This Crazy Forbidden Thing: A Bad Boy Secret Baby Romance Novel (The Knight Brothers Book 2) Page 12

by London Casey

When we were finished, Bethany let me get off the table, go into a bathroom, and clean myself up. Nothing like having jelly stuff between my legs, a strange feeling in my stomach, and then looking at myself in the mirror, white faced and ready to pass out.

I forced myself to get dressed and Bethany waited for me to give me the ultrasound picture. She put a little <3 symbol next to the peanut - the baby, my baby - and smiled as she opened the door.

I was then walking and just going through the emotions of it all. I had to make an appointment for blood work and then made an appointment for another examination. Things were going to get crazy and it wasn’t just because of the doctor’s appointments.

I managed to keep myself in one piece until I got to my car.

The second I shut the door, I was comfortable enough to cry. I put the ultrasound picture next to me and gripped the steering wheel.

  I cried.

Yeah, I was terrified of being pregnant. Yeah, I was terrified of being a mother. I told myself that everyone must have felt that way when they found out they were pregnant. My life would no longer be about me. I would instantly become second to another life that was more precious and more beautiful. That part I was able to handle.

  It was the truth though...

Not the lie anymore, but the truth.

I told Walker I was pregnant and now I was. I would have to explain why the dates didn’t match up. That I could bullshit my way through. I was the woman and it was my body.

All of that was actually the easy part.

  The hard part?

I could pinpoint the last time I had sex with Walker. Actual sex. Him inside me, attempting to do this thing. I could measure in months and it was a very, very long time ago.

So long ago that there was no chance in hell that Walker was the father of the baby inside me.

That left one thought in my mind.

  I was pregnant... by Slade.

  (SLADE)

Ace had the prospect’s arm around his shoulder. The guy’s fucking face looked like it was missing. I sat on a picnic table, finishing off a warm beer and a cigarette to match. I jumped down and tossed the smoke to the ground.

Me and Matteo got to Ace and we saw blood everywhere.

“Are you hurt, brother?” I asked Ace.

“No. The dumb kid got lit up.”

“He hit me with a wrench,” the prospect said and started to cry.

I looked closer at his face and I could see bone. His jaw or skull or something was showing.

  “Oh, fuck,” I said.

Matteo turned his head and whistled. “Rab! Raven! Get some towels. Call for a ride.”

“What the hell happened?” I asked.

“He went to collect on a bet,” Ace said. “I sent him, trailing behind, wanting to see if he could handle himself. Next thing I knew, all hell broke loose. He comes hobbling out of the garage, like this, and there’s a guy with a wrench in one hand and a gun in the other. I got this son of a bitch out of there and here I am now.”

  “A garage,” I said. “A guy with a wrench.”

  “Yeah,” Ace said. “Rocky.”

  “My old boss,” I whispered.

The guy that tried to take all my money. The guy who used his daughter to get what he wanted.

The anger boiled up inside me instantly.

  “We’re riding,” I said.

I turned and went for my motorcycle. Behind me, Ace and Callum called my name. I didn’t want to hear a thing from anyone. Goddammit. If Rocky didn’t have Ava wiggling her little pussy in my face, I could have stayed at the garage and avoided all the bullshit back in my old hometown. I would have never seen Liv. I would have never fucked her, hurt her, and left her again.

I was ready to draw blood.

When I got on my ride, a second later, Lael was there, slashing his thumb to his throat.

  Kill the fucking engine, Slade.

  I turned the motorcycle off.

Lael looked at me. “This is personal.”

“Yes. This guy fucked me good.”

  “He’s fucked the club, Slade.”

  “Then what’s the plan, Prez?”

Raven walked to the front of my ride. He had a black bag with him and tore it off his shoulders. He ripped it open and nodded to me. “This is the plan, Slade.”

The bag was full of wires and explosives.

“Christ,” I said. “You’re going to blow him up?”

