After they were decent again, Sin opened the door and led her back to the party. He stopped at the drink table to pour a glass of punch. With Callie’s hand in his, he glanced around the room, looking for Missy, spotting her near where he left her. Riley was still talking to her and Missy looked like she was having a good time.
“I’m going to tell her we’re leaving.” Callie crossed the dance floor to where Missy stood, Sin following behind. “Missy, we’re going to leave now. Do you have a ride home?”
Missy smiled at Sin. “Riley offered to take me home.”
Sin tipped the glass to his lips, keeping his eyes on Missy’s new love interest. The boy really didn’t seem all that bad.
“You have a curfew, you know.” Callie propped her hand on her hip, her eyes speaking volumes of the distrust she had for the boy. “And I don’t want you leaving the school to go to another party. If you leave, you come home. And no…you know…”
Missy looked horrified and embarrassed.
Sin squeezed Callie’s shoulder. “Have fun, Missy. You have my cell number if you need anything.”
The teenager nodded. “Riley, will you excuse me for a second?”
She wrapped her arms around Callie, taking her sister by surprise. “Stop worrying, sis. Riley is a good guy.”
“I’m still waiting up.”
Missy pulled back and gave her sister a quick peck on the cheek and turned to Sin. “Thanks, Drummer Boy. For everything.”
“Anytime, Missy. Anytime.”
Epilogue
Three months later
“Now this is a bachelor party.” Midas grinned at his friends. “Shots of tequila and half naked women. What more could a guy ask for?”
Taye had gained exclusive access to Scandalous and the strippers who worked there, making sure the party was going in full fledge. He’d even invited a few other bands to come join the fun, most of which were young hip rockers who reminded Sin of himself back in the day.
Sin smirked. “I couldn’t care less, man. I want to be at home with Callie.”
Taye poured them another round from the bottle the table. “I swear, what’s with you and Hawkins? Ever since you’ve met these women, our social life together has gone to the gutters. What makes them so different than those strippers up on stage?”
Ben shook his head at Taye’s offer of a shot. “It’s called growing up, Daniels. Not like you’d understand that though.”
“Shit. Why settle for one when you can have them all?” Taye tipped the glass back and downed the amber liquid. “Speaking of which, I think I want a lap dance.”
Midas grabbed his beer and took a sip. “Marriage is for some of us, Taye. Not all of us though.”
Sin nodded and stood. “Look, I know I’m supposed to want the stripper, last night of freedom thing, but all I want is Callie in my arms right now. I’m checking out.”
“I need to get home too. Mariah bought some new lingerie and she needs me to be the judge.” Ben grinned. “Got to approve, you know.”
Taye gawked at them. “Are you serious? This is like the worst bachelor party ever! Sin, it’s your party. You haven’t even had a lap dance yet.”
Sin laid a few bills on the table. “Why have a lap dance when I can go home and fuck the most beautiful woman in the world? Besides, these girls have given more rides than Greyhound. It’s not my style anymore.”
“I thought you couldn’t see the bride on her wedding day or some bullshit like that?” Taye tipped another shot back and slammed the glass on the table. “Wouldn’t that be like a bad omen or something to sleep with your fiancée on the night before your wedding?”
“Nothing’s keeping me away from my bride. Not even you guys.” Sin walked out, leaving Taye in a dazed stupor.
“Can you believe him? He used to be the first one to buy the lap dances. He barely even noticed the women here.” Taye shook his head.
Midas grabbed the bottle from his cousin. “Go get your lap dance. You need to lay off the liquor a bit. The last thing I want to face is Callie pissed off because I let you come to her wedding hung over.”
Taye took his advice and glanced around the room only to find a pretty red-headed stripper coming out of the backroom. Her hair was long and fell down her back in silky waves. She wore a blue sequined dress that barely covered her ass. The fabric of the dress barely contained her large breasts as she sashayed toward him. Taye was thunderstruck.
He gave her a smile, which she returned. She was new and pretty. Her creamy skin made his mouth water as he watched her move about, clearly not interested in anyone but him.
She was the one . And in five minutes, he’d prove not only to himself but his buddies that sex was way more fun with an anonymous stranger. He didn’t need marriage.
She came to the table and smiled. “Hi.”
Taye’s lips curled upward. “Hello, gorgeous.”
