A man needs to be strong to defend what he loves, and well, I love my life: the women, the gold, the sea...but most of all, the freedom. The work to attain these things has been hard, enduring the elements of nature, fighting with the Spanish, and struggling to make my stand among my brothers. But looking at the stars appearing in the night sky, I’m confident in the way my understanding of nature and mastery of navigation has made me a valued member of the crew. And looking at the steel of my blade, I know I’ve finally proven myself to be strong enough to defend myself and to stand up for what I believe in. I know I’ll have to continue fighting to uphold my stance among the Brethren of the Coast, but the rewards of this lifestyle are well worth the risk, even at the cost of carrying a bloodstained blade.

My name is Cristi Taijeron Other than writing pirate stories, I’m a stay home mother who also does the bookkeeping at the auto shop my husband and I own. I enjoy off-road adventures through the desert as much as I love building sandcastles at the beach, and at home I have a flower garden I tend to. Though I have been passionate about drawing, painting, and writing for most of my life, it has always been my greatest dream to publish a novel.