“Clear message,” Lael said. “Nobody fucks with this MC and gets away with it. You owe us money and you don’t pay... you get punished.”

“What about his daughter?” I asked. “Or anyone else there?”

“We’ll secure the garage,” Raven said.

“As far as the daughter goes,” Lael said with a grin, “you make that call, Slade. If her pussy is sweet enough to keep around, bring her here so we all get a taste. If not, strap her to Daddy’s lap and let them go boom together.”

Lael lowered his sunglasses enough to show me his eyes. They were the scariest eyes I ever saw in my life. They were the eyes of command and the eyes of murder.

“You got it, Prez,” I said.

A minute later we were riding.

Raven had the lead, I was following behind him. Ace and Major were behind me. They were going to be the muscle.

As I throttled my ride and hit the street, my nerves started to bounce. Being in the MC had its ups and downs. I wasn’t sure if murder was an up or a down. It was real though. Way too fucking real. One slip up and you were behind bars. The Savage Viper’s club went far beyond this charter. There were even charters inside prisons. That’s how many guys were serving time. Three of the original members were in for life.

And there I was, my engine growling like a hungry lion.

I was destined for this... to kill to feel alive.

Ace and Major went through the front door to clear anyone out. And to grab all the cash they could. I took the lead around Callum and pulled up to the garage bays. Standing outside in a dress, smoking a cig was Ava. She looked as seductive as ever, someone that certainly knew how to use her body to get what she wanted in life.

The second she saw me, she dropped the cigarette and started to move. I rode right up to her and grabbed the back of her dress. I stopped my ride and pulled her to my body.

“I’ve got a gun,” I said. “And I’ve got a crew. You want to try running?”

“Jesus Christ, Slade,” Ava said. “What are you doing here, baby?”

  “Where’s your old man?”

  “Inside,” she said.

  “Is he alone?”

  “Yeah.”

  “Are you lying to me?”

  “No. I swear. He’s alone.”

Callum cruised around me and pulled up to the garage.

That’s when Rocky appeared, wiping his hands with a towel. There was a grin on his face until he saw me and realized who Callum was. He threw the towel to the ground and turned to run.

Ace was there, throwing a right fist, knocking Rocky to the ground.

“Shut the fucking door!” Callum ordered.

Ace shut the door and he and Rocky were out of sight. Callum climbed off his ride and took the bag into the garage.

I was then alone with Ava.

  “What’s happening?” she asked.

“You know what’s happening. You’ve been getting away with this for too long, Ava.”

“Please, no,” she said. She turned her head. Her eyes were full of tears. “Please.”

I got off my motorcycle and walked her to the wall where she had been standing. I put my hand to the concrete wall and put my other hand to her belly and held her against it.

“Give me a reason. Your old man fucked up one of our guys. And I bet you helped, didn’t you?”

  “Yes,” Ava said. “I helped.”

  “How?”

“I caught him looking at my tits. So I asked if he wanted to see.” She swallowed hard. “So I pulled my dress down
and showed him. He told me to touch them, so I did. He held them tight and pressed them together. I cupped under them and let my fingers play with my nipples so they got hard. Then I asked if he wanted to kiss them. I had him completely distracted.”

Inside the garage Rocky let out a scream.

Ava jumped and turned her head. I grabbed her jaw and forced her to look at me. “Finish the story.”

“He was distracted and Rocky hit him in the head with a wrench. Then he kicked and stomped him. The guy got up and ran away.”

“And your old man really thought fucking with the Savage Viper’s was a good idea?”

  “The guy wasn’t like you.”

“That’s because he was a prospect. Earning his cut. And you two fucked with the wrong club. Your old man is going to die today. And I was given the choice on how to kill you.”

“No,” Ava said. “Slade, no.” She touched my face. “I swear... with you, it was different. I let you inside me. That’s only supposed to be for him.”

  “What?” I asked.

Ava blinked away a few tears. “Rocky is not my father.”

  “Say that again?”

