“Can y’all please just stop?” Aleesha yelled, trying to break up the argument.
“Man, fuck this nigga cuh,” Cali said as he stood his ground.
“Cali stop, just c’mon!” Aleesha yelled as she turned around, trying to push Cali away.
“Do something, nigga!” Savage yelled.
“Baby, what’s goin’ on?” Noelle asked Savage as she joined his side. She had seen the commotion from the booth, and had bulldozed her way through the crowd when she realized Savage was involved.
Before anyone could say anything else, security had come to escort all of them out. “I’m going to have to ask all of you to leave,” he said.
“Say no mas, we outta here,” Aleesha told him as she, Cali and Juice turned and started walking away. Savage, Marcus, and Noelle did the same.
Cali, Aleesha and the rest of their crew were the first to make it outside. Aleesha, Milasia and Lala had their arms interlocked with one another as they walked. The guys walked ahead as they talked amongst each other. They spotted Milasia’s Acura once they made it to the parking lot, and waited around for the ladies to join them.
“Mila, can you give me a ride home?” Aleesha asked, brushing past Cali. She stopped and stood next to the back passenger door.
“Here we go,” Cali mumbled under his breath.
“Yeah, I’ll take you,” Milasia answered as she fumbled to get her keys out of her Alexander Wang clutch.
“Man Aleesha, come on,” Cali said, pulling her close to him.
“I’m not going anywhere with you Cali,” Aleesha told him.
“Dude, come the fuck on.”
“No,” she said as she stepped away from him. “I don’t wanna go with you. You’re drunk and I don’t feel like arguing with you.”
They heard someone else arguing, and turned around and seen that Savage, Noelle, Marcus, and the couple they were with were walking in their direction.
“Why the fuck were you talking to that bitch anyway?” they heard Noelle scream at Savage as they got closer.
“Bitch, cuz I can talk to whoever the fuck I feel like talkin’ to!” they heard Savage yell back.
Once they got in the parking lot, Aleesha smirked at Noelle.
“Boo, bitch!” Noelle yelled at Aleesha when she walked past her.
“Who are you talking to?” Aleesha retorted, pushing past Cali.
Cali grabbed her arm and pulled her back. “Man calm down, let that shit go,” he said as he grabbed her around the waist.
“Fuck that bitch,” Aleesha said.
Noelle stopped walking a few feet away once she seen that Cali was holding Aleesha back. “I’m talking to you!” she screamed as she walked a little closer. Savage grabbed her and pulled her back.
“Don’t try and act bold cuz yo nigga right here, bitch. I’ll mop the floor wit’ yo ass!” Aleesha yelled. Everyone stepped back as the two couples began to quarrel. “Babe, let me go!” she screamed at Cali while trying to break free of his grip. She swung over him trying to hit Noelle, and hit Savage on the side of his face.
“Damn, Aleesha!” Savage yelled as he felt the pain from the blow spread across his face.
“Nigga, don’t yell at my bitch!” Cali yelled, letting go of Aleesha as he stepped toward Savage.
“Fuck you, you ol’ bitch ass nigga!” Savage yelled as he let go of Noelle and took a step toward Cali. He swung two quick jabs at Cali, hitting him in the jaw and making him stumble into Milasia’s car.
“Fuck, stop!” Aleesha screamed as she hurriedly moved out of the way.
Cali regained his composure, but Savage was too quick. He rushed Cali and continued throwing blows at him.
“Stop! Marcus, please get him!” Aleesha screamed at Marcus.
Savage let up for one second, and Cali took the opportunity. He socked Savage in the mouth as he rushed him to the floor. The two men began wrestling around on the ground, swinging at each other.
“Juice, Marcus. Please stop them!” Aleesha yelled out.
Marshawn and Juice ran and grabbed Cali, while Marcus snatched Savage up.
“Mila, take Aleesha home,” Cali said, staring Savage down.
“Cali—” Aleesha started to say.
“Go!” he yelled at her before she could finish what she was saying.
Savage just laughed. “I’ma catch yo bitch ass in the streets,” he said to Cali as he walked away.
“I’ll be waitin’, pussy ass nigga!” Cali yelled back as he walked toward his car.
