“That one?” The woman asked pointing to the right at the large white building that was a mix of classical structure and modern glass and steel. It didn’t quite fit into the surroundings especially with small beach huts made with coconut palms dotted around the front of it. Erica nodded.
“Yes.”
The woman’s smile seemed to get slightly bigger and she looked back to Erica taking hold of the ball as she did so.
“Well maybe I’ll see you later, I’m staying in the same hotel. Sorry again for waking you. Take care.” As she took hold of the ball her fingers brushed up against Erica’s thigh. It felt as if Erica had been electrocuted sparks seemed to fly around and her heart pounded. The world seemed to spin and by the time she had come back to her senses the woman had already run back to her friends.
Watching for a moment longer Erica then stood and walked off back to the hotel hoping that the woman was right and they would see each other again. Was it that obvious that she liked her? Erica wondered.
Confidence was something that Erica had never had. It was, she knew, her biggest flaw; whenever something needed to be said it took her a long time to build up the courage to say it. Walking back she wondered how she ended up on holiday with none of her friends. They had all booked the hotel and flight together but at the last minute all but Erica had to pull out for various reasons. For a while Erica had contemplated also cancelling but she had booked the holiday with a determination to change her habit of bad relationships and low confidence. The old Erica would have cancelled, not wanting to go away without her friends, her safety blanket, but the new Erica looked forward to challenges and so she decided to go ahead with the holiday and see where it led her. As she reached her room she decided that if she saw the woman again she wouldn’t hold back even if she felt like she wanted the floor to open up under her feet.
A quick shower and change and she found herself wondering what to do next. Looking around her small room she decided she didn’t want to hide away in it, instead she would go down to the hotel bar which overlooked the bay and get some food. It didn’t take long to get there but she was disappointed to find that it was very empty with only a couple of patrons sat in one of the booths so wrapped in one another’s attention they hadn’t noticed that there was now nothing in front of them on the table.
Taking a seat on one of the tables close to the bar she got a good view of both the hotel and the bay although she was disappointed to find that the beach was already empty with none of the volleyball players visible. With a heavy heart she ordered a salad and randomly picked a drink out from the menu. She wouldn’t have normally been so flippant with her choice but she was desperate to use some of the energy she had built up. Waiting for her food she looked out over the bay, the sun was just kissing the sea causing it to blush a variety of colours from peach to green. A warm breeze brushed against her skin as tropical birds flew past before settling on a tree their brilliant colours causing them to stand out against the emerald green leaves. Taking a sip from the odd blue coloured drink that had just arrived she desperately wished she had someone to share the view with, and was suddenly jealous of the couple sat talking to one another in the other booth.
An elderly couple walked past, their arms linked, hats hiding their faces. Although she couldn’t hear what they were saying it was clear they were very much in love. Erica felt her stomach flutter and a feeling of loss rush over her. She had been single now for almost a year. She kept telling her friends it was because she hadn’t found the right girl to go out with but deep down she knew the real reason was because she just didn’t have the confidence to ask anyone.
She was so lost in her thoughts she didn’t pay any attention to the area around her and so jumped when a hand was placed on her shoulder. Startled she looked up into the face of the woman from the earlier. Her stomach fluttered and she felt a blush begin to heat her face up as she gazed deep into the woman’s hazel eyes. The woman laughed nervously.
“I’m sorry, I don’t mean to make a habit of startling you. I was just wondering if anyone was sitting here?” She motioned to the seat next to Erica and when Erica wordlessly shook her head the woman sat down once again showing her brilliant smile.
Erica found herself staring and looked away focusing instead on the drink in front of her. She couldn’t help but pull a face at the taste of it a strange and disturbing mix of some odd fruit and pure sugar. The woman laughed, a sound like crystal that wrapped its way around Erica. She swallowed deeply and looked back at the woman.
“Nice drink?” She asked mirth in her voice. Despite feeling so nervous Erica laughed and shook her head.
“Terrible.”
“Let me get something better.” The woman leaned over and caught the attention of the waitress then whispered so that Erica couldn’t hear what was being said. The waitress smiled, nodded then whisked the blue concoction away. In no time at all it was replaced by a more natural colour drink in a long tall glass with a straw.
“There that’s much better.” The woman said and took a long draw from her straw. “Sara.” She said as means of an introduction.
