“He’s my guardian and my best friend. He protects me, and I protect him.”

“You protect Tudoro Gialetti?” Vinny asked and smirked.

She slid from between them and went to fix his tie. “You would be surprised by my capabilities.”

Vinny slid his palm along her ass and pulled her close.

“Oh, I was pleasantly surprised by that talented mouth of yours and your salacious appetite for a cock in your ass multiple times last night.”

She slapped his shoulder. Sunny chuckled and gripped her hips and thrust against her.

“Tomorrow, be ready for us to pick you up from work and take you to dinner. That will confirm the rumors of where you were all night and day and who you belong to.”

  Chapter 6

“Are you out of your fucking mind? Why? I forbid you to be with them and you go behind my back and spend the entire weekend shacked up in a hotel with them?” Tudoro asked, raising his voice.

She sat in the chair, legs crossed and hands on her lap. She smiled at him, and his eyes widened.

“Tudoro—” she began to speak, and he interrupted.

“I had plans for you, for establishing protection for you that would ensure your safety.”

“Tudoro, listen to me. It’s over. You’ve provided me with protection, with love and friendship all these years. We’re close. You know everything.”

“Apparently not everything. Jesus, Adalina, two fucking men? The Costanzas, no less.”

“A great family, who has always provided for me and helped care for me and made me part of their family.”

“You can’t be part of that family and that fantasy. It isn’t in your destiny.”

“Really? And you know where my destiny lies?”

“In serious deep shit and danger if you don’t choose wisely. You need a man, or men, to protect you with their lives. Who have the power and the abilities to do so.”

“You do realize that the Costanza family, that Sunny and Vinny in particular, have the capabilities and the desire to do so? That they are pretty damn powerful, but most importantly…”

He turned away and paced. She stood up and grabbed his arm and turned him toward her. She held his gaze.

“Most importantly, they care about me. They would give their lives to protect mine, and I would give mine to protect them.”

His eyes widened. “You’re in love with them?”

She smiled softly. “You can’t force someone else on me that I have no feelings for. You can’t make a connection happen because it’s good for business or because it fits into this perfect idea of a plan to ensure my protection. I want nothing to do with Turk. He irks me, to be honest with you, and the power you’ve allowed him has made him think he can touch me and possess me. You need to call him off and tell him it’s over.”

  “It isn’t that simple.”

“Sure it is, and I don’t even have to see him. Our business with Solencio does not have to include meeting Turk. He’s Solencio’s main guy. His guard. I don’t need to see him.”

“Vega will escort you if there are meetings with Solencio that you must do in person. I’ll get in touch with Turk.” He exhaled.

Tudoro was about to walk toward his desk when Adalina took his hand and stopped him. She hugged his arm and stared up into his eyes.

“I adore them, Tudoro. They’re good men.”

“I hope you are right because, the second they screw up, I won’t hesitate destroying them.” She swallowed hard.

She smiled softly. “Be nice, Tudoro. You’re all the family I have and trust. I need your support and blessing. I need you to accept this relationship and know it’s what I want. I’m tired of hiding and not having what I need and what makes me happy. I should decide who gets to be in my life, in my heart, and in my bed. That shouldn’t be an executive guardian decision.”

He took a deep breath and exhaled.

“They hurt you, and I will personally put bullets in their heads.”

She gulped and then hugged him tight. He hugged her back. “I’ll take care of Turk.”

  * * * *

Turk roared and grabbed the chair by the table and threw it against the wall. He was raging after getting the call from Tudoro to back off. Adalina was involved with Vinny and Sunny Costanza.

“No! No, she’s mine,” he screamed out. He heard the whimpering and looked toward the corner of the room. The blonde he’d picked up in the bar last night, to get his mind off of Adalina and wanting her, huddled down low against the wall.

She was already bruised up and shaking with fear from earlier. He’d lost it a bit on her. Allowed his desires, the carnal needs he had when fucking women, to rule his action. He was usually in more control, but being away from his woman, from Adalina, was driving him insane. He’d planned on taking her out to dinner tonight on his return and then seducing her. Catering to her every whim then fucking her into submission. It was over. All ruined because of those two fucking assholes she’d known for years.

He should have gotten rid of them months ago when they started sniffing around her more.

His fists were by his sides. He was breathing through his nostrils. This wasn’t good. The plans were changing. Things were getting fucked up. Even this business trip had. His contact wanted more merchandise. He was making threats, warning that their little side operation was going to get busted. Someone had called this morning inquiring about deliveries from twelve months ago. A woman. Adalina.

The bitch would learn to stay in line and take direct orders. He’d put the fear of his wrath in her the minute he got back to New York. He looked at the blonde on the floor beginning to crawl away.

“Adalina, you have some punishments coming.”

“I’m not Adalina. Please. Please let me go,” she begged, and he closed the space between them, snagged her up by her hair as she screamed, and he dragged her to the bedroom.

I need to take off the edge. I have to feel it. The sensation of holding life in my hands then ending it. I’m coming home for you, Adalina, and then I’m making you mine forever.

