“Are you ready for bed?” he asked and the simple question sent tingles down below, between her legs. The atmosphere changed and it was as if sparks flew through the air.

She gave him an innocent look. She ran her fingers through his short hair. “But I’m not tired.”

Harrison must have seen the teasing look in her eye. He laughed and stood up, pulling her with him as if she weighed nothing. “Great. Nether am I.”

Once they were in his room he quickly removed her clothes and then his. She ran her hands up and down his chest and back down to his erection. It was thick and hard and standing at attention.

He moaned when her hands squeezed his cock. She kneeled down in front of him and he felt her soft lips kissing his stomach then moving down to his shaft.

“Selena, you don’t have to.” He groaned, closing his eyes.

“I want to.” She smiled up at him and she was beautiful. “I might not be good at it but I want to try.”

She used her tongue to explore his mushroom-shaped tip, softly and hesitantly at first. She licked him up and down then she opened her mouth and took him in. His cock swelled with pleasure and he grabbed her hair with his hands. He had to stifle a groan, not wanting to scare her. She enthusiastically sucked him while her hands wrapped around the base of his penis. She squeezed and pulled and he found it torturous. She formed her own rhythm and he was lost in the pleasure.

She bopped her head back and forth and when she moaned he felt the vibrations. He could feel his stomach muscles tighten. “That feels so good, baby.”

She stopped and grinned. She looked so pleased with herself he couldn’t help but smile. He found himself smiling a lot when she was around. “You like?”

“Too much.” He chuckled and pulled her on to her feet. He laid her on the bed and spread her creamy thighs open. Her pink pussy glistened with cream and he winked at her. “My turn.”

He dove into his treat with his tongue, licking her swollen folds and using his fingers to open them wide. Her small bud was red and he swiped it with his tongue. She tasted as sweet as honey and he enjoyed the sounds of her pleasure.

He tortured her until he felt her cream increase and she yelled out his name.

He rolled a condom on. He leaned above her and her cheeks were flushed and pink. He entered her quickly this time and groaned when she gripped him tightly like a glove.

“I love being inside you, Selena.”

She looked up at him and her smile was so sweet and genuine. “I love having you inside of me, Harrison. It makes me feel like I am flying free above the world.”

Her eyes watered and he leaned down and kissed her lips lightly. He couldn’t speak so he showed her she was precious to him.

She caressed his back and his shoulders and wrapped her legs around his hips to bring them closer. Harrison smiled. She was a natural born seductress. He thrust in and out slowly, driving them both crazy.

“Harrison, stop teasing me.” She moaned trying to get him to go faster. She gripped his hips with her hands.

He laughed. “Okay, if I am not doing it right you take over.”

He pulled out and laid his back flat on the bed with his hands behind his head. His cock pointed to the ceiling, hard and long.

She arched an eyebrow up. “I see. You think I am too shy to take what I want?”

She straddled his hips and her breasts swayed with the action. Shit, this was a bad idea. His cock twitched with excitement.

She leaned down and kissed his chest and licked his nipples. He groaned and she gave him a sultry smile. “Hmm. Do I want slow and torturous or fast and hard?”

He grabbed her hips and lifted her up. He set her back down on his hard cock, her wetness making it easy.

“More action, less talking,” he said grouchily and she threw her head back and laughed.

She started rotating her hips slowly, leaning down to kiss his neck. She gave him a light bite but he liked it. He was right. She was naturally good at this but no other man would ever discover her secret. He was not a dumb man. He was holding her close to him.

She started riding his cock up and down. Harrison looked up at her, his hands on her hips. Her eyes were closed and her mouth was slightly parted. Her head was thrown back in pleasure. Her rounded breasts swayed with each thrust and he reached up and cupped them. He played with her nipples, pinching and pulling, making her moan.

They reached their climax at the same time. She leaned down on him but didn’t disconnect.

He rubbed her back softly back and forth.

“How did I do?” she said smugly.

He hugged her, breathing hard. “Can’t talk. My heart is pounding like a locomotive train.”

Selena laughed and kissed his chest softly. He heard her whisper, “Damn I’m good.”

  He agreed.

  Chapter 14

&nbs
p; That Sunday when the restaurant was closed Lacy and Stella planned to decorate the diner for Halloween. Selena volunteered to help them so they could get done quicker. She had wanted to see Harrison but he got called in to help with a car accident at the state park.

Lily, Stella’s daughter, was in a walker and playing with a toy. She was babbling to herself.

Selena was helping Lacy hang skeletons with funny faces from the ceiling. She was telling them about her progress with Harrison. She didn’t tell them she slept with him because it felt too private.

“I am so happy for you.” Stella beamed. “Harrison is a little quieter than the other guys but he seems really nice. I went to school with Logan so I know him the best. He is such a jokester.”

“Harrison is a lot nicer than he looks. When I first met him I thought of him as scary and I avoided him,” Selena explained. She was still walking on air but at the same time feeling like maybe one of the clouds she was walking on would burst and she would fall helplessly downward. It was frightening but she didn’t mention that thought out loud.

“So what is going on with them finding Dave?” Stella asked with curiosity. “What an ass to be putting you through all this hell.”

“I don’t know anything new,” Selena said tiredly. “Ed is back home and doing great. I feel so bad that he got hurt because of me. I don’t understand Dave. Why mess with me? I never spoke more than two words to him. He has Della and many other women hanging all over him.”

Lacy sat down to take a sip of her water. “Maybe he saw you as a challenge. You weren’t fawning all over him so he thought he would come on to you. Some men have huge egos and that must have been a dent to his.”

Stella nodded and sat down. “That could be true. Plus you’re beautiful too.”

Selena shook her head. “Nah, I’m average looking. I am just so impatient I guess. I know everyone is looking for him but I hate having to look over my shoulder every second. My head and stomach hurt most of the time.”
