INFLUENCED: A Good Girl, Bad Boy Love Story Page 18

by Keyes, Janae

“I was a bitch to him. When we got back to the A after the weekend. I just ignored him. Thought I could make the feelings go away. He came to that one dance practice to see me, we hooked up in his car that night. I then shut him out again. When he and I showed up at the courthouse at the same time, damn, those feelings was all up on me,” she confessed.

“You like him. Go for it!” I cheered. “Look at me, I finally said yes to my feelings. I don’t think I’ve ever been happier.”

“You’re right. I’m going to try, because if I don’t, I’m scared of the what-ifs.”

Joe grabbed up her bag and we left the room we used for class at the community center behind. The crickets echoed in the night as we stepped into the warm air. I took out the keys to my car and unlocked it when my phone went off. It was a text from Spencer.

Don’t go home, Peaches. Meet me at the following address.

Only seconds later, another text came through with an address. I wondered what he was up to. I didn’t have time to go for any visits, I wanted him so bad. Through my sexual frustration though, I was excited to see what Spencer had up his sleeve.

I drove into ATL proper as my GPS led me to the designated address. I pulled up in front of a row of townhouses. They were beautiful, brick lined, three stories. The kind of place I’d always imagined myself living when I was finally able to get a place of my own.

Finding the particular townhouse that Spencer wanted me to meet him at wasn’t difficult, as his beloved sports car sat in the driveway.

Figuring I could park there too, I parked right next to Spencer and exited into the muggy air. Though it was evening and the sun had set, it was still warm enough for me to walk around comfortably outside in my tiny dance shorts and off the shoulder crop top.

Locking my car, I skipped to the door, the song from dance still in my head as I hummed it. I looked up at the outside of the house as I walked. I saw a bench swing on the second floor landing, whoever owned this house was lucky.

My finger pressed the doorbell, I could hear it chiming through the inside of the large townhouse.

“Come in!” I heard Spencer’s voice call from the other side.

Taking the knob, I pushed the door open and entered the house. My breath was completely stolen away in awe. The place was impeccably furnished and the open plan drew me in right away. The first thing that caught my eye was the large and intricate wooden light fixture that hung above the entrance way.

“Spence!” I called into the house.

“Over here, Peaches.” I followed the sound of his voice and found my boyfriend sitting on the living room floor in front of one of the two comfy looking dark chocolate brown leather couches.

“Hey, what are we doing here?” I asked as I slowly neared him.

“We’re having dessert. Come sit with me.”

Fully rounding the couch, I saw that Spencer had two plates on the floor with my absolute favorite, strawberry cheesecake. I squealed in delight, not just at the cheesecake, but the candles lit on the coffee table. He’d gone through a little bit of trouble to make this happen, I appreciated every single second.

I sat down on the floor and leaned into Spencer, who drew me into a deep kiss. My hormones were already raging and I was eager to allow him to take me right there, but there was cheesecake.

Breaking away, I gave him a grin. “Whose house is this?” I asked as I picked up my fork and dug into the cheesecake, taking a bite, and relishing in the creamy goodness. “Mmm, this is good,” I mumbled with my mouth full.

“It’s our house,” Spencer answered plainly.

I nearly choked as the cheesecake was just sliding down my throat. My eyes wide, I stared at him. This wasn’t our place, not this beautiful home. We lived in a pool house on his parent’s property and I was completely fine with that. Our living arrangement was perfect for me, as long as I didn’t have to be under my mother’s roof any longer.

“Don’t choke there, Peaches, and yes, this is our house. That’s what Kyle and I were up to this afternoon. We met the real estate agent here and saw the house, I fell in love with it right away. Do you love it, Peaches?” His hand had made its way to my face, thumb caressing my cheek, I leaned into his touch.

“I absolutely love it so far,” I answered before he pulled me into a deep and hungry kiss.

