“I don’t care.” He rested his forehead against Josh’s. “I love you.”

  “God, I love you, too.”

Kirk kissed him, pouring all his love into the kiss. A wolf whistle from the yard made him pull away and glance over his shoulder.

“Get a room,” Gus said with a grin.

Josh chuckled. “Think he suspects you’re gay?”

“I’d say that’s a good bet. Guess I didn’t hide my feelings for you so well after all.”

“Except from me.” He clasped Kirk’s hands. “I was so stupid not to tell you how I feel. I was wrapped up in finally having my independence and didn’t see the very special thing I had right in front of me.”

“I didn’t want to hold you back from doing what you wanted to do.”

“What I want to do is be with you.”

Kirk smiled. All the sorrow and pain floated away with Josh’s words. “I want the same thing.”

“So, I guess we have a lot to talk about, huh?”

  “I guess so.”

Josh squeezed Kirk’s hands. “I was thinking I could get my job back here and you and I could take extended trips two or three times a year. Would that work?”

  “I’ll make it work.”

Josh’s smile lit up his face brighter than the sun. “Great! I’ll go back to Country Woods and see if I can rent my cabin again.”

Kirk shook his head. “No, you won’t. You’re moving in with me.”

Josh’s smile faded. “Are you sure? If I live with you, it won’t be long before the whole town knows about our relationship.”

“I don’t care. I’m tired of hiding who I am. I love you and I’m not ashamed of that.”

Josh’s smile returned, tender and full of love. “I’m not ashamed of loving you either.”

This time Kirk squeezed Josh’s hands. “Then move that piece of junk you drive into your parking spot and get back to work.”

“Yes, sir,” Josh said with a grin.
