NEW LONDON DESIGNER SELLS ENTIRE DEBUT COL LECTION
Local designer Mimi Ryan delighted the audience with her debut fashion show on Saturday in aid of the Tom Harris Foundation for Climbing for the Disabled.
The show was introduced by Luca Fiorini of the couture-house Fiorini International who, in a rare public appearance, praised the workmanship, elegance and stunning design of the Mimi Ryan Signature Collection. Following the show, Mr Fiorini personally introduced Miss Ryan to many of the fashion buyers at the show and later that evening, at a prestigious party he had arranged in her honour.
In a statement to the press, Miss Ryan confirmed that she had sold her entire ready-to-wear collection of women’s clothing to an international retailer and the spring-summer designs would be available in luxury department stores worldwide early next year.
Media coverage of this charity event was provided by the award-winning sports photographer Hal Langdon, of Langdon Events, who is preparing to film a documentary about the late mountaineer Tom Harris. It is understood that Mr Langdon will be accompanying Miss Ryan on her overseas visits to meet buyers over the next few months, beginning with an extended holiday in Japan and the Far East.