Valentine’s Day
The next morning when Aleesha woke up, she made her and Lala a hearty breakfast. She didn’t want to be home alone after the events from the night before, so Lala stayed the night with her. After they ate, Aleesha took Lala home so she could grab a few things, then they went back to Aleesha’s. They didn’t have plans to go out until later that evening, so they hung around until it was time to get their night started.
“What’s wrong best friend?” Lala asked Aleesha as they were sitting on her queen bed, smoking a blunt and listening to “Cheerleader” by Problem.
“I think that baby really is Cali’s,” Aleesha answered, staring off into space.
“Why?” Lala asked as she handed her the blunt.
“Cuz the baby looks just like him,” Aleesha said, taking a hit from the blunt. “I mean dead on that nigga. Same eyes, nose, everything. She’s pretty though, look.” She handed Lala her HTC EVO and the blunt.
“Awww, she is pretty,” Lala said, staring at the picture. “Damn, she does look dead on him. So what you bout to do?” she asked Aleesha, passing her back her phone.
“Best, I don’t even know. This shit fucked me up, like real talk. I mean I’ve never expected the type of niggas I fuck with to be faithful,” Aleesha said as she accepted the blunt Lala was passing to her. She took a hit and continued expressing herself. “They’re hustlers, and bitches will always be after niggas with money, no matter if they ugly, old, mentally retarded, whatever. A bitch ‘ah bust it open real quick. And bitch no lie, if I was a nigga and some of the bitches they fuck wit was throwin’ they pussy at me, I’d hit too.”
“Best friend you stupid,” Lala said, laughing.
“I know, but I’m dead ass serious,” Aleesha said as she took a hit from the blunt and passed it to Lala. “I knew what to expect being with a hustler. I was raised by one. Shit, my daddy was never faithful until the day him and my momma got married, and bitch I was ten years old by then,” she said with a look of disappointment. “But at least he never had a baby by another bitch, and my momma ain’t ever caught him fucking another bitch. These new niggas is just too disrespectful. I swear they got the game all fucked up.”
“Why do you keep fucking around with these niggas then?” Lala asked as she took a hit from the blunt. She couldn’t understand why her best friend kept dealing with the same type of men and their bullshit.
“I don’t know. Maybe because I think it’ll be different. I’m not saying I want my nigga to be cheating or that I just openly allow it, but damn, at least they could be slick about it. I can’t be mad though,” Aleesha said as if she was in deep thought. “A lot of these niggas was never taught how to be faithful because every man they knew cheated on their woman. And a lot of them were raised by hoe ass women. If they momma or whoever else raised them was trickin’ and had different men around, then they grew up thinking that all women are hoes. So of course they wouldn’t be faithful because they think eventually they’ll get cheated on, and that all women are the same.”
“Damn, that’s so true,” Lala said as she passed Aleesha the blunt.
“I know right. It’s a fucked up ass world. You can’t raise a man, so now you just gotta let them learn on their own. And I definitely ain’t the one to sit around and wait until they do.”
“So what are you going to do about Cali and this maybe baby?”
“Girl, I know it’s his. Everything in my right mind is telling me that it is. And as you see she looks just
like him. I’m just waiting for him to tell me the truth so I can slap the shit outta him.”
“So you staying with him?” Lala asked.
“Hell no. I’d rather be back with Savage than to deal with some fucking baby momma drama. All that bullshit is for the birds.”
“I heard the hell out of that.”
They sat around and talked more until it was time for them to start getting ready. They had been invited to a Valentine’s Day house party, and their ride would be arriving at 8 o’clock. After they both showered, it was 6:45 p.m., and neither of them knew exactly what they wanted to wear. They spent about 30 minutes putting together the perfect outfit, then got dressed. Aleesha wore a red V-neck with black skinny jeans, while Lala wore a black V-neck with red skinny jeans, and they both wore black, red and white ‘Wings for the Future’ Air Jordan’s. They spent the next 45 minutes smoking a blunt and doing their hair. Aleesha styled hers in a high ponytail while Lala pinned her shoulder length hair in a banana clip to the left side of her head. Once their ride arrived, they were relaxed and ready to go.
