Seduction in a Suit: An Office Romance Collection Page 61

“I want to go home,” she whispered to me and I nodded.

Taking her by the shoulder, I shot Michael a look that told him everything I needed to say. It told him Kaitlyn wasn’t to be toyed with and it said that she deserved better. As I turned back I heard footsteps behind us. It was Michael, eager to try and repair something that was shattered.

  “Kait,” he started.

  “Leave me alone,” Kaitlyn cried.

“You fucking heard her,” I growled.

“This is none of your business,” Michael hissed at me, which was the wrong move.

It all happened too fast to comprehend, but the moment my fist collided with Michael’s smug-ass face, it felt so damn good. Gasps erupted from the crowd, but I didn’t give a fuck. My job was to protect to Kaitlyn and I sure as hell wasn’t going to let him hurt her again.

I turned back to Kaitlyn who unlike the guests who all appeared shocked, had a pleased smirk on her face.

“Let’s get you home,” I said as I took her by the hand and led her through the hotel to where the cars waited. Instead of taking the limo, we entered the SUV which had followed.

“Hi,” Colin said from the driver’s seat, his mouth stuffed with cheeseburger. “What’s going on?”

“Kaitlyn is going home,” I announced as I watched Kaitlyn. She was definitely hurt. The man she’d given everything to had betrayed her. I’d punch him again simply for that.

“Okie dokie,” Colin sang, putting his cheeseburger down, and stepped on the gas.

Kaitlyn was quiet for most of the ride as she stared out the window. Before we entered her neighborhood, Kaitlyn shifted, turning to me.

“Thanks, for what you did back there,” she offered sweetly.

“I was only doing my job.”

“You didn’t have to punch him in the face. That was nice of you,” she countered.

“Wait, who did you punch in the face?” Colin asked, his eyes piercing me in the rearview mirror.

  “Michael Ford,” I said nonchalantly.

“The fiancé?” Colin asked, clearly flabbergasted.

“Ex-fiancé,” Kaitlyn spoke up. She was making it clear that she and Michael were as over as they were going to get. “It was a good hit too, square in the nose.”

“Evan is a combat master. He always scores the highest during trainings,” Colin pointed out.

“So much pent up aggression, huh?” Kaitlyn asked with a raised eyebrow.

Something struck me as I looked over the beautiful woman sitting next to me. Kaitlyn was single. I knew that thought was greatly immature, and she’d only been single for twenty minutes or so, but the one girl I’d wanted so bad was finally free, and the damned rules still prevented me from having her!

“Home sweet home,” Colin broke me from my thoughts.

I’d do my job as intended. I would escort Kaitlyn inside and make sure she was as secure as possible.

“Let’s get you inside,” I said to Kaitlyn. I worked particularly hard to remain as professional as possible. I didn’t need anyone reading into my words, and I especially didn’t need my emotions lacing my words. It was too dangerous. But every moment with her, the danger became that much more enticing.

I hopped from the backseat of the car to assist Kaitlyn. My hand took hers as she slid off the leather seat and her heels clicked against the pavement. I’d admired how her dress hugged her curves all night that I had had to give my manhood a stern talking to, to keep him down.

“I’ll check in Col,” I said to Colin, who gave me a nod. He went right back to his discarded cheeseburger, devouring it with the same gusto I wanted to devour Kaitlyn with.

I opened the front door of Kaitlyn’s house, as per normal, and allowed her to step inside. The air was different now. Kaitlyn had changed and so had I in a short amount of time. I closed the door before I turned back to Kaitlyn, who stood staring at me. I saw the fire that burned deep in her irises.

“Fuck the rules,” I grunted as I took one long stride and pulled her into my arms. My lips took hers hard and a moan escaped her as she kissed me back.

We were messy as we tangled with one another. My fingers managed to unzip her dress and slide it down her body until she stood nearly bare, only her underwear left.

Kaitlyn took just as much charge of the situation with me, as I’d done with her. She stripped me of my jacket and her fingers trailed along the buttons of my shirt, undoing them quickly as she moved south, until she reached my pants.

