She put her hands together as in a prayer.

“Ok, we’ll take it,” he agreed with a sigh, and in the next moment he had his squeaking wife hopping excitedly in his arms.

“You won’t regret it,” she promised. “You’ll see. I’ll make it the most perfect house.”

“I don’t doubt it,” he assured her warmly. “I’ll make the offer first thing Monday morning.”

“Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you!” she cried, throwing her arms around his neck, kissing him repeatedly on the cheek.

His arms closed around her. “You certainly know how to convince me,” he murmured thickly, nuzzling her neck. He expected a nice kiss in return, but she stiffened in his arms.

“What do you mean?” She pushed away from him, a heavy frown on her face.

“Well you know...” he nudged her playfully, “I was very happy about what you did in my office earlier.”

She flinched from him, her face turned white and the next moment the similar shade of red like the old wallpaper in the living room where they stood. “You think I did it just because I wanted you to buy the house?”

“No, of course, not just because of that,” he assured her, rubbing her arms, “But you know,” he gazed into her eyes, “Perhaps you wanted to put me into a better mood,” he suggested. “And you certainly did.” He grinned, drawing her closer to him. “It worked beautifully.” He squeezed her to him.

She slapped his hands from her, stepping away. “You are horrible, so...insensitive!” she accused him.

He stared at her in shock.

“How can you even think that I could do something like that?” she cried angrily, tears instantly brimming in her eyes.

“Do what?” He didn’t understand why she was so upset.

“That I touched you sexually just to convince you to buy this house?”

“Amy, I know that you didn’t....” he started, not knowing how to get out of it now. The conversation took an unpredictable turn for sure. “It’s just... I was kidding you. I didn’t mean to say anything wrong...”

She bit her lower lip, refusing to look at him.

“Please, sweetheart, I didn’t want to offend you.” He tried to pull her back into his arms, but she resisted.

Her eyes narrowed. “Does it mean that you think that I let you touch me every evening because I’m paying my father’s debt to you, that I do it because you rescued the company from the bankruptcy?” she demanded.

He cupped her face with both hands. “No, Amy, I would have never thought something like that.”

“But you sounded just as if you had thought just that,” she insisted with a glare.

  “I didn’t.”

She studied him wearily for a moment. “I like when we touch and it’s the only reason why I initiated it today. It was an impulse. I didn’t do it to gain something. But if you think I have some other motives for this, I’ll be very happy to restrain myself in the future from touching you.”

His mouth fell open and he stared at her, wondering how they’d come to this. He didn’t mean anything wrong, didn’t want to insult her, just tease her a bit. He really didn’t understand her reaction. Still he could see the hurt and embarrassment in her eyes, though he still did not get why she felt so offended. God, she was touchy about certain things. He knew that he must remember to be more careful in the future about what he was saying to her.

“Amy.” This time she let him pull her into his embrace. “Forgive me. Believe me that I didn’t mean anything wrong. It’s just me and my big mouth. I’m just stupid. Stupid and arrogant. I want you to touch me, I want it very much. Always,” he whispered into her hair.

He heard her sigh, and she lifted her face at him. “You really do mean it?” He could see that she was still a bit suspicious and unsure.

“Yes.” He caught her lips in a long unhurried kiss.

He took his time to make it good for her, using to his advantage all that he’d learned about her so far. First, he nibbled at her lips, coxing them gently open, before thrusting his tongue inside, still not too deep as he knew that she didn’t enjoy it. He didn’t forget about stroking and later kissing her neck, knowing how sensitive she was there even to the slightest touch. When he let her go, she sagged against him, her eyes misty and unfocused. He hoped the kiss did the trick and she wasn’t angry with him anymore. He didn’t like her to be angry with him, he’d discovered quite a time ago. He virtually couldn’t bear her tears. Good God, he’d become completely pussy-whipped. He would probably do anything just to keep her happy.