“Good, I spent all the rest of the afternoon at the bank finishing the paperwork and mortgage papers as fast as I could because I wanted to get you home, to our home, and fuck you in every single room,” he growled against my lips before taking a nip at my bottom lip. Shivers ran through to my core, causing me to moan.

“When do we start?” I asked slyly with a grin on my face.

Spencer moved our plates of cheesecake to the coffee table before he came at me, hungry, and eager. His hands slipped under my crop top, caressing my skin as they worked toward my heaving chest.

“The closet upstairs is huge, enough room to put all your clothes that are overflowing in the pool house. Though, I don’t see why you need all of them. I prefer you naked,” he insisted, as he lifted my top over my head, exposing my dark caramel skin and bright yellow bra. “Too many layers Miss. Reese, tsk tsk.”

Spencer’s years in Europe had made him an expert, he could unhook my bras faster than I could. Topless, I allowed Spencer to plant hot kisses along my stomach, drawing me in, my eyes fluttering shut, moans escaping my lips.

The warmth of his lips left my skin at once. My eyes fluttered open to find Spencer beginning to stand. I was confused until he presented me with his hand. I took it and he yanked me up in one fluid motion.

“Let me show you around.” He laced our fingers as we began to move through the house.

The walls were relatively plain and I already had ideas of what types of paintings and photos to hang. Just below the first floor landing was a large wall. I imagined a large canvas hanging there with our wedding photo, Spencer and I, newlyweds. My cheeks burned as I smiled to myself.

“I think you love it,” Spencer commented, looking down at me, his hands slipping around my waist before we entered the large, open kitchen.

I gasped. The dark wood cabinets, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances were absolutely perfect. Rubbing my hands together, I was already eager to get to work in the kitchen. I grew up helping Lucinda cook on occasion and everything I knew was because of her.

There were those visions again. Me standing in the kitchen, my belly round and sticking out, standing at the counter, chopping fresh fruits I’d picked up at the farmer’s market. I was that girl, the one who dreamed of getting married, having a family, and making a home.

Embarrassment flooded me, it wasn’t as if Spencer could see my visions, but I still was embarrassed because I didn’t know his future plans. My ideas could be too grandiose for our relationship, but I felt deep inside we were something that was going to last.

In the entryway to the kitchen, one of the large wooden beams was etched with markings that indicated the growth of a child or multiple children. My heartbeat was strong and hard, I wanted to add to it.

Before I could take another look around, Spencer pressed my back to the beam, the cold sending shivers down my spine. HIs lips greedily attacking mine, his hands on my body, taking in everything he could.

“First room, get ready, Peaches, this might take all night,” Spencer whispered, a twinkle in his dark blue eyes that made my heart skip.

My tiny shorts and panties stripped down my legs, Spencer’s pants off just as quick, his arousal just as ready as mine.

One of my favorite parts of Spencer, besides his wit, charm, and smoking hot body, was his strength. In one go, Spencer could lift me from the floor without trying. My legs wrapped around him.

“I want you to come in every single room in this house. I want to hear the echo of you calling out my name. I want you to be mine, Megan.”

  “I’m already yours.”

With that, Spencer filled me, my moans already
filling the large kitchen as he pounded into me, my back pressed hard to the wooden beam. My nails digging into his shoulders. His name already on my lips, I was tumbling hard and fast. It all went quickly, but knowing Spencer, he’d keep his word, making me fall apart in every room.

Carrying me into the kitchen, he sat me on the counter. I was completely out of breath, huffing and puffing. Fuck, it was not the time for an asthma attack or anything near it. I needed more of my man. More of the only person to ever give me their adoring love without asking for anything in return.

I caught my breath, my eyes opening to see Spencer smiling at me. That smile, it was the same one that made the butterflies in my stomach go crazy as a teenage girl, even at 23 years old, it was exactly the same.

“You look so sexy like this. Naked, on the counter, the light of the moon giving your tits that perfect glow. You’re an angel, my angel.” He sounded as if I’d saved him from some dismal future, when in reality, he saved me.