I didn’t realize Kaitlyn was so talented until she’d expertly unhooked my belt, button, and zipper in mere seconds. Her tenacity, and the lust in her eyes told me she’d been waiting a very long time for this. So had I.

Not wasting anymore of our precious time, I grabbed her and sprinted up the stairs. Luckily, by now I knew Kaitlyn’s house like the back of my hand. I rushed into her bedroom and laid her across her bed.

Her chocolate eyes were glossed over in want as she watched me finish undressing. There was no turning back now, and I bent over her, hooking my fingers into the elastic of her panties. Kaitlyn lifted her bottom from the bed to help me as I yanked them off. I tossed them away, she no longer needed them.

My desire to be inside her grew as my eyes saw her glistening pussy for the first time. She was aching for me and damn I needed it, but I wanted to give her something Michael likely never had. I wanted her pleasure to come first.

My fingers wrapped around her ankle and brought her foot to me. My lips pressed delicate kisses on each of her toes while she lightly giggled.

“Evan,” she breathed as I left a final kiss on her pinky toe.

“Shh, I want to love every bit of you tonight,” I told her as I dropped her foot and climbed over her on the bed. “Every bit of you means from the bottom of your feet to the top of your head, and every bit in between.” I pressed my lips to her collarbone.

Kaitlyn moaned and I was transported back to that first night I was on duty with her. She’d demanded she go to Michael’s house and not her own. She and Michael went upstairs and I had been forced to stand downstairs, tortured by the sounds of her moans, but this time was very different. This time I was the one giving her that satisfaction.

Her bra had to go next. Kaitlyn had to be completely naked for me to give her all I wanted to give. I reached behind her as she arched and unhooked the lacy fabric that held her together. She raised her arms as I took it off and tossed it aside as I’d done her matching panties.

She was gorgeous, a masterpiece to behold. She smiled shyly at my inspection. I couldn’t move. I’d never felt a fire burn inside me the way it did with her. Though my job was to take bullets and face death, being with her scared me more than the thought of taking a bullet for her.

“Cat got your tongue,” chided Kaitlyn who grinned up at me.

“Never baby,” I pressed my lips to hers and allowed my mouth to explore hers. Our tongues swirled together before I kissed from her neck down to one of her perfect tits. She might have not been perfect to everyone else, but she was perfect to me.

My teeth took a nip at her swollen nipple and she hissed sweetly. I loved the sounds she made as I touched her with my hands and with my mouth. I wanted to explore her deeper, and I did as I kissed lower. My tongue swirled around her belly button and she inhaled, obviously ticklish. I did it again for good measure.

  “That tickles,” she whispered.

Kiss after kiss, I lowered myself until I was between her legs and planting kisses on her jittering thighs. Her scent was intoxicating as it took hold of me.

Torturing her was fun, but torturing myself was hard, and I couldn’t wait much longer. I had to taste her. My lips landed next on her pussy as I spread her lips open with my fingers. She was soaked and her clit was pulsing.

Starved, I ate. Licking and sucking at her sweetness drove me toward my own edge. I wouldn’t be the loser who came in his pants on the first night. I stood once more and tore my underwear away, anxiously awaiting to be deep in
side her, hearing my name on her plump lips.

“Condoms?” I realized as much as I wanted, I wasn’t anywhere near prepared to be with her.

  “Bedside table drawer,” she answered.

I stepped to the antique appearing table and pulled open the drawer. Right away, I was greeted with one of her personal toys, a bright pink rabbit vibrator. I made a mental note to use it later. I spotted the strips of condoms next to her vibrator and grabbed one, tearing it from its strip before I tore its package open.

Her eyes were on me as I rolled the condom onto my hard dick that pulsed in anticipation of having her.