“What do you want to do with the rest of the day?” he asked when they walked back to the car.

She eyed him carefully. “If you’re tired we can simply go back home.”

“Yeah, I’m tired,” he agreed. “But I think I need some relaxation. Perhaps some small shopping?”

“You’re the only man I know or even heard of who thinks about shopping as a way to relax,” Amy noted dryly. “Still, we must buy groceries for the next week, there’s little left in the fridge,” she added practically.

Jake pulled a long face. “Groceries? How very unromantic.”

“Unromantic?” She glanced at him mockingly. “Perhaps it’s unromantic but you like to have a nice dinner made out of this unromantic shopping.”

“It’s only because you’re such a great cook,” he said and opened the car door for her. “Not even two months married to you and all of my trousers are too tight.” He patted his stomach.

Amy gave him an appraising look from the front seat of the car. “You look just fine.”

“But hardly like those models with a stomach like a radiator,” he noted.

Amy shrugged. “They’re too skinny, like some living zombies, not sexy at all.”

“No, and who is sexy in your opinion?”

“Mm...” she pretended to think. “I don’t know.”

“Sure, you know, you just don’t want to tell me.” He straightened up and closed the door, walking around the car to climb into the driver’s side. “As for my weight, I am serious,” he continued when he started the car, pulling out of the driveway. “I don’t want people to look at us and think, such a small, delicate woman with a husband looking like some hulk.”

“You shouldn’t care about what other people think about us,” Amy said earnestly. “Besides you’re exaggerating about it. You’re in good shape. ”

“I don’t want to be too heavy for you in bed,” he noted almost casually, and observed with amusement that her face flushed bright red. “Still blushing,” he shook his head with a smile.

Amy didn’t acknowledge his comment, and there was a long silence before she spoke again, curiously glancing out the widow. “Where are we going exactly?

“To the mall.” He looked at her, before his eyes returned to the road. “We can buy groceries there, and I’d like to buy you something.”

She turned to him, titling her head. “Like what?”

He shrugged. “Something nice, anything you fancy. Later we can have lunch in some nice place.”

“Ok,” she agreed quietly, turning toward the window again. “But you don’t have to buy me anything.”

They spent some two hours wandering around the mall. Jake wanted to buy everything in the window displays that he noticed caught her eye. At last, she agreed on his purchasing a lovely necklace in white gold, with matching earrings and a bracelet. She really liked the set, knowing she would wear it often, as it was casual enough to wear for work, but suitable as well for a more formal occasion.

Then he bought her a dress he’d chosen for her. It was rather on the short side, a red number with bare arms and low cut back. Still she was pretty sure that she would never dare to put such an outfit on and wear it anywhere in public. Later, after they had a light lunch, they bought the groceries and decided to return home as she declared she had a headache. Jake left her for a moment in a small coffeehouse and rushed to the drug store to get some painkiller for her headac
he.

On their way home, her headache grew worse, more intense, and when they got into the condo, Jake insisted that she must take a nap. She attempted a weak protest at first, arguing there were groceries to unpack, but he ignored her protests, removed her skirt and jacket and pushing her gently but firmly on the bed, covering her with the warm blanket. Luckily she managed to fall asleep promptly, almost the moment her head touched the pillow.

  Chapter Fourteen

Amy lifted her heavy eyelids, feeling as though sand were beneath them. Rubbing her eyes, she threw off the blanket and dragged herself to the bathroom. She washed her face, removed the rest of the make-up she’d worn earlier, and brushed her teeth. On entering the bedroom again, she noted that the condo was quiet and darkened. Her headache was gone, but she felt sulky and still sleepy. Now that she’d slept during the day, she probably wouldn’t be able to sleep at night. She glanced at the clock on the bedside table, noting the time was almost seven o’clock.

The condo was very silent and she wondered whether Jake was home. Careful not to make a sound she tiptoed out of the bedroom, down the corridor, into the living room area. The TV was on, but the sound was off. Jake was seated on the couch in front of it, bent over his laptop with a heavy frown.

