"We checked out a couple of books on it," Methos told them all as they were both stared at as though they had never seen them before.
"Don't you people read normal things?" Alex asked smirking.
"They are normal books about magic," Lucy answered.
"Funny," Alex said still smirking at her while she just glared back at him before she turned her attention back to Will to carry on with his training.
They carried on practicing for the rest of the night, until the signal came through telling them that the block would be closing and they had to make their way back to their dorms, not that any of them were complaining when it finally went off considering that they had already spent hours at it.
They had finally been given their timetables for their exams a week before they were supposed to start, and they were to last two whole weeks; which meant according to their timetable, that they had Science & Potion's first. It was supposed to last three and half hours, which was why they were all lined up outside of Jevidah's classroom waiting in silence to be allowed inside.
Jevidah finally stepped out of his class carrying a data pad and walked further out in the corridor so that everyone could see him. "Good morning, I hope that you've all been studying hard, and that it might somehow help you in this exam. This exam is different to all of your others, and you'll all be basically making something different; mainly so that you can't cheat from the person next to you. On your desks you will find your ingredients along with the instructions on how to make it, there will be several blank spots on your lists, this is where you should have been paying attention in class. At this point you'll be expected to fill in the gap to complete your potion or whatever it is that I've asked you to make.
"You'll have two hours to complete the potion or mixture, demonstrate that it works. Then you have a break within this block, as refreshments will be brought over, you have fifteens before you then sit down for the last part of the exam. You must describe what you've just made and the ingredients that you used, any and all information you can think of about everything you did, even if you think that something else could have been used to make it better. Now that's done, I want you all to enter one at time, go to your tables and then wait for me to tell you when to start."
They all filed into the room still in silence even though they wanted to talk especially after hearing what they would have to do this morning, Lucy and Will walked over to their desk taking in everything that was set out on all of the different desks, there was so much on every surface. They took their own seats, recognising about half the stuff on their own desk and the rest of it, not completely sure just by sight alone.
"Even though I've allowed you to stay in your normal seats, that doesn't mean that you're allowed to speak to the person next to you," Jevidah told them as he took up his position behind his desk. "This shall all be done in silence...and to begin, now,"
A large clock appeared behind him, counting down from 120minutes, so everyone quickly got to it as they really were working against the clock.
Lucy couldn't believe how tired she was even though they hadn’t been having their normal lessons the past couple of days, just three exams so far, one a day. It was the free time that was doing it to her because she still had so much that she needed to do, and she just hoped that this was right as she logged onto her computer so she could send off what she had found out so far.

I'm sorry that it's taken so long to get back to you, but I was trying out quite a few different potions, brews and incense combinations, and the student agreed to try some of them, but I haven't tried them all yet. He seems quite a bit better, he's not drained of energy anymore, but his magic is still a bit of a problem. We’re hoping that with a bit of training to re-focus his skills that he'll be alright.

Lucy finally finished writing, she couldn't believe how long it had taken her to re-write, and she really did hope that at least some of it will help, but at moment there wasn't anything else she could do about that; so she might as well focus on the rest of her exams and leave the rest up to Doctor Wray and his team.
Chapter Twenty-Nine
There was hardly any light reaching them on the edge of the forest by their dorms where they had agreed to meet with Travis and his friends, Will had actually only told Troy, Alex and Lucy about the meeting, mainly because he didn't want everyone turning up drawing too much attention to themselves and he didn't really think that the others really wanted to do this, so he wasn't going to put them in that position. They walked over checking over their shoulders every once in a while making sure that they weren't followed, but it annoyed him that Lucy didn't seem as bothered by that idea as anyone else seemed to be.
"Glad you could make it," Travis said as they joined them.
"I had stuff to do," Lucy told them.
"She always has stuff to do, and we don't know why," Troy told him.
"We wanted to know if you've come up with a plan yet about the Knight?" Liam asked.
"The summoning potion is kind of hard to make, considering that you have to kill creatures to get the ingredients," Lucy told him.
"Yeah, we're not really up for that," Will added.
"I still kind of managed to make one though," Lucy told them making them all look at her amazed that she actually managed it. "I haven't tried it or anything, so I don't know if it'll actually work of course...but it should do,"
"Okay...weird, but impressive," Travis said a little taken aback by this news.
"We've actually been working on a spell." Troy admitted embarrassedly.