I leaned over her and my hands spread her legs. Kaitlyn’s breath was already hitched and I hadn’t even made my grand entrance. My hand gripped her hip as I pierced her. She inhaled deeply, but I felt her body relax as I pressed deeper. Her hips rocked against mine and before long we’d found our rhythm. Her moans were sweet music to my ears as I upped my speed and power. I wanted to show her from that moment, she belonged to me.

“Evan!” she cried into the air. Hearing her mouth utter my name only made me pound into her harder and with all my strength. “Fuck,” she hissed as I felt her muscles closing in tighter.

Our first time had gone fast, but it wouldn’t be the end of our night. I’d craved Kaitlyn for too long for our fuck to be that simple. I had plans with and for her. By morning I would have her spent, yet begging for more. But for the moment, I shot my cum into the condom while Kaitlyn screamed out. Such beautiful, beautiful music to my ears.

Waking up, there were so many things to process. I’d broken my engagement to Michael, the cheating bastard. So many damn signs and I’d ignored them all. I prided myself in being intelligent, but Michael’d slipped through the cracks. He had made me believe his lies. Finally, I got to see the truth for myself and I knew I’d never allow myself to be duped again.

My broken heart didn’t last too long because there was Evan, my knight in shining armor. He hadn’t just socked Michael in the face, which was such a great sight to see, but he’d given into the desires we both had. Our night was much more than expected. We’d had sex, and not just sex, amazing sex. Sex turned into cuddling and his kisses all over my body, not an inch was left unattended. Then, he took me again and again.

I awoke with my body sore from the best love making I had had in recent memory. Evan slept next to me, his light snores made me smile. Months of us skirting around our attraction practically exploded the moment I was available.

Leaving him in my bed, I found my robe and trotted downstairs. A grin spread across my face at the sight of my dress on the floor. Evan had stripped me out of it and we’d left the designer garment stranded.

I picked up my dress and tossed it over the arm of a chair before I continued into the bright kitchen. I’d left my phone at home during the party and honestly, I had no desire to see the hundreds of messages waiting for me.

Starting the coffee pot, I turned to the counter where my TV sat and turned it on. My name was the first thing I heard and I sighed.

“Witnesses recounted that Kaitlyn Marshall rushed into the arms of her Secret Service guard and Michael Ford followed. There was an encounter between the two where she explains she caught him cheating on her. As she tried to leave with her Secret Service agent, Mr. Ford approached her and the agent deemed him as a threat, punching him in the face, before taking Ms. Marshall away,” the reporter said from in front of the hotel, which was now the location of a media circus.

I shook my head. That same story would be told over and over for the next twenty-four hours or until something else happened that would steal the media attention away.

“This morning, an embarrassed Congressman Ford was spotted leaving his Maryland residence. Though he tried to cover his face, it was visibly swollen from the encounter with the Secret Service agent.”

I watched as a shot of Michael leaving his house and getting into his car was played. He tried to cover his face with a stack of papers, but was doing a terrible job at it. It was likely that Evan had broken his nose. I laughed at Michael’s misfortune, he deserved it.

“This morning, President Marshall released a statement, through a White House spokesperson, which retracted her earlier endorsement for Congressman Ford running for reelection in the state of California.”

“Thanks, Mom.” I said aloud. Michael didn’t stand a chance now that my mother had pulled her support. He was a cheating loser and the world knew it as well as I.

“Good morning,” a voice startled me. It was Evan, he was fully dressed.

The man looked good in everything. Last night, he looked scrumptious naked, but in a suit, Evan was something else. Fuck, he was hot and I was lucky.

“Hey there,” I said happily as I turned off the TV. We didn’t need to hear the story over and over again, we’d lived through it.

Stepping to Evan, I wrapped my arms around his neck and stood on my toes, giving him a soft kiss, but something was wrong. Evan didn’t kiss me back. Instead, he moved away and out of my touch.

“My shift has ended,” he noted and I nodded. That was fine, more time he could spend with me without work on his mind. “I will see you next shift, Ms. Marshall.”

Ms. Marshall? Since when did Evan and I become so formal. I was confused. He’d made love to me last night. We’d shared such tender moments together, and I thought he wanted more… I knew I wanted more.

