The Sun Dragon's Mate Page 11

He moved his lips to Griffith’s ear. “Then fuck me.”

Griffith growled in answer, pinning Noah more firmly to the ground.

There was no place on a dragon’s body to store lube, sadly, but Griffith slicked his hand with spit and ran it up the length of Noah’s cock, causing him to arch in pleasure. Then the hard warm flesh of Griffith’s cock pressed against his, and Griffith had them both in hand.

Noah’s brain shorted out. The mate mark on his abdomen burned. He felt an answering heat from the one he’d placed on Griffith. Once again their flames merged, orange and white. He looked up, and Griffith’s eyes were the dragon’s again, flaring with animal intensity.

He’d never felt such a primal need to fuck before. He wanted Griffith deep inside him, marking him everywhere. He wanted to feel the burn and stretch of Griffith’s cock in him, the blissful fullness of flesh in flesh. But in the absence of lube, he’d take the hot, sweet sensation of Griffith’s cock against his, Griffith’s hand working them both to completion.

Noah came first, his seed spattering over his abdomen and chest. Griffith reared back, cock in hand, and Noah’s heart pounded as hot jets of Griffith’s come hit his oversensitized flesh in as primitive a marking as the mate bond. His own cock twitched, nearly coming again in reaction.

When he looked up, Griffith wore an expression of pure smug satisfaction, looking at his seed painting Noah’s chest. Then, as the dragon left him, he blinked and sought out Noah’s eyes in sudden remorse. “I can’t believe I just did that.”

Noah laughed. “Are you kidding me? That was hot.” He pulled Griffith down to him, making him just as sticky with their mingled seed.

Griffith rolled to the side and took Noah’s hand, squeezing it in shared, mutual intimacy. “Was it what you thought it would be?”

“No,” Noah said, trying to work through the bright chaos of his thoughts. “I thought I’d just turn into a dragon. That I wouldn’t be me anymore. But it was like…like becoming a different aspect of myself, that had always been there, even if I hadn’t learned to acknowledge it.”

He wasn’t sure why he’d ever been afraid of his sun dragon. He could feel it now, rumbling beneath the surface, but it was no longer a foreign presence. It was part of him. Maybe he’d still need to learn the finer aspects of learning to control it—according to Griffith, it took years for a shifter coming into his shift to learn how to do it properly—but at least now he knew that he could.

The sun had fallen low behind the trees. The cabin was far away, miles away on the other side of the lake. Noah couldn’t bring himself to care. The air was cool, but he was still warm from the chase and its culmination. There wasn’t anything he needed other than what he had right here.

“If we’re going to get back before nightfall, we’d better start walking now,” Griffith finally said, though Noah could hear his mirrored regret of having to move.

“We could walk,” Noah said slowly. “Or, you know. We could fly.”

Griffith turned his head to look at him, a grin on his face. “Think you can outfly me this time?”

“Give me a few minutes,” Noah said, “and then see if you can catch me.”