Amy decided not to reveal her presence, not wanting to interrupt him in his work. When she returned to the bedroom, the first thing she noticed was that the drapes were open. Walking to the window to close them, she tripped over the shopping bags left on the floor, and partially on the vanity. She closed the drapes, and then picked up the bags, putting them neatly on the bed. One of them caught her attention, because she hadn’t remembered buying anything in the shop from which it came. She knew the place of course; it was one of her favorite lingerie stores.

Peeking curiously inside, she retrieved a very fancy get up in sheer black see through lace and satin. When had he managed to buy it? Perhaps when he’d left her alone in the bookshop? Yes, it had to be then. But she’d been so engrossed in perusing the bookshelves that she’d barely noticed his absence. She gaped with round eyes at a very revealing bustier slip, with tiny matching panties. It would never come to her head to buy herself such a thing. It was impractical, and she almost never wore black underwear, preferring white or neutral, more practical under things. Looking with amusement at the black number, she conceded that her husband had obviously possessed different tastes than she.

She held it up to herself and walked over to the floor length mirror standing in the corner of the room. It looked just her size and if he’d left it here perhaps he wanted her to find it or even expected her to model it for him? She grinned to herself, suddenly delighted and not a little excited with the idea of wearing such a sexy get up.

She tiptoed back to the bathroom, refreshed herself a little, brushed her hair, and put some perfume between her breasts.

Very carefully, she put the outfit on, and stood in front of the mirror. When she saw her own reflection, her mouth fell open. The slip hid the bare essentials-- just barely— her breasts were almost falling out from the bodice, and the panties were barely there, her pubic hair peeking out at the sides. She adjusted the panties, but it didn’t help much. Such briefs demanded Brazilian waxing for sure.

She was just modeling it in front of the mirror when she froze, hearing Jake’s quiet voice.

“Amy, I thought I heard something.”

For a moment, she fought the impulse to cover herself, or hide somewhere, preferably close herself back in the bathroom or crawl under the bed. But then she took a deep breath, straightened up, reminding herself that she was a grown-up married woman, and in any case he’d already seen most of her.

“Bought it for me?” she purred walking to him, lifting herself on her toes.

She winced hearing her own pseudo seductive voice, but Jake seemed not to mind. He nodded to her question and kept staring at her body, his eyes focused on her breasts, stomach, hips. She only hoped he wasn’t just comparing her to some tall, slim, long limb, busty model.

“How did you know my size?” she asked, in her more casual voice, resigning from the husky drawl she’d tried earlier. It felt unnatural to her ears.

He shrugged, his gaze focused on her panties. “Guessed.”

“It’s pretty,” she twirled around in front of him. “I wouldn’t probably buy something like this since it’s a bit impractical with all of the lace and satin.”

“I like it,” he said in a low thick voice, as he stepped closer, drawing her to him, his hands smoothing over her body.

“Why didn’t you give it to me earlier?” she inquired as she stood obediently next to him, letting him touch her.

His hands rested on both sides of her small waist. “I wanted to wait for the right moment.” He clasped his hands around her, trying to meet his outstretched fingers, and he nearly did it.

She didn’t mind. Her bottom was big, her lower tummy not exactly the leanest and flattest, but at least her waist was really small.

She found the courage and asked breathlessly, “Is it the right moment now?”

He met her eyes, his expression serious. “For me yes. It is the right time,” he clarified.

She snuggled against him. “For me, too.”

He cradled her face, making her look at him. “I won’t ask you again,” he caught her gaze with his. “Are you sure?”

“Yes,” she whispered and put her hands around his neck.

Jake returned the embrace, and they stood together like this for a long moment, before he started a long, unhurried kiss.