He’d taken a girl who was trapped in the confines of her parent’s rules, a girl who spent points of every single day in moments of anxiety, and he freed her. Spencer had given me a freedom I never knew existed while loving me in a way I’d never been loved.

Spencer’s lips on my neck traveled down my collarbone to my eager nipples. His strong hands spread my legs as he kissed down my stomach. I leaned back on the island I occupied in the middle of the kitchen.

I shuttered at his tongue slipping into my slit, tasting me. He lapped at my core, the sounds echoing through the kitchen along with my heated moans, his name slipping from my lips.

My fingers gripped at his hair, bringing him in closer as I arched my hips. I couldn’t believe I’d waited so long to feel the bliss of love making, but I was glad I’d waited for Spencer, the only man I knew wasn’t taking advantage.

“Oh Spencer, I’m coming!” I shouted the moment he entered a couple fingers into me, fucking me hard with them as his tongue continued its assault on my clit.

“Let me taste you come, Baby,” Spencer mumbled on my flesh, the vibrations sending me further into a euphoric state.

I was spent after that, but it wasn’t the end. Spencer was true to his word. From the kitchen, we moved back to the living room, on the couch. From the living room, he took me to the top floor and one of the spare bedrooms before we finally ended in the master bathroom’s shower, my screams louder than ever as Spencer and I erupted together.

Curled into Spencer’s arms, I planted a kiss on his chest. We’d ended up in the king size bed in the master bedroom. This was our home. We were going to share this place together. I could someday be his wife and we could possibly be parents while under that very roof.

“You did good,” I commented, my voice soft.

“That’s a relief, I wondered if you would hate it,” Spencer commented. I shook my head. I could never hate something so perfect. “Want to know something? A secret.”

  “MmmHmm.”

“When I first got here with Kyle, I saw you and me here right away. It was an illusion, but real to me. I could visualize you sitting on the swing on the patio, rubbing your pregnant belly. I saw us here, having a real future. A future I’d never imagined with anyone else, but...you, Megan.” His voice cracked at the end.

“Woah, serious man. You called me Megan,” I commented lightly before pressing my lips to his.

“I am serious. You aren’t like the girls I’d been with in Europe. You aren’t a quick fuck or someone to pass the time with, I’m so in love with you that I can never imagine myself with anyone else, ever.”

“And I can’t see myself with anyone else,” I confessed. “Honestly, I never saw myself with anyone but you. I was thirteen years old and planning our wedding. It sounds stupid, but I think it was meant to be.”

“Definitely meant to be,” Spencer confirmed. “Tell me about this wedding you planned at 13.” He twirled a strand of my hair between his fingers.

  “You don't want to know.”

“Yes, I do. Tell me,” he insisted.

“And because I can never say no to you.” I shook my head at my inability to deny Spencer. “It was simple. Only close family. I've always wanted to marry down in Savannah, it was there. My dress was to be a easy lace dress, cream, not white, and my bouquet made of pink roses. My favorite part was you, dark slacks, a button up shirt, no tie, and converse.”

I snuggled my head into his chest in embarrassment. I never expected to tell him that in a million years, The daydreams of a 13 year old girl. “Oh God, I can’t believe I told you that. I’d written it all in a notebook that I lost forever ago.”

Spencer pulled me away and gave me a grin. “Sounds like perfection and every girl deserves her dream day,” he said before gently pressing his lips to mine. He pulled me in close, holding me tight. We were going to spend every night for the rest of our lives like that.

  I just knew it.

  Chapter Eighteen

  Spencer

“Nope. It’s not the right one,” I sighed, yet again, placing the half carat ring back into the sales woman’s hands.

“Seriously?” Kyle asked, long since bored of my ring shopping.

“Yes, Kyle, seriously. It has to be perfect. It has to scream Megan, or else I don’t want it,” I retorted, my hands combing through my hair at my own frustration.

