Not So Easily Broken

“Ramon, I had no idea that you went through that yesterday!” she began. “This makes me even more determined to have us become even closer on a spiritual level, because we definitely had some divine kind of help yesterday. I know that these coincidences were not just accidental. I really believe that this relationship is precious and I plan to treasure you for the rest of my life, said Courtney as she tenderly traced her index finger along Ramon’s lower lip.
Hearing those words Ramon’s heart felt so full that he thought it might burst and he kissed his wife tenderly. He had everything that a man could possibly want, money, a good name, a beautiful wife and finally a rock solid marriage.
“Courtney, there is one more thing I want to ask you about, said Ramon. “Last night we did not use a condom. Does that mean what I think it means? Are you ready for us to start a family?
“Ramon, there is nothing I want more than to make a little Ramon Jr. with you right now”, she answered cheekily.
Her answer was enough for him, breakfast could wait a little longer, and so could the lure of the sand, sea and sunshine outside. Pulling Courtney on top of his body he devoured her mouth hungrily, knowing that the future before them could not be brighter.
THE END
Note to the Reader:
The past has a way of getting in the way of the way we perceive the events in the present. By holding on to hurts and disappointments, it becomes easier to respond to the situations faced in marriage through what I like to refer to as tinted lenses, where everything seems to be a threat or an offense.
I want to invite you, to see if, like Courtney, there may be anything in your past that you can let go of, so that you can rebuild a true flame of love and passion with your spouse. Perhaps it might be hurtful words, the secrets kept or simply tragic experiences. Whatever it may be pray about it and spend some time releasing your pain and hurt. You will see that it works wonders in your responses and will make you a happier person and an even better lover and friend. ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Annalisa Simon is a hopeless romantic who melts like butter at the very idea of love, desire and passion, and can often be found curled up with a bowl of popcorn watching the latest romantic comedy. In fact, after watching the movie Titanic she was so moved by the passion of the love story that she cried for over twenty minutes in the cinema much to her chagrin. Throughout her teenage years and adult life her favourite pastime has always been reading romance novels and thus she is quite enamoured with the typical romance story and the happily ever after fairy tale wedding. Having experienced her own fairy tale ‘ending’ six years ago she has come to realize that where the typical romance novels ends is really the beginning of true passion and love. After watching the demise of many marriages and the rapid rise of divorce she is now on a mission to redefine true marriage, passion and romance with her Passionately Married series of books. It is her hope that every reader will see past the romantic wedding and experience the real joys of marriage. Even if a marriage is on the brink of separation she believes that it can be saved one book at a time.
After spending ten years in the teaching profession, she has finally decided to stop ignoring the call to write. Not Easily Broken is her first fiction novel and is also the first book in the Marriage Spice Collection of novellas. Many more books and category romances are set for release over the following months.
She resides on the tropical island of Barbados with her husband and daughter.
