Scrap Everything

I’m grateful to Debbie Smouse and Faye and Keith Foster for sharing their kidney-transplant experiences, and to Cary Legros, RN; Tammy Seber, RN, BSN, CNN, Renal-Pancreas Transplant Coordinator; and Debbie Whitehurst, RN, BSN, Pediatric Renal Transplant Coordinator, for answering my many medical questions. (Any mistakes are entirely my own.)

I want to acknowledge scrapbooker Lorraine TenHaken and entrepreneur Bobbie Underhill for granting me interviews, Elizabeth Peters for sharing her scrapbooking stories, and Libby Salter for giving me actual scrapbooking experience. Also, thanks to Pastor Randy Shaw for inspiring me through his teaching and to Nancy Ellen Row for reading the manuscript in its early stages.

My lifelong thanks go to Wally, Marva, Teresa, Calla, and Sam Walker for their friendship and generosity and the opportunities they’ve given my family and me to hang out with them and their horses.

I cannot thank my mother, Leora Egger, enough for her endless love and support, in life and in writing. I’m also grateful to my brother Kelvin Egger for sharing his cougar story and for his care toward my family and me. A very special thank-you to Hana Gould for inspiring me to write this novel.

Most important, I want to honor God the Father, who provides the way to keep us from giving in to fear.
