Worlds Collide Page 30

by Tracy St. John

As she hesitated over her answer, caught between Jape’s challenge and the increasing clamor for release, he decided for her. He flipped them over, executing the maneuver with shocking grace.

His weight was on her once more, adding to the excitement. Pinning her, along with the tails holding her open to him. His groin thudded against her, making her tighter, hotter, wetter.

  “Jape!”

He grinned down at her, though his constant shuddering hinted that he was on the verge as well. “Velia. My beautiful, incredible Velia.”

The climb to fulfillment was beginning in truth. Molten ecstasy flared and leapt higher, fed by the friction of those stiff ridges against her internal hotspot. Velia grabbed hold of Jape’s shoulders, holding on for dear life as jagged edges of rapture caught within.

His eyelids fluttered, his breath fast and heavy. “I’m almost there. I’m taking you with me.”

“Yes. Yes!” Another burst of incredible feeling, announcing impending bliss. Velia moved against Jape as best she was able, chasing that wondrous end.

He chuffed with each out breath. He was close. Velia fought to catch up to him. “Wait. Wait for me.”

“I’ve got you. I’ve got you.”

His groin rippled against hers, softening, clutching, drawing in her clit. Pulling on it. Yanking her up to the brink, leaving her hovering on the edge, ready to fall. She teetered on that pinpoint, balancing precariously, her whole being holding its breath as it stared at that long fall. That sweet, obliterating fall.

  She strangle-screamed, “Yes!”

The flesh clutching her clit twitched. Shivered. Vibrated, sending lightning into her. There was a second of soundlessness, of blinding whiteness, of acute sensation.

Jape’s roar came from far off. “With me! With me!”

  Always.

Velia flew off that peak, not falling, but soaring on waves of glory with Jape. They rode the currents, clinging and crying out in their mingled joy. Even after they landed, parts of them remained aloft, dizzy with what they’d found...and accepted. They’d surmounted the challenges, obstacles that had tied them closer than instant camaraderie ever could have.

“I love you.” They spoke the words at the same instant, in hard-won accord.

  About the Author

Tracy St. John is the author of science fiction romance, including three bestselling series. The author of over forty books, she also writes paranormal romances. She lives in Georgia with her husband and son, indulging in fun-filled hobbies like fending off mosquitos and running from hurricanes.

Tracy has worked in video production, in front of and behind the camera. She was often cast as the gun-toting bad gal, getting handcuffed in the end. She hopes that hot alien cops will intercept those videos and investigate her for crimes she’d be glad to commit. They can easily lure her into their spaceship with wine, chocolate, and promises she can sleep in for a change.

At the age of eight, Tracy wrote her first story. Featuring her dachshund Butch, it was appropriately titled, My Dog Butch. It received glowing accolades from her grandmother. Writing has been a big part of Tracy’s life ever since.

Influenced by her love for science fiction and her mother’s enthusiastic insistence that Mr. Spock was one sexy alien, few were surprised when Tracy embarked on writing science fiction romance. Her first book, Alien Embrace, was the culmination of those inspirations. There also might have been some contributions made during a drunken happy hour with coworkers, whose creative suggestions for alien physical attributes scarred Tracy for life. Nevertheless, she honored a few of those suggestions for her books and has felt delightfully dirty ever since.

Tracy is notoriously hard to find, as the rock she hides under looks like all the other rocks in the vicinity. However, readers can track her down at her website at www.tracystjohn.com or her blog at tracystjohn.blogspot.ca. You can find her on Twitter, @TracySaintJohn
