“Get out, now.” I roar.
In an instant she rushes from my room leaving me alone.
Slipping on my clothes once more I move towards my door and open it before changing into my wolf form.
I run past Blue and the others.
They yell at me but I ignore them as I run straight towards my father’s office.
Halfway there a hard body slams into me.
It was Blue but in wolf form.
His black fur blends in with mine as he stands tall over my body.
I lay still not believing what I was seeing, he was an Onyx wolf, and he was just like me.
He growls at me as I try to move.
I stop and give in, tilting my head to the side exposing my neck to him.
After a moment he places his open mouth to my neck to assert his dominance before he lets go and then steps back before changing into his human form.
“I won’t let you free him, Parker.” He states abruptly.
I let out a huff and stand to my feet before walking away with my head held low.
I don’t know exactly what was driving me to free Emmett but I couldn’t see him getting punished.
He hadn’t really done anything wrong.
I had asked for this, I had enjoyed it when had gotten rough with me.
When I had the chance I was going to get inside my father’s office so that I could free Emmett so he could run away from here to safety.
I just needed a moment.
21-Making Up
“Come on, Parker, you need to open this door and let someone in.” Blue calls out.
I groan and roll onto my side away from the door.
My grief had become overwhelming without Emmett around to help me mask over the pain.
I didn’t want to move let alone talk to anyone.
Blue growls out from the other side before the sound of metal breaking sounds out before my door swings open.
I turn to yell but stop as Blue slams the door shut before moving towards me in a predatory way.
He doesn’t say a word as he moves over me on the bed and then grabs my hands pinning them above my head as his eyes look deep into mine.
My body quickly relaxes under him as I stare up at him with want.
I needed this.
I needed it in order to get rid of my pain.
“Is this what you need?” Blue asks softly as he moves one of his hands to cup my cheek tenderly.
I nod and close my eyes.
“Do you want it from me? Do you want me to take your pain away?” He then questions as he buries his face into my neck and takes a deep breath before allowing it to fan over my skin.
“Yes, please.” I whisper.
“I’m not him.” Blue states abruptly.
I open my eyes to look up at him as he gazes down to me. “I’m not him.” He repeats. “I’m not Emmett.”
“I know. It was never him I wanted.” I confess. “I’ve always wanted you, Blue. It’s always been you.”
Blue smirks. “Is that why I had all of those naughty dreams? Were you thinking about me every time?”
I nod and smile shyly.
“Good girl.” Blue whispers before pressing his lips against mine.
Instead of taking it any farther Blue pulls back and then releases my hands before lying down on the bed beside me.
Rolling to my side I snuggle in close to him, laying my head against his chest.
“Parker, do you really want this? Do you really want to be with me?” Blue questions quietly.
“I do, Blue.” I answer without a second thought.
Right here and now I felt whole.
It didn’t take much for him to take away my pain. Just being near him was enough. Just laying in silence was enough to make me feel as if I could continue on, it gave me strength.
“I’m still not him though, Parker.” Blue whispers.
He wasn’t talking about Emmett this time, he was talking about Gage.
I look up to him and nod as I reach my hand up to his face and trace over the scar on his eyebrow with my finger. “I know you’re not him, Blue. Gage made me happy, but you, you make me feel complete.”
He smiles down at me as he traces his thumb over my bottom lip. “How did I get so lucky?”
I smirk. “You must be forgetting how much you hated wolves before I turned you into one.”
He snorts. “I did hate them until I realized that not all of them are as bad as I thought, but there’s also the small fact that I was falling in love with one and didn’t even realize it.”
“You’re falling in love?” I ask softly.
He nods. “I’m already in love.”
“Are you sure?” I question with surprise.
He nods confidently. “So much so that I’m willing to overlook what you did with Emmett, but don’t get me wrong I’m not happy about what happened but I understand it.”
“I also want to rip his throat out for hurting you the way he did.” He adds.
I sigh. “He didn’t really hurt me the way that you’re thinking, Blue. Every one of these bruises was from us just being rough with each other. He never hit me just because.” I try to explain.
“It still isn’t right.” Blue argues as his jaw ticks with anger.
“I know but I don’t want him punished harshly for something I asked for.” I reply.
Blue nods his head. “I’ll see what I can do to talk Titus and Rixon to go slightly easier on him, but I make no promises. My father sees you as a daughter in his eyes and I doubt he will listen to me. I doubt your father will either.”
“All I’m asking is that you at least try.” I sigh and resume my spot with my head against his chest.
Silence surrounds us as I listen to the stead thump of his heart beneath my ear as his hand strokes over my hair in a soothing motion.
This was perfect.
Even though we were just laying with each other that feeling of pure bliss washes over me in a wave as I close my eyes.
All of my worries and cares just vanish.