I looked back at the sales clerk, Barbara, ready to see the next batch of rings she would pull out, but found her smiling at me, looking like I had grown six heads.

“I’m sorry, Mr. Grant. I don’t mean to stare, but that’s a beautiful sentiment. I can’t tell you how many times young men, such as yourself, come in here, flashing their big wallets, looking for the biggest, most expensive ring they can find. She’s a lucky girl.”

“You’ve got that all backwards, Barbara,” I smiled at her. “I’m the lucky one.”

“I’m going to be brutally honest with you then, Mr. Grant. Since I am actually the owner of this establishment, I’m going to fill you in on a little secret. I don’t think we have what you’re looking for.”

Now, I was looking at her like she had grown six heads.

“Trust me,” she laughed. “I would love the pick up the commission on this one, but this girl, this Megan, seems like something special, and although everything we have in the shop is beautiful in its own right, you would have found it if it was here to find. Might I suggest something a little more personable? Something that would mean a bit more to her than just another giant diamond?”

She was right. Sure, Megan would love whatever I gave to her, be it a 3-carat princess cut, or a twine of string, but it needed to be something precious to her; something you couldn’t get at every Tom, Dick, and Harry Jewelry store.

“Barbara, you are a saint, and if I wasn’t going to propose to my beautiful girlfriend, I’d take you out for coffee,” I smirked, grabbing her palm and placing a southern gentlemen like kiss on the back of her hand.

“How about when you mess up for the first time, you come here for your make-up gift?” She laughed, eyebrows raising at my gesture.

Turning her hand into mine, I gripped it. “I think you’ve got yourself a deal, Barbara.”

“Thank God!” Kyle proclaimed as we stepped out into the hot Atlanta heat. It was a brutally warm day today and neither of us really wanted to spend more time than we had to out and about.

“Yeah, yeah. Sorry,” I laughed, not really sorry at all. “What time is the party tonight?”

“Seriously, Spencer? It’s your housewarming party. How do you not remember?”

  I shrugged.

I didn’t plan it, so I couldn’t keep track. In fact, over the past two weeks, after buying the house, my entire focus had been on fulfilling my promise to Megan, twice over. We had literally christened every flat space in the townhome, and two nights ago, we had even gotten down and dirty on the stairwell.

I couldn’t help myself when she was around, and since she decided to wear a short skirt to
her dancing that night, when she climbed the stairs to head to the shower, I caught a glimpse of her perfect chocolate globes, and my dick had taken flight.

I chuckled to myself, remembering her squeak as I ran up behind her, my fingers going right up under her skirt.

“What’s so funny?” Kyle asked, his brow quirking.

“You don’t want to know,” I laughed, thinking about what he would say about our sexcapades on the stairwell.

“No. You’re right. I don’t want to know. Now can we get going? We only have four hours left until your housewarming party, and if I don’t get there soon with the drinks, Joe is liable to kick my ass.”

“I bet she could too,” I laughed under my breath at my best friend. If I didn’t know any better, it looked like I could be helping Kyle out at the same store we had just left.

  * * *

“Joe, this is fucking incredible!” I heard Megan squeal as she came pushing in the front door, her pink pencil skirt hanging just above her knees, making my dick twitch in anticipation.

“I know, girl. I’m awesome!” she replied, throwing her arms around Megan’s neck as soon as the door closed.

“Hey. I helped!” Kyle exclaimed from next to me, injecting some mock humor into his voice.

“Yes you did, baby,” Joe smiled, sauntering her way over to Kyle.

Watching them made me genuinely thrilled. Kyle had always been more of an outcast as our friendship grew, so to find him truly happy with someone was a great sight to see.

Taking my eyes off my friend, I sought out the one I was really waiting for. Her brown pools shone out to me, filled with love, and lust, and eagerness. Normally, I might have met her halfway, but tonight, she was going to come to me, and I was going to watch.

“Honey, I’m home,” she called when she was a few feet from me. “It seems like we have some guests?” She asked, fake surprise lacing her words.