Erica left the drink untouched but ran a hand up the glass enjoying the feeling of the coolness of it. Water condensed around her finger and she licked it off before replying.
“Erica. Did you have a good game earlier?”
Sara nodded.
“Yes, though it wasn’t really serious, it never can be with our group things just get too out of hand quickly. We didn’t stay much longer after you left.” She took another sip and Erica watched her lips surrounding the straw, suddenly she felt very jealous of the straw and wanted to be the focus of Sara’s lips.
“Where did everyone else go? Are you not here with them tonight?” Erica found herself talking just for the sake of saying something and drawing her own concentration away from Sara’s mouth.
Sara shook her head and leaned back in her chair.
“Not tonight, they’ve all found themselves waiters or guests to head off into the night with. I’m the only one who doesn’t share their tastes and besides I was hoping that I would bump into you again. I’m glad I did.” A glint in Sara’s sent butterflies fluttering in Erica’s stomach and she hardly dared to believe what Sara was saying but at the same time was thrilled at what was being suggested. Taking a deep sip of her drink she swallowed hard and decided now was the time for her new confident self.
“Well I’m glad you found me, I was hoping we would have another chance to speak. I was enjoying watching you in the volleyball.” She stopped talking, she knew what she had said might be considered creepy but she wasn’t too sure how to bring the suggestion out that she liked women. Taking another long sip to prevent her from saying anything else and to cover up her nervousness she waited for Sara to respond.
It seemed like ages before she spoke but in reality she was sure it was only a few seconds, but when she did speak much to Erica’s delight it was just the response she wanted.
“To tell you the truth I didn’t miss the ball by accident. I’d seen you when the horses raced down the beach and was hoping I’d be able to talk to you. I couldn’t miss the opportunity to talk to someone as gorgeous as you.”
Erica faltered.
“Thank you for the compliment, but I’m not beautiful not in the classic sense, I’ve always thought of myself as rather plain looking.”
Sara shook her head and gazed at her with desire burning in her eyes, the intensity of which stunned Erica briefly.
“Nonsense, you’re gorgeous, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.”
Erica’s food arrived and despite herself she realised how hungry she was. Diving in conversation dwindled whilst she ate, Sara also had some food and when they were both finished Sara stood up.
“Let’s get out of here. Go somewhere more private.” Sara winked and held out her hand.
Swallowing hard Erica stared at her not sure how to respond. She wasn’t the kind of person to suddenly go off with anyone that she had just met let alone anyone she had spoken to as little as Sara no matter how good looking she happened to be. Yet, she reminded herself that was the old Erica and for once she was trying to be more spontaneous. Despite a little voice at the back of her head telling her not to, she grinned took a tight grasp of Sara’s hand and stood up.
The sun had now gone down completely the brilliant sunset being replaced by a warm silvery glow from the full moon. It caused the water to ripple as if it was made from molten metal and caused the sand to sparkle as if it was made up of millions of tiny diamonds.
Erica continued to hold Sara’s hand as they walked scarcely able to believe what was happening yet not wanting to pinch herself in case it was a dream. The sand was soft beneath her feet and as they walked she brushed against Sara more loving the warmth of her skin pressed against the bare arm of Sara.
The way the moon hung in the air and the gentle lapping of the sea gave the whole scene a sense of romance. They hardly spoke as they walked both lost in thoughts of their own but as they approached the tree under which Erica had fallen asleep Sara suggested they sit down for a while. With no objections Erica gladly sat and was instantly taken with how Sara looked in the moonlight. Her skin glowed as if she was some sort of ethereal creature, almost nymph like in her beauty.
She sat looking at Sara her nerves suddenly getting the better of her. Frozen with uncertainty she sat and would have likely stayed there for longer had Sara not suddenly leaned toward Erica placing a soft but loving kiss on her lips. In no time the kiss was over Erica looked deep into Sara’s eyes, unable to speak or move as if frozen in a spell. Time seemed to slow down and to Erica it seemed as if she had been looking into Sara’s eyes for days. Finally Sara smiled and then laughed, breaking the tension that had built up around them.
“Erica, why do you look so worried?” She raised her hand brushing it against her face, tracing her cheek bones, leaving Erica’s skin flushed and excited. Erica nervously smiled.