His scent fills my nose and I can’t help but sigh happily.
“Wake up, Sweetheart.” Blue whispers as he shakes me gently. “We’re going to miss dinner if you don’t wake up.”
His stomach suddenly growls and I chuckle as I stretch over top of him.
While letting out a low sexy groan Blue’s arms circle around me, holding me close. “On second thought maybe skipping dinner would be worth it.”
Pushing my way up I press my lips to his.
And a moment later he flips us so that I was now laying on the bed with him hovering above me.
Pulling back slightly he grins. “Do we really have to wait until the alpha ceremony before I can make you mine?”
I nod and bite my lip for a moment. “You do but as soon as it’s over you can have me. We won’t have to wait for the mating ceremony.”
“Good, because I don’t think I could wait that long.” Blue sighs out.
“Me either.” I agree.
Placing one more kiss to my lips Blue pushes off the bed to stand to his feet before reaching out his hand to me.
I take it and allow him to pull me out of bed.
“Let’s go eat before you starve me to death.” Blue teases.
Chuckling I let him lead me from my room and down stairs to the dining room where everyone was already sitting around the table eating.
“Glad you two could join us.” My father states out loud as he motions for us to sit down in the two empty seats next to him.
We quickly take our seats and begin dishing food out onto our plates.
“How are you feeling, Parker?” Dad asks as he leans in close to me.
“I’m better now, Dad.” I reply.
He nods and glances over to Blue for a moment before turning his attention back to me. “Have you chosen?”
I nod. “I have.”
“Good.” He replies before standing to his feet.
Everyone
around the table goes quiet as they turn their attention to my father.
“After dinner I want everyone to join me outside behind the house as we will be having Blue’s alpha ceremony tonight. I want everyone from my pack, Parker’s pack, and those of you who came with Titus to run with us during this celebration.” He announces.
It was a shocking surprise.
It was unusual for a new alpha to run with so many packs like that.
It was an honor though.
Under the table I reach for Blue’s hand.
He smiles nervously at me as he squeezes my hand.
“We will also be celebrating the coming union between my daughter and Blue as she has chosen him to be her future mate.” My father adds.
Suddenly a loud snarl erupts from somewhere in the house.
My father bows his head for a moment until the echoing sound of the snarl disappears. “We will also be holding punishment against the Draco alpha as soon as their mating ceremony is over. He will be punished to the fullest without mercy.”
His last words were a promise.
Whatever he was going to do to Emmett was going to be harsh.
It was something that Emmett didn’t honestly deserve.
I was going to have to do something drastic to save him before he was punished.
But what, that was the question.
22-The Alpha Run
After dinner is finished everyone gathers outside near the back of the house where there was already a large fire burning bright.
The sun was already nearly down so the sky was darkening quickly.
I was growing excited along with the others.
The alpha run was an exciting time.
I had only done it once, but that was when I had gone through the ceremony myself.
At the end of our run Blue was going to have to do the one thing we had all done, he was going to have to fight and kill a normal wolf in order to capture its essence.
It would then be placed in a vial that he would wear around his neck.
It was the same thing that I had used to create him.
Normally this run was done at a younger age but since Blue had just been turned and had just been introduced into this life his run was going to be a bit different.
Excitement builds as more and more members of our packs unite.
When Blue, Titus and my father join us everyone begins pacing.
Our wolves were all ready for a good run.
Blue moves to my side. “Is it bad that I’m really nervous right now?” He asks.
“You have nothing to be nervous about.” I reassure him.
“But what if I can’t kill the wolf at the end?” He questions as he begins pacing in front of me.
“You’ll be fine, Blue. If I could get through this when I was a kid then you can get through this at your age easily.” I reply confidently.
He nods but continues pacing nervously.
Stepping in front of him I take his face into my hands and gaze deep into his eyes. “You can do this. You will do this otherwise you won’t be able to have me. Do it for me.”
He takes in a long breath before letting it out slowly.
After his body relaxes slightly I lean up and press my lips to his.
His hands grip my hips as his lips move over mine passionately.
When he finally leans back he grins. “I would do anything for you.”
With one more kiss he walks away confidently towards my father and Titus.
“This is going to be fun.” Harley suddenly states as she bounces on her heels beside me.
I nod and grin brightly. “Yes, it will be.”
“What exactly do we do?” Damon grunts as he joins us.
“Just stick close to me and follow my lead. We really won’t have to do much other than having to watch what happens.” I reply.
Dillon and Ford appear on my other side after a few minutes.
“Do you mind if I run with you and your pack, Parker?” Ford asks shyly.
“I don’t mind at all, Ford.” I reply without a second thought.
Standing near the fire my father claps his hands together to gain everyone’s attention. “Is everyone ready for the run?”
Everyone gives their answers with yes’s, grunts, or quick yells of excitement.