Amy melted into him, savoring the closeness, and the intimacy, allowing him to press her down on the bed. She smiled and lifted her hands to him. He joined her and the next moment his hands and mouth were everywhere on her.

He kissed her body through the lace and satin, without removing the outfit. Amy squirmed happily when his hand cupped her mound through the tiny panties.

“I’m afraid I don’t have good news for you,” he murmured into her neck, while his fingers actively rubbed her through the scrap of silk between her legs.

“What do you mean?” she breathed, her pelvis lifting into his hand.

“I don’t have any protection,” he rasped as he pushed the thin scrap between her legs aside, his finger dipping gently between her folds.

“What?” she growled, her eyes rolling back at the sensation his fingers caused between her thighs. “You went to the pharmacy earlier,” she said with accusation.

“Yes, but to get something to relieve your headache, not to buy condoms,” he retorted, kissing her down her body. “Don’t worry, honey, I’ll take care of you right now.”

He positioned himself between her legs, grazing her inner thigh with his rough cheek.

“Oh, that’s nice,” she sighed, feeling his lips on the tender skin of her inner thigh. She let herself relax on the bed, allowing him to remove her panties. But when she felt his breath on her most intimate area, she writhed uncomfortably, and involuntarily pulled away.

He smoothed his hands over her hips and sides soothingly, retreating to kissing her inner thigh. When a moment later, he kissed lightly the top of her mound, she squirmed again. It was actually the first time he tried to go down on her, and she wasn’t sure how she felt about it. She had to admit that she was rather tense.

“Relax,” he murmured, his breath tickling her exposed tender flesh.

She wriggled slightly on the bed again. “Jake, I’m not so sure about this.”

He lifted up on his arm so she could see his face. “Amy, let me,” he said, stroking her leisurely. “You know I won’t hurt you, and I promise I will stop, the moment you think it’s too much, too uncomfortable for you.”

“Ok,” she conceded in a small voice, laid her head back on the bed, and closed her eyes.

She was tense and he took his time stroking her hips, sides, and legs till she relaxed again. When she felt his tongue on her private area, she found it rather strange, a kind of tick
ling sensation. He didn’t hurt her of course, and it felt nice, it really did, making her feel warm and very wet, but still it did nothing to her as she expected it should. She’d heard enough stories of the fireworks accompanying oral sex. But still it was nothing compared to the feelings he evoked in her, when he had his fingers touching her, and at the same time kept her closely pinned to him, kissing her, playing with her breasts.

She didn’t let him do that for more than a minute or so and he didn’t insist when she pushed him away.

“That’s all right,” he cooed into her ear, allowing her to hide her face into his chest.

“I’m sorry,” she managed, feeling guilty that she somehow couldn’t match his passion.

“Amy, everything’s all right, absolutely all right.” he stroked her back soothingly, kissing the top of her head. “It’s all still new for both of us and we have time to learn each other... It’s only the beginning.”

“I feel stupid,” she whispered, red-faced. He cradled her face, making her look at him. She could smell herself on his fingers and flushed even more.

“You shouldn’t.” He kissed her gently, wrapping her tightly in his arms.

“Perhaps, you could go to the drug store to buy some condoms.” she offered shyly after a moment.

He searched her eyes. “You’re sure?”

She nodded. “Yes, I feel it’s right. I don’t want to wait any more.”

He grinned at her, gave her a quick kiss on the cheek, and rushed out of the bedroom. He returned a moment later, already in his coat, stuffing his wallet into the inner pocket of it. “I’ll be right back,” he said, leaning over her, kissing her forehead. “Don’t move from here,” he added firmly and the next moment he was gone.

Amy shook her head, sighed and despite the order she’d received not to move from her spot, she padded to the bathroom, taking her tiny panties back with her. Seeing herself in the bright light, in the mirror above the sink, she winced inwardly. Her hair was wild, her face red, lips swollen, and eyes puffy. In her own opinion, she didn’t look a bit like some sophisticated enchantress.