The blonde screamed as she tried scrambling away, only for him to grab her legs and pull her back. “Lie still and take your punishments, and maybe, just maybe, I’ll let you live.”

  * * * *

Sunny pulled Adalina into his arms and kissed her first, and then he released her to Vinny, who kissed her next. She held on to them and shook her head, feeling her cheeks warm with embarrassment.

“Really? I thought I said to be inconspicuous,” she said.

“Fuck that. You’re our woman. The sooner every man knows it here, the better.” Vinny then brought her knuckles to his lips and kissed them.

  “You’re early to boot.”

Vinny gazed over her body in the business dress she wore. He ran his hand along her ass. “I missed this body. I’m thinking lunch could take a couple of hours. Maybe swing by our place with takeout and you for dessert.”

She laughed and patted his chest. “I don’t think so, tiger.”

Sunny laughed. “Are you all set to go?”

“Just about.” She pushed some strands of hair behind her ear.

“I just wanted to drop something off to Tudoro. Can you hold up a few minutes?”

“Sure thing,” Vinny said and then lifted the ceramic cherub off her desk and looked at it. “This is nice.”

“Thank you. It was a gift from Tudoro. It’s from Italy.”

“Very nice. An angel, just like you.” Vinny winked.

Before she started to head toward Tudoro’s office, the door opened and Vega was there.

She gave a wave, and Vega gave a nod then looked at Sunny and Vinny.

“Tudoro just got a phone call he has to take. Can he meet with you after lunch?” he asked.

“Oh, sure thing. I’ll be back in an hour.”

He nodded. Then Vega looked at Sunny and Vinny. “You got her?” he asked, his tone hard and demanding.

  “Definitely,” Sun
ny stated confidently.

They escorted her from the office and out to the black Escalade, where Sal Carlucci stood waiting. He was apparently a driver for Vinny and Sunny when they weren’t driving themselves around.

“We wanted our hands free with you in the back seat,” Vinny whispered next to her ear. She blushed and shook her head then reached out her hand to shake Sal’s.

  “Good to see you, Sal.”

  “You, too, Adalina.” He winked.

Vinny got in first then Adalina, with Sunny keeping a hand on her back, guiding her. As she slid along the back seat and took in the sight of the top-of-the-line interior, she smiled at Vinny, amazed that she was actually here with them.

  * * * *

“Are you fucking sure about this, Turk?” Crane asked him.

“I would do it myself, but I can’t be in two places at the same time. Plus, we need to work fast. Someone has been snooping around the files. That means both our asses.”

“Well, how will this stop anything?”

“For one, it will put a fear in Adalina and keep her out of those two assholes’ arms. Secondly, it will make it look like Vinny and Sunny Costanza are responsible for the product being taken.”

  “How can you prove that?”

“Plant fucking evidence, that’s how. We call Rubio.”

“That’s going to take a lot of finagling.”

“Yeah well, unless you would like to die by Tudoro’s or Solencio’s hands for getting caught, then we need to make it look like the Costanza family is involved.”

  “I don’t like this.”

“Tough fucking shit. Take care of what I asked. They’re at lunch. You have time to get into position.”

  “Fine. Dead or alive?”

“I need her scared and for this to look legit. I don’t need her distraught and hysterical over a death.”

  “I’ll take care of it.”

  “Good.”

Turk disconnected the call and then headed into the city. By the time he got close enough, he could take Adalina away and reinforce the need for her to remain protected and not with men with targets on their foreheads.

“Seriously?” Adalina asked as the SUV pulled up in front of Uncle Louie’s restaurant.

Vinny smiled. “Only the best place for our first date.”

She narrowed her eyes at him. “First date?”

Vinny slid his hand up her thigh under her skirt. “Well, we can count our weekend as a first date.” He was so damn gorgeous. Her cheeks blushed, and his smile widened.

“You two are trouble,” she scolded, and Vinny gave her a tap.

“Something tells me you like trouble.” He then leaned closer and whispered into her ear. “And I think being restrained, too.”

“Vinny.” She gave his arm a slap as Sunny got out of the SUV then offered her his hand. She took it, felt how shaky her legs were after Vinny’s comment and how much she wished they could have just headed to their place for takeout and dessert, but then she saw Bella, Mateus, and Major coming out of the restaurant. Bella’s eyes widened, and then Adalina was hugging her.

“Oh my God. So it is true? You and my brothers?” Bella asked.

Behind them, the men shook hands, and Adalina overheard Mateus mention some situation this morning, wondering if everyone was okay.

She glanced over her shoulder, locking gazes with Sunny, who then looked away from her.

“I can’t believe this,” Bella said. “I’m so happy. They adore you. We need to get together and talk about how things went down. I mean one minute you guys are there at the party, and then next, you disappear. You didn’t answer any of my calls.”

“Bella.” Major said her name, and she looked up at him.

Adalina could see the expression, and she couldn’t help but smile inside at how submissive Bella was to her men and their commands. Mateus and Major were bosses in all aspects of the word. She felt the arm go around her waist, and then Vinny was pressed up against her back.

“Well, we’ll catch up later,” he said, and Mateus gave her a wink.