Dad grins brightly before motioning towards Blue. “Let’s all bow our heads and have a moment of silence.”
Everyone does as they are told.
It was a moment for us all to take a moment and reflect.
“Now, I want all of the alphas to gather once we are at the end. Instead of a pack surrounding Blue when he fights the wolf I want the alphas to show their support.” My father states after our moment of silence is up.
All around the alphas grunt their agreements.
“Alright, let’s get this started.” My father then claps his hands again and we all begin to change into our wolf forms.
Once we’re all in our wolf forms Blue takes the lead and runs into the forest.
Titus follows behind him with his pack and then my father and his pack follow behind them.
Last but not least me, Ford, and my pack fall into place at the rear.
In front of us wolves bump into each other playfully as they run side by side. They jump and twist over logs and bushes.
Catching their joy I let my wolf completely take control.
She jumps high and dodges right and left between the trees while playfully nipping at Dillon and Ford as they run next to me.
This is what we lived for.
This is what our wolves were made to do.
We run for miles until our run quickly comes to an end.
Everyone settles down and the alphas all make their way to the front of the packs where Blue was already facing off a dark grey wolf.
My heart pounds in my chest as I watch them circle each other.
Blue was the larger wolf but his inexperience left him vulnerable.
As the wolf lunges forward I swear my heart literally skips a beat.
Thankfully Blue dodges the attack and wages his own hard blow to the wolf’s back. His sharp teeth sink into the wolf’s fur and skin.
Blue’s upper hand only lasts a moment before the wolf twists and somehow pins Blue to the ground with his teeth at Blue’s throat.
This is what I had feared.
It wasn’t unheard of for one of our kind to actually lose to a regular wolf.
Some died.
And right now I feared that Blue was going to become one of those who would lose his life.
The fear of watching him die makes my heart ache.
I couldn’t watch it happen again.
I take a step forward but Ford nips at me reminding me that I couldn’t intervene no matter how much I wanted to.
I had to give Blue a chance.
As I watch on Blue’s soft eyes meet mine and then change with a hard look of determination.
With a fierce growl Blue twists and pulls away from the wolf’s grasp before he turns and pins the wolf down to the ground with his teeth planted firmly on his throat.
Blood flows down Blue’s fur but he doesn’t let it ruin his concentration.
The wolf below him suddenly submits and Blue’s eyes look towards me once more before he twists his head killing the wolf below him.
He had done it.
Titus quickly changes forms and produces a vial before moving over to the dead wolf’s body.
He chants a few words and then holds the vial near the mouth of the wolf. We all watch on as a soft blue light flows from its mouth and pours into the vial.
After it’s done Titus caps the vial and then places it around Blue’s neck before changing back into his wolf form.
Each one of the alphas bumps into Blue playfully before running off into the forest with their packs following close behind them.
I stay behind and nuzzle my face into his fur before licking at the blood still dripping from his wound.

; It was a bad wound but nothing life threatening as long as he remained in wolf form.
Changing into my human form for a moment I kneel down and pat his head. “You need to stay in this form until your wound heals. If you don’t it could kill you, okay.”
He nods his head once and I smile before kissing the top of his head before changing back into my wolf form once more.
“You guys can go on back home without me. I’m going to stay back with Blue.” I command my pack as they wait patiently for me.
They each nod their heads once before following Dillon into the forest.
We watch as they disappear before I bump my body against Blue’s and begin leading us back home at a much slower pace.
Every so often Blue would let out a soft whimper.
I knew he was hurting but it wouldn’t take long for him to heal.
I could have easily healed the wound being an alpha but we weren’t supposed to. The first wound you got as an alpha had to heal on its own.
It was a rite of passage to wear your scar proudly.
My first scar was from my fight with my wolf. He had left a nice bite mark on my back. It had nearly cost me everything.
But like Blue I had gotten the upper hand back.
I had gotten lucky.
As we reach the edge of the woods we stop and I once again lick Blue’s wound clean before leading him into the house and into the kitchen.
I change into my human form and begin fishing out medical supplies so that I could tend to his wound and make certain that it wouldn’t get infected.
“What’s wrong, Parker?” My father questions as he joins us in the kitchen.
“His wound is pretty bad. I’m just going to clean it out for him and wrap it until it heals.” I reply as I move over to Blue’s side with a box of supplies.
Dad nods his head and then moves in next to me to help.
Parting the fur I let out a string of curses.
It was a lot worse than I had originally thought.
“Parker, this is bad.” Dad grunts.
“I know, but we can’t do anything to help him.” I whisper as I try to clean it out the best that I could.
“If he keeps losing blood like that it’s going to kill him.” My father sighs roughly.
“Then we will give him my blood.” I state. “I’ll change into my wolf form and you can take my blood from me and give it to him until he heals.”
