“Don’t get it,” I said. “It’s almost sunrise.”
But he didn’t listen to me, and got out his phone anyway. He started talking in an urgent but hushed tone, while I sat on the bed, and then lay down on the burgundy sheets. Finally, he hung up, his expression grim.
“What’s up?” I asked.
“That was Cora. It’s already begun.”

Donna Ansari was born in New York City and has lived there for most of her life. Donna graduated from Pace University with a BA in Literature and Communications. Since then, she has been working as an editor, primarily in the field of medical education.
