by Marika Christian

Debbie, Chris, Curt, Eddie and Vatican, for making Frenchmen a home.

Ashley Pflum, the person who knows me best, you saved me more than once.

Janet Davis, each and every day of work with you was fun. I miss you terribly.

Laurie & Richard Stepanski ,who are always in my heart.

Jeffrey Jasper, a true and dear friend that I suspect doesn't really know how important he is to me.

Melvis, who is STILL the queen of rock and roll. Never change. You inspire me too much.

Francesca Guanciale my late night buddy who commiserates, understands, and stands beside me.

Becky Cochrane, Tim and Tom, thank you so much for the inspiration, the friendship, and the grammar tips you've given me. I swear I am going to learn that apostrophe thing one day.

Gary Beagle, who always knows what I need—even if it's a Living Dead Doll.

Lisa Standal, for practical advice, a kind ear, and fun. Dog Girls are the coolest girls.

All my friends at Continental, especially Rodney Garris, Diana Taylor, John Morgan, Paul Fernandez, Cathi Ference Prosecky, Denise Schoonmaker, and Marie. I think of all of you so often, always with a smile. I grew up in the Continental family, I treasure those days of overbooked flights, mandatory overtime and baggage nightmares. I worked with the best people.

Speaking of working with the best people, also a big thank you to everyone I worked with at the St Pete Times. It was a great time to work there, and as always, my coworkers were amazing, especially the crew in paste up. Like my friends at Continental, you guys are a big part of who I am—and I love knowing all of you.

Scott Wells and Scott Thompson—the friend I have known the longest, it's been wonderful reconnecting.

George Coury, who has always offered guidance and friendship despite all of my silly questions.

And all my friends on blogger and LJ, not only do you give me a daily giggle, but you've enabled me to spend hours on the Internet—in a good way!

And of course, Dash—for daily doses of doggie sugar, belly rubs, and goofiness. Someone has to be my best friend, it's not an easy job, but you are the perfect dog for it.