“I’m his whore,” Ava whispered. “He was married to my mother. Never took care of me until she died. I was eighteen and he started... whatever. He had a way for me to make money. And as long as I gave it up to him when he wanted, he kept me protected. He would hurt or kill anyone that threatened me.”

  “Christ,” I said.

Rocky let out another bellowing yell.

  “Brother,” Ace yelled. “We’re ready.”

  I looked at Ava. “Fuck.”

  “Please,” she said.

With her other hand she touched between my legs. Her hand grabbing, massaging, rubbing my cock, bringing it to life.

I pulled my lower half away. “Sorry, Ava, but your hand, mouth, pussy... even your ass can’t help you.”

  “Don’t kill me,” she said.

“I’m not going to fucking kill you,” I said. I reached into my pocket and took out a couple hundred dollars. I grabbed her hand and put the money in it. I curled her fingers around the money. “I hope you’re not lying to me about him. If he’s been... this is your chance to be free. Get a set of keys and take a car. Ditch it when you can, keep on the run. Go east and don’t look back. Stay they fuck out of trouble. And if you try anything funny, we will be there to kill you.” I leaned in so my nose was touching hers. “The President of the MC wanted me to bring you back so we all could have a taste of you. I’m giving you a chance to escape. Don’t talk about your past. Don’t talk about me. Don’t talk about the MC. Understand?”

Ava grabbed my face with both hands. I felt the money against my cheek. She pressed forward and kissed me. Our lips touched. Our tongues twisted together. I pressed her hard against the wall even more. My hand quickly moved down between her legs, cupping around her pussy. My fingers pulled at her dress, lifting it right up. I touched bare skin and found that she wasn’t wearing any panties. The side of my pointer finger rubbed against her slit, feeling the moisture.

I growled and pulled away, turning around.

“No,” I said. “Get the fuck out of here, Ava.”

I looked back at her, once, and saw the look on her face. She was hurt and in shock.

I walked to the other garage bay and went inside and shut the door.

I then punched the door, growling again.

  “Everything okay?” Major asked.

  “Fine,” I said.

“What are we doing with the bitch?” Raven asked.

“She’s on the run,” I said. “Rocky’s not her father. He’s her stepfather and has been abusing her for years.”

“Think she’ll keep her mouth shut?” Ace asked.

“I guess we’ll find out,” I said. I then set my sights to Rocky. I slowly walked to him. He was in a chair, a towel in his mouth. I grabbed the towel and he started to scream. “Shut up, asshole.”

  “Help!” he yelled. “Help me!”

“Bro, he’s going to attract attention,” Ace said.

I walked to the wall where a stereo hung. I turned up the volume knob until the music was louder than Rocky’s screams. It was a hard rocking song too. Lots of loud guitar, pounding drums, a thumping bass line. There were speakers in every corner of the garage. Hell, it was a really nice sound system.

At the back table, I lifted the large wrench.

  I turned and smiled.

Rocky looked back at me and started to scream louder.

Ace, Major, and Raven all backed away and gave me some space. I walked around the chair and stood there, facing Rocky. I leaned down and I grabbed the back of his hair. I had to put my hand to his ear and screamed so he could hear me.

  “Don’t ever fuck with me.”

The message was for Rocky. But it was for everything else. For Liv. For my old man. For my brothers. For Liv’s brother. For that asshole she was with.

  Everything.

I stood up and swung the wrench, smashing it against Rocky’s jaw. His head snapped to the right but his jaw kept going. It was sick enough that even my iron stomach did a little flip.

I dropped the wrench and turned to Raven.

  I gave two thumbs up.

  Major turned down the music.

  Rocky could no longer scream.

“Let’s light this fucker up,” Major said with a gleam in his eyes of his old war days. “Just like we used to do in the desert.”

He let out a cackling laugh.