Aleesha and Lala were picked up in a brand new 2011 Chevy Suburban by one of Milasia’s friends. She and a couple of their other friends were already inside the SUV when they got in. They made a couple of more stops and picked up a few more people, then the driver headed to the party.
It took them a little over half an hour to drive to Oak Hills where the party was, but Milasia decided to wait until they were five minutes away to drop a bomb on Aleesha. “Hey, Leelee,” she said as she turned around in her seat to talk to Aleesha.
“Wassup hoe,” Aleesha playfully replied back.
“Shit. Guess what?”
“What?”
“Guess who’s coming to the party?”
“Who?”
“Savage and Marcus,” Milasia stated plainly.
“Bitch, don’t play,” Aleesha said, feeling as if she was going to have an anxiety attack.
“I’m not. Marcus posted on Facebook that they’re comin’ and finna function tonight.”
“Mila, are you serious?” Aleesha asked as her heart began pounding.
“Yes,” Milasia said with a cunning smile.
“Oh my God, Cali is coming. How the fuck did they know about this party anyway?”
“Bitch, you know Trey is from Swag Inc. I’m pretty sure he invited them. Shit, his ass was inviting everybody.”
“Oh fuck I forgot about that,” Aleesha said as she put her head in her hands. “Fuck, what the hell am I supposed to do?” she asked, looking back up at Milasia.
“I don’t know, but you better find a way to keep them far away from each other,” Milasia said as she turned around in her seat.
Five minutes later, they arrived at the enormous house. Loud music was coming from inside, and people were everywhere on the property. Aleesha immediately felt knots forming in her stomach when she spotted Marcus’s Mitsubishi Galant. She knew Cali was on his way and would be arriving any minute.
Once inside the house, Aleesha sat and waited on the stairs in the foyer for Cali to arrive. The lights were dimmed, and she could see people dancing while others stood as wallflowers. Some people were sitting around rolling up blunts, smoking weed, or drinking, or a mixture of all three, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves but Aleesha. She didn’t know how she would keep the men from seeing each other, but she knew she had to try.
“Here best friend,” Lala yelled over the music as she handed her a cup.
“What is it?” Aleesha asked, taking a sip.
“It’s jungle juice. Bomb, huh?” Lala took a seat on the stairs next to Aleesha.
“Yeah,” Aleesha said, taking a big gulp from the cup.
“Damn bitch, slow down. That shit will fuck you up.”
“I can’t. My nerves is bad. I need to be drunk to deal with the bullshit that’s finna happen tonight.”
“Stop thinking about it too much. Don’t wish bad cuz bad things will happen. We’re here to party and have fun, shit fuck it.”
“I know, but both of them are hot heads and if they see each other, neither one of them will let what happened last night slide.”
“Yeah, so you better just party hardy while you can. C’mon, come dance with me,” Lala said standing up, holding her hand down to help Aleesha up.
“Alright,” Aleesha said as she grabbed Lala’s hand and stood up. She gulped the rest of her drink down, sat the cup on the stairs, and made her way into the living room to dance.
“Patty Cake” by YG came on, and Lala pushed Aleesha close to the wall and began twerking on her.
“Ay!” some random guy yelled as he noticed the girl-on-girl dancing taking place. He got against the wall behind Aleesha and pulled her against him, and she began twerking on him as Lala twerked on her. They continued to dance throughout the song as the women switched turns twerking on the guy. After the song went off, the ladies were parched and decided to get some more jungle juice.
“I see you had fun dancin’ wit’ ol’ boy over there,” Aleesha heard as she turned around and came face to face with Cali.
“Hi, baby!” she exclaimed as she gave him a hug.
“Yeah, whatever,” he said as he pushed her away.
“Damn, what you mad for? We are at a party.”
“So that means that gives every nigga in here the right to feel all over you?” he asked irritably.
“Man, you trippin’. C’mon Lala,” she said as she and Lala turned and started walking away.
“Why you walking away?”
“Cuz I don’t feel like arguing with you. This shit is stupid,” Aleesha said over her shoulder.
“Whatever bitch, fuck you!” Cali yelled as she walked away.
“Whatever. Fuck you too!” she yelled over her shoulder as she flipped him the middle finger.
