Rio and the other guards separated the Seiyads from the rest of them, although the vampire males could more than hold their own. A tense, silent moment passed between all of them as they waited for his response. Finally, Laryn motioned for his own guards to stand down before smiling. His smile was anything but reassuring. The tension in the room increased.
“I'm here to claim a mate from your market,” Laryn boldly declared, ignoring the gasps that filled the room. “And I mean to have one, one way or another.”

I hope you enjoyed part one of Taken: The Vampire's Concubine. As a huge fan of television shows and mini-series, I wanted to write this series in a similar way.