“Enjoy lunch, and give us a call if you need any assistance,” Major said to Sunny.

  “We appreciate that. Thank you.”

Adalina looked over her shoulder at Vinny, but then he was walking her inside and Louie was there to greet them immediately with a huge smile on his face.

“What a surprise. Why didn’t you tell me it was Adalina you were bringing for lunch?” Louie stated and hugged her hello then shook his nephews’ hands.

“And ruin the surprise?” Vinny asked as Louie escorted them to a back table.

He watched as Sunny held out a chair for Adalina and then both men took seats on either side of her.

“This is special. Like old times,” he said. She smiled.

“How long you have? Your appetites are good? We get started from appetizers to dessert,” he said, all excited.

“Sounds great,” Vinny said and pulled Adalina’s hand to his lips and kissed her knuckles.

She gave him a sorrowful expression, and Louie scrunched his eyes.

“I have less than an hour. These two can stick around longer, though,” she said, and he smiled.

“I guess we don’t have time today, but I guarantee we’ll be back with plenty of time to indulge soon, Uncle Louie,” Sunny told him.

“Wonderful. I’ll be back with wine.”

She placed the napkin on her lap then felt Vinny’s hand on her knee, and Sunny placed his arm around her chair. She felt their touch and loved it. Loved having them so close.

“I missed you,” Vinny admitted, and she looked at him.

“I missed both of you, too.”

“See,” Sunny said and she turned to look at him. “That’s why you should have stayed. Tonight, you stay. Hell, all week at our place.”

She tilted her head sideways. “Not happening, Sunny.” He looked pissed.

“We need to take things slow. A lot of people are going to have to adjust to this. I mean, if it doesn’t work out, look at the family.”

“Doesn’t work out? Are you out of your mind? Do you seriously think that Sunny and I are ever going to let you go?” He clenched her chin and kissed her lips.

Louie returned with a bottle of wine and began to pour.

“Go right ahead. You three lovebirds don’t need to stop because of me. You’ve made my day.”

They chuckled, and Adalina felt happy.

After Louie left, they made a toast and took sips of wine.

“So what were Mateus and Major talking about before? Something happen?” she asked.

“Nothing for you to concern yourself with,” Vinny said, but she felt Sunny tense next to her.

  “What? You can tell me.”

“It was nothing. Just some guys who used to work in the warehouse. They were taking some products, we think, and reselling them. We put a stop to it.”

“Then why do Mateus and Major know about it and want to help?”

  Sunny stared at her.

“You’ve been around Tudoro and all of us. You know how this stuff works. You need to not ask questions.”

She felt a bit uneasy and didn’t know why.

“If you recall, I knew about your business and family connections for quite some time. I don’t think typical girlfriend etiquette applies to me,” she stated.

“Girlfriend, huh?” Sunny asked and clenched her chin then kissed her tenderly.

That kiss grew deeper, and soon she couldn’t even remember what they were discussing, and then the waiter was bringing over some sample appetizers.

  * * * *

Vinny took her hand and held it on his lap. Sunny stroked her shoulder after they finished lunch.

“This is perfect, Adalina. Having you here with us. Picking you up at work and taking you to lunch. We know things are going to be a bit stressful for you, especially at work, but we’ll help make the transition run smoothly,” Vinny said to her.

>   She looked up into Vinny’s brown eyes. She adored him. Hell, she loved him and Sunny so much, but she was just still afraid to tell them and maybe admit it aloud.

“It doesn’t have to be so dramatic.” She looked down. Sunny pressed his fingers under her hair and against her neck. He gave a gentle squeeze, and it aroused her. Her pussy clenched, and her nipples hardened. These two men did things to her and made her crave them constantly.

He stared at her lips. “We have responsibilities, and a lot going on right now, but it’s all in preparation to build the family business and power, as well as provide for you and take care of you the way you deserve to be taken care of.”

“I don’t want you two thinking that I need so much. I mean I make my own money. I have a career, and it’s pretty obvious that I’m able to take care of myself.”

“No need to anymore. You’ve got us,” Sunny said and pressed his lips to hers. His hold on her neck added to the effect his kiss had on her. When she opened her eyes to look at him, she exhaled.

“Next time, we should order takeout and extend the lunch then head to your place.”

He smiled. “You are a naughty little thing, and tonight we’re going to show you a bit more of our expertise in the bedroom.”

“Oh really?” she asked, showing how surprised she was. Vinny’s hand slid right under her skirt to her panties. She tightened up and felt her cheeks flush.

“Skills, baby. We’ve got mad skills.” He then kissed her jaw.

Sunny’s and Vinny’s cell phones went off, and they released her and looked at the messages. She appreciated the reprieve and took the last sip of wine.

“I think we need the check,” she said, and Vinny raised his hand and signaled the waiter.

“We have some things to take care of anyway. So tonight, should we pick you up at work?” Vinny asked, and Sunny paid the bill.

“I may be working a little later,” she told them as they stood up and then said goodbye to Louie.

“Whatever time it is, we’ll come to get you.”

“I’ll let you know. Remember, like I said, slow,” she told Sunny, and he didn’t look too happy at all.