“Damn, what’s wrong with him?” Lala asked as she and Aleesha made their way into the kitchen. A full buffet was being catered, including chicken wings, ribs, macaroni, potato salad, and vegetable platters.
“I don’t know, I don’t even care no more. Fuck him,” Aleesha said as they walked past the food. They made their way into the dining room, where a game of beer pong was being played.
“Isn’t that Savage’s friend over there?” Lala asked, pointing across the room.
“Oh shit,” Aleesha said when she noticed Marcus. “Yeah, that’s Marcus.”
“He’s cute.”
“Ew, really? I guess,” Aleesha said as she noticed her friend gawking over him. “Shit, go over there and talk to him. He likes you too.”
“How?” Lala asked, confused. “He ain’t ever met me.”
“I told yo ass that’s why I was talking to Savage at the club. Marcus was trying to get at you.”
“Oh yeah. Go over there with me.”
“Do I have to?” Aleesha asked, not wanting to go, fearing Savage would be near.
“Yes bitch, come on,” Lala said as she pulled Aleesha toward Marcus’s direction.
Aleesha stopped in her tracks. “Wait, I gotta go to the bathroom.”
“Oh my gosh, c’mon bitch,” Lala said as they turned around. They left out of the dining room and headed back through the kitchen to the living room. “Where’s the bathroom?” Lala asked a random guy standing on the wall.
“There’s one upstairs,” he replied back.
Aleesha stopped to look around for Cali, but didn’t spot him anywhere. They walked into the foyer and headed up the staircase, and as they were going up, Savage was coming down.
“Fuck,” Aleesha said as she spotted him. They continued heading up the stairs like they didn’t see him.
“Wassup Aleesha, what’s good Lala?” he asked as they passed him.
“Hey, nothing, restroom,” they said as they hurried past him. He went back up the stairs and waited for them to come out.
“So where yo nigga at, Leelee?” Savage asked as soon as Aleesha walked back out.
“Omg Savage please leave
me alone. You always end up being a problem for me,” Aleesha said as she and Lala walked past him.
“Man, c’mere,” he said, grabbing her hand. He pulled her closer to him and wrapped his arm around the small of her back, as Lala stood against the wall and watched the stairs. Aleesha could smell the alcohol on his breath and the coconut oil in his hair as he bent his head down to whisper in her ear. “Don’t act like you don’t wanna be around a nigga. I know you miss me.”
“I really don’t, Savage,” she said as she avoided looking him in the face.
“Yes you do. Yo nigga can’t do the things that I do,” he said, kissing her on the neck right below the ear, making her body quiver.
“Stop Savage,” she said with a light moan, “you have a girlfriend.”
Aleesha tried to gently push him away, but Savage held on to her and pulled her tighter against him. “You know you don’t want me to stop. Leave that nigga, man. I miss you Leelee, and I ain’t with that bitch no more,” he whispered into her ear.
“That’s what you said the other day,” she said, trying to resist him.
“Yeah but I mean it this time. I love you.” He continuously kissed her on the neck. “And I want you, Leelee.”
Aleesha became like putty as her body softened in Savage’s arm. She let out soft moans and could feel her pussy getting wetter each time he kissed her. “Savage, stop,” she said as she finally got enough strength to push him away. She turned around and jogged down the steps and walked back to the kitchen, with Lala following behind her.
“Damn, Leelee. What the hell just happened?” Lala asked her once they stopped by the buffet.
“Man, I don’t even know,” Aleesha responded, trying to regain her composure.
“So wassup, my nigga?” they heard a hostile male voice yell as the beat dropped from a song.
“Wassup, nigga?” they heard another male voice yell.
Everyone started getting quiet as Aleesha and Lala made their way to the living room. The music was lowered and the males continued to argue. As they tried to squeeze through the crowd, Aleesha could see Savage and Cali face to face, both surrounded by a few of their home boys. She and Lala squeezed through just in time to see the first punch thrown. Cali hit Savage with a right hook and it became an all-out riot after that. Men from both sides began wildly throwing punches at each other as nearby partygoers moved out the way to avoid being hit. Just as the hosts of the party were trying to step in to intervene, three loud gunshots were let off.