"So have I, we'll go over them together and see how well they work," Reed told him.
"You do know that we still don't know how to defeat it right?" Will reminded them.
"We were thinking negative magic," Travis told them.
"We've almost finished," Liam said smiling. "If it feeds off of it, instead of getting stronger it should get weaker,"
"A banishing spell then should get it back into the book," Reed added. "If we can get it into the book, then the police can destroy it themselves,"
They all looked at each other as they took this all in, as it looked as though they actually had a plan.
"Are we really going to do this?" Alex asked.
"We have to," Will told them as he understood most out of them all that they had to stop this thing, especially after what had happened to him, even though he was scared to death to face this thing again and what it could do to him, he didn't want it to hurt anybody else.
"Okay then...Saturday morning, we'll meet in the circle corridor," Travis told them.
"Why there, it's kind of close to the teachers?" Alex asked.
"That's one reason why we want it there, in case anything goes wrong, but also for the space," Travis told him.
"We'll be there." Will assured him and Lucy nodded in agreement, Troy and Alex did also even though they looked just as scared as he felt.
Will could hardly believe it, after all of these months they were finally going to confront the thing, he just hoped that it really did go according to plan as he couldn't really afford to lose anymore of his powers.
The rest of the week had just flown by, and now they nervously walked over together to meet Travis and his friends again. Lucy was clutching a bag to her with the potion inside of it as she walked a little behind the other three, watching Alex scan the area every couple of seconds as though he expected the Knight to actually jump out at them.
"This is it," Will said. "Do you think the book will come with the Knight?"
"Hopefully," Troy said. "You do think that they buried it where we agreed right?"
"It wasn't there and their dad is a teacher here," Lucy said matter-of-factly.
"Why would they lie to us about it though?" Alex asked nervously.
"Maybe it was called away," Will suggested. "It's possible, remember those other attacks..."
"I guess," Lucy said, not wanting to think too much about those other attacks and what might happen to them if this all goes wrong.
They walked the rest of the way in a nervous silence down the corridor, and then coming out in the centre passage of the round chamber; there were corridors on either side of them and two more facing them. Travis and his friends were already there waiting for them checking out the other corridor's, probably making sure that no one else was coming their way, not wanting anyone interrupting them.
"Glad you could make it," Travis said.
"We said that we would, so we're here," Will said slightly annoyed as he remembered when they had first met and that Travis had thought that he was a girl, it wasn't really the time to bring it up, but it really did annoy him.
"So which side do you want this?" Lucy asked as she pulled the large bottle out of her bag, which fell limply to her side now that it was empty.
"On this side of the room," Reed told her. "We'll block these corridors so it has to come from one of those,"
Lucy nodded as she walked over to the other side of the chamber as she opened the bottle, and then started to pour it out in a design on the floor covering both the entrances and part of the middle area.
"Will can call it, considering that it's already attacked you." Liam told him. "And then when you hear it approaching step back out of reach and we'll do the same,"
"How're we supposed to put it in the book when we don't have a book?" Troy asked, hoping that they had a better answer than what they had come up with.
"It should come at the same time that the Knight is called," Travis told him as though this was obvious.
They paired off covering the corridors on their side, Liam and Alex stood before the first, then Travis and Lucy in the centre where Will would join them after he had called forth the Knight, which left Reed and Troy covering the last corridor; the corridor facing them free so that the Knight could enter.
Will stood in the centre, on the potion that Lucy had decorated the floor with holding the piece of paper with the summoning spell on it, he knew that they were all ready with their wands in hand, and were just waiting for him to say the words, but he was scared to death at the thought of this going horribly wrong and ending up with no powers at all, or of course worse, he could end up dead.
Will took several deep breaths, knowing that he had to do this. "Ce rus u, ce rus u. Shojus wuros, da vace wur croms. Ce rus u, ce rus u. Shojos wiros, da vace wur croms."
"Direct," Lucy whispered behind him.
They all just stood there waiting for something, but for several minutes nothing happened, Will was even going to say it again when the lights began to dim all around them, until they flickered out completely. Liam lit his wand lighting the space that they were stood in.
"Turn it off," Lucy told him quickly.
"What, why?" Liam asked confused.
"Power...we need it focused not confused wondering who to go after first," Lucy told him, and he seemed to get the idea as he turned it off and they all fell back into darkness.