  “Evan, what’s wrong?” I asked.

“Nothing. I’ll be going now.” He turned away, but I grabbed his hand. I didn’t understand why he was being so cold toward me. I swallowed, afraid of having my heart broken twice in only a day.

“Please, don’t go. I was going to make breakfast and I thought maybe we can–”

“Just stop. We can’t do anything together,” he insisted.

  “But last night?”

“Last night was a mistake on my part. I shouldn’t have taken advantage of you. I will resign my post if you are uncomfortable. I will understand.” Evan wasn’t making sense to me. I thought he wanted me the way I wanted him. Last night he had wanted me, and badly.

“Evan, I don’t want you to go.” I was just short of begging him to not leave me and tears burned at the edges of my eyes. My heart that he’d glued back together was already falling apart at its barely repaired seams.

“I should.” His face was stone cold. Not a single emotion spoke to me. I swallowed hard. “Have a nice day, Ms. Marshall.” He left me standing alone in the kitchen.

A tear finally broke free when I heard my front door open and close. It was like being hit with a truck. I’d let go of all the lust that had built in my system, and he took all of it, only to leave me alone.

I took my cell phone from my counter and dialed the number of the only person I could talk to.

“Wait, wait, wait. Back up. You slept with him?” Jessie sat at my kitchen table with a cup of coffee. She’d been the only person I could trust, not just the feelings I had for Evan, but with what happened between us. “Wow, from one and onto the next. I can respect that. Honestly, I’ve been telling you for a long time I was not seeing your relationship with Michael going the distance.”

“I know,” Jessie never shielded anyone from the truth and I was no exception. She’d told me from the start Michael seemed shady. She knew shady when she saw it, and I wished I would have listened, but I turned a deaf ear. There was no use going back, it was a done deed.

“Evan punching him in the face was amazing. The GIF is making its rounds on social media and I die every time. It is amazing. Michael hired my boss you know?” Jessie informed me of Michael’s attempt to save his political career by hiring DC’s number one fixer.

“Figures,” I commented as I pressed my face into my hands. “I’m at a loss on everything that happened last night, from Michael to Evan. I don’t know how to process it all.”

“You and Evan had hot sex and this morning he just wa
lked out on you?” Jessie asked. I nodded as I worked to not cry again. Every time I thought of the emotionless look on Evan’s face, I felt like my world was crumbling around me.

“I’ve been around enough. I’ve seen the way Evan looks at you. He fell for you a long time ago,” Jessie reasoned.

“Then why did he just leave me?” I cried, feeling my emotions running over. I was the complete opposite of Evan.

“He’s scared. Guys like Evan will never admit to fear. The emotion of fear has been meticulously trained out of him, and when he feels it, he doesn’t know how to react. He wants to be with you, believe me, but he’s afraid of how it will affect him and his career. Give him some time. He just might come around.” She was likely right. Evan and I had acted out of our emotions and want. Maybe it would be different when we had had time to process it all. I didn’t want him to lose his job, but I also wanted to give him my heart.

  Evan

Punch after punch, I laid into the bag. I tried to fight away the rage that filled me. I was angry with myself for what I’d done. I gave in. The worst part was when I broke her. The look in her eyes was burned into my memory.

I wussed out. I’d shrank to a level less than a man. Hurting her was never something I could imagine doing, until I did it. Did I care about my job more than I cared about her? I would have to hang up my suit to be with her. It dawned on me as I had laid in her bed, I couldn’t let go of the one thing that kept me grounded.

“Beating away your feelings, huh?” my sister’s voice broke through. I turned to see her at the doorway to my basement exercise room. She stood with her arms over her chest.

My sister looked dramatically different from how she had looked when she first moved in with me over nine months prior. She’d gotten herself into a drug rehab program and thrived. I allowed her and her children to stay with me while she navigated sober life. Her skin had returned to being peachy and vibrant, her attitude was positive, and she was the mother she always wanted to be.