“I just want to feel like this forever, I’m trying to remember it all in as much detail as I can.” Sara grinned and leaned forwards to kiss Erica again, her lips slightly open she explored Erica’s mouth with her tongue. Erica felt warm even though the sun had now gone below the horizon and the temperature was dropping. Her whole body seemed to lift off the floor and the world span around her. Not wanting the kiss to end this time Erica leaned into the kiss wrapping her arms around Sara and pulling her down onto the grass. As she did so her nerves melted away and she pressed herself against Sara’s warm body. Despite them both wearing more clothes than the bikini’s from earlier in the day Erica was pleased to find that she could feel Sara’s breasts underneath her, the nipples hardening and pressing up against her as Erica’s own also reacted.
Erica felt Sara’s hands wrap around her pulling her closer. Erica wriggled and shifting her weight sat up forcing Sara to let go. Smiling down at her Erica took hold of Sara’s wrists and pushed her hands up against Sara’s head. Licking her lips as she looked down at Sara she shifted downward knowing exactly what she was wanting.
Leaving Sara’s hands where they rested Erica tugged at Sara’s sarong easily undoing it she moved down between Sara’s legs spreading them wide. She heard Sara gasp but she didn’t stop her so Erica continued. Bending down she placed quick kisses up Sara’s thighs moving upwards as she felt Sara arch her hips. Placing a hand on Sara’s stomach she pinned her to the floor but continued to move upward her attention purely on her goal. Reaching it she didn’t pause instead darted her tongue forward pushing it into her folds whilst breathing her scent in. An intoxicating mix of earthy scents washed over her that made her stomach knot with delight and her body shiver with pleasure.
Sara’s cried out causing Erica to pause afraid someone might hear and come over to where they were. As no there was no cry of surprise or movement from anywhere she continued pushing her tongue in deeper before pulling out and flicking the tip over Sara’s clit. Sara cried out again shifting her body and arching her hips pushing herself upward so that more of Erica’s tongue was on her.
Heart hammering Erica continued to lap at her pussy completely ignoring the part of her brain that was disbelieving any of this was happening and let herself focus solely on the moment. Wriggling as she lapped at Sara she moved her hand from Sara’s stomach and snaked it down her own body slipping it into her waistline. Finding her goal she pressed her fingers against her own clit and as she lapped at Sara’s pussy she got herself into a rhythm that she so desperately wanted.
Sara tasted delicious and she found herself wanting more so increased her lapping darting forward and sucking on her clit. Sara’s cries became louder and more desperate; Erica could feel all her muscles tightening and guessed that she was close to orgasm. Speeding up her own fingers she drove herself closer to her own orgasm.
Sara’s hands grabbed hold of her head and pushed her down forcing her to remain in place. All Erica could do was breath in deeply letting Sara’s scent overwhelm her and drive her onward. As she tensed her heart pounding in her chest Sara’s nails dug into her head and her cries became more primal almost screaming out as her orgasm rocked through her. Erica felt Sara’s pussy and clit pulsing all Sara’s muscles tighten. Not holding back Erica moved her fingers faster until her own body pulsed and shuddered with her own orgasm.
She didn’t move away from Sara until Sara’s muscles had relaxed and the hands had been removed from her head. As she did move she found Sara looking down at her the moonlight shining in her eyes. They seemed to be reflecting the whole of the moon and Erica felt herself drawn to them. Moving up Sara’s body she kissed her passionately feeling herself overcome with emotions as Sara moaned into her mouth.
When they pulled away from the kiss Sara stared at Erica and bit her lip before looking back to the hotel.
“I have some sand in places I shouldn’t.” It was a comment that was so out of the blue it stunned Erica into silence for a moment before she began to giggle. Sara looked up at her and tilted her head before she chuckled followed by laughing out loud. She wasn’t sure why it was so funny but it was a long while before Erica could stop laughing. When she did she stood up and held her hand down to Sara.
“Come on then, there’s a shower back in my room.”
She didn’t ask Sara to come back with her but Sara didn’t object to her comment and so with the unspoken understanding that the night was far from over they both headed back to the hotel arms wrapped around one another’s waists. Erica happier then she had been for a while and surprised at what a difference a day could do especially when she was trying to live outside of her comfort zone.