I stepped back and leaned against the garage door. I took out a smoke and enjoyed it, watching as Raven masterfully wired up the garage. I never asked him how he learned to do what he did, but he could blow up a building without damaging anything around it.

When Raven finished, we all left the garage.

We got on our rides and cruised away.

Raven then lifted his right hand, holding a small box. He pressed a button and it was bye-bye Rocky and his garage.

Behind me was a fiery disaster. In front of me was the horizon and freedom.

The story of my fucking life.

Yet... I never felt so imprisoned in my life.

  (OLIVIA)

I couldn’t stop shaking as I fought with my hair. I kept looking at the ultrasound picture on the toilet next to me. I had a vision of me walking into my mother’s house and tossing it on the table. Just to see her smile. Just to feel that connection again.

The second I walked in, I couldn’t do it.

It didn’t help matters that Owen was there, having a cup of coffee with her.

I hadn’t talked to my brother all that much since the Slade incident.

I fixed my hair and tucked the ultrasound picture into my back pocket. I left the bathroom and went to the kitchen. Mom stood at the sink, pouring a half full pot of coffee down the drain.

“Mom, what are you doing?” I asked.

“Pouring a refill or two,” she said.

I watched the coffee go down the drain.

“Hey, Mom,” Owen called out. “You’re dumping it down the drain. What the hell are you thinking?”

Mom realized what she was doing and quickly stopped. She put the coffee pot down. She stared at the mugs and the coffeepot.

“Let me help,” I said. “I need the practice for my shift.”

  Mom laughed.

She walked away and I poured two fresh coffees. I walked them to the table.

“Thanks,” Owen said. “I’ll leave you a big tip.”

I looked at him and shook my head.

I turned and left the dining room and went out to the deck.

It took all of ten seconds before Owen was out there, holding his mug of coffee, standing like the cocky asshole cop he was.

  “Still pissed at me, sis?”

“You must be training hard to become a detective,” I said.

“Nice,” he said. “Want to tell me what’s on your mind?”

“You need to leave me alone,”
I snapped. “My life. Everything. You don’t get it.”

  “Get what?”

“What you did to Slade. You think I don’t know?”

Owen’s lip curled. “Fucking pussy. What did he do, call you?”

“No. He saw me again. We spent the night together.”

  Owen’s eyes went wide. “When?”

“Months ago,” I said. “It doesn’t matter now. He took off. So you win again, Owen. But I’m the one who loses.”

  “You lose?”

“Yeah. I haven’t seen Walker in forever. Which is good. Because I don’t love him. I don’t want to be with him, Owen. I hate him. How’s that for truth?”

I couldn't believe this was happening to me. That I was boiling over and losing my mind right then in front of Owen. And he just stood there, stone like, taking it all in.

“Keep talking to me,” he whispered. “You obviously have a lot to say.”

He sipped his coffee purposely loud. Fucking. Asshole.

“You have no idea what it’s like,” I said. “You’ve forced Walker onto me for a long time. You don’t get... the personal feelings and stuff.”

Owen nodded. “All I’ve ever tried to do is protect you.”

“I didn’t ask for that,” I said. “You know that, Owen.”

“As you made dumb decision after another, with that asshole, I had to do something.”

  “Mom always liked him.”

“She’s losing her mind,” Owen said.

I sucked in a shaky breath. I slapped at Owen and knocked the coffee mug out of his hand. He screamed Fuck! and jumped back shaking his hand. Then he looked at me and I thought he was going to hit me.

I froze up. I had never gotten Owen pissed enough to hit me.

He came at me, but not to hit me. He reached behind me and plucked the ultrasound picture out of my back pocket.

“This,” he said. “This right here. You’re having a fucking kid with Walker. There’s nothing I can do about that, is there? I never asked you to marry him. I never forced you to sleep with him.”

“Trust me, Owen, you all but did,” I said. “Give me that back.”

Owen put his hand to my forehead. It was like we were kids and he was keeping a toy from me.

“I thought it would be bigger by now,” he said.
